We were facing North-Northwest. Blue star like object went from ground up, then left at 90 degree angle, back right, then down to close to ground. Then, again up and disappeared.

On 5/25/14 at 10:55 pm I stepped outside for a few as it was much cooler outside. I regularly watch aircraft from the back yard and track the ISS at its higher flight paths. When I first seen the object, just a small light as bright as an average star, It was 70-80 degrees above the western horizon and 30 degrees south of due west, tracking SSE to NNW. I thought it might be the ISS because it was much to high (small) and fast to be a plane. As it moved across the sky it seemed to disappear for a few seconds and then reappear as though there were clouds, There were no clouds! This happened three times from when I first saw it and when it reached a point about 40 degrees north of due west. It was then that the brightness increased exponentially, Bright white increasing the apparent size by at least ten times, this lasted about one second and it was out of my sight. The object never varied from it's track. I then went to check ISS tracking information and found it couldn't have been that. I then checked satellite flight tracking. and found this info for today, [ Idefix and Ariane 42B 10:28:00 pm SSW 10:32:02 29°3.8 (dim)] This is 30 min. too early and way too low in the sky. After thinking about it I believe what I saw was not the craft itself but rather the hot, burning exhaust gases. This would explain both the "disappearing" as the thrust was released and the increased brightness as extra thrust was applied. I don't know what it was but I would sure like to know.

It moved from West to East for about 1 minute, and then sped up and changed direction to north. Eventually it disappeared on the horizon. Bright from every angle and completely silent. I was outside smoking meat and watching my kids when I looked to the west and a bright sphere shaped object appeared in the sky. The object just appeared and didn’t seem to originate from any direction. It was a white yellowish in color and was brighter in appearance of other aircraft in the sky. At first I thought it was a piece of trash or a balloon in the sky as it slowly drifted east towards my direction. I went inside and got my Sony A330 DLSR with Sony 75-300mm lens and was able to get one good pictures due to forgetting my memory card in my computer. Getting my camera out was just to see if I could zoom in and see what it really was. At the same time I told my wife there was something in the sky but thought it was a plastic bag but made the offer to come out and take a look. The drift was almost like a sudden wobble and pause motion as it moved east. In Northern Las Vegas it’s pretty common to see a plastic bag or balloon caught in the wind. What made this different was how bright it was at the same time I could see the direction of the wind due to the dust in the air with my sun glasses and it was traveling against the wind. Once the bright object slowly made its way over Nellis AFB. It accelerated at amazing high rate of speed to the south and the object vanished. Faster than any known aircraft I know of and rivals shooting stars and satellites. There was an aircraft taking off from McCarran International Airport which was near in location of the object but the two were probably greatly separated by altitude and distance. I am in the United States Air Force and living on Nellis AFB and I can watch aircraft from Nellis AFB coming and going, as well as the air traffic lanes for takeoff and landing from North Las Vegas Airport and McCarran International Airport are great reference. All there is a commercial air traffic route over Las Vegas as well so I get to see a lot of different aircraft at different altitudes and speeds.

Reddish-orange circular object outlined by elo heading north to south. It was traveling at a decent rate of speed and then slowed down for 20 seconds as it went over our airport here it went vertical and out of sight no more lights. There was no such thing flashing it was a constant light until it went vertical out of sight. I called the airport sheriff and he said he saw nothing and gave me the phone number to the tower and nobody at the Tower answer the phone. This is my second fighting of an object like this. The first one was the size of a moon and was probably 40 miles away. The one thing I can't explain and I find interesting is that when I sleep I hear high pitched Morse code in my ears. I know you said you don't read anything that is a joke or a hoax I know this is crazy to most but the cold in my ears has gone on for years before I started to have sightings. I would like to know if you have gathered any other information that coincides with this.

One red disk/circle just flew overhead (east to west) while sitting outback looking at the trees and sky. It was so red and so round, so different than the planes and helicopters we see fly overhead, that we could not take our eyes off this object. Immediately grabbed iPad to see if anyone else has had a similar sighting. We have never seen anything like this, anything we would consider a UFO - like this.... When I went to the back door to check out what might be happening, the first thing I noticed was 2 bright circles about 100 feet above ground. At that time one was just above my house and moving very slowly, no noise could be heard from these objects. The one in the back was about 800 feet behind the 1st one and was identical. Witness does not indicate a date of the sighting, and she has not responded to our e-mail, requesting clarification. We have assigned an arbitrary date temporarily. PD

My girlfriend and I of almost 5 years decided to take a trip from Bothell, Washington, to Oklahoma city to see her niece graduate high school. We started our return trip home the day after her ceramony. We drove all day taking pictures along the way. We heard about a fire in the kingman arizona area from a couple at a rest stop in new mexico. After that we were watching the sky because it was actually glowing some from sun setting behind the smokey clouds. I hapened to look to north sky... and I seen strange objectes in the sky. It seemed to me there were strange smoke swirls that I have never seen before. I then held up my samsung s3 cell phone and took photos as we were driving. The objects seemed to be 2-5 miles away and strange cloud cover as well.

Bright round red object hovering in the sky, stayed in one spot then moved then hovered again then just disappeared. Looked like a red fire ball. The object was quite a distance away but clear enough to see clearly. Never seen anything like it before!

I was outside playing with my dog with a laser when at the corner of my eye I say a flash of a white light on my left I twisted my head to look. I thought it was a plane, but it did not flash again. Then another flash was at the other corner of my eye to the right. I looked suddenly that way but it then went away. I started searching intently in the sky for another light then bam! I saw a third light rite in the middle of the sky. I knew then what ever was making these flashes was not a plane. I ran inside to look for my phone and ran back out side bringing the laser with me just in case they were trying to talk to my laser (I know weird idea but didn't want to take the chance). Using my phone camera i recorded the sky but right when the last light lit up it was off camera by the time i pointed to it, it was gone. I hope I'm not the only one who saw these things in the sky. People say it must have been a drone or something the government made. I know what i saw n i don't want to feel crazy.

Was on a mountain road around 4:15 AM, and as I got about 2/3 mile down it, I looked out across the valley and saw a circular set of lights rotating or flashing rapidly on the next mountain top over from my position. They were covering the area of about one and a half football fields and were stationary, just hovering. Size of the object about these lights was large (could tell from the way the stars and sky were blocked out.) I watched for about ten minutes, then it occurred to me I was sitting there with my head lights on and could be seen as well so I drove off. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Forgot to add to my previous report that the circular lights object was eight miles or north of Rupert. ((END ADDENDUM))

Me and my girlfriend was driving up my street and we saw a circular object with illuminating green rings around it flying tree line in the air for about 5 minutes then it looked like it landed or disappeared in the woods.

It looked like a low-flying plane was completely engulfed in orange flame, there was no trail, the orange extended upward a bit. It was going at the pace and speed of a plane, in a straight line for about 2 min, then it seemed to turn about 30 degrees and slow a bit, and maybe drop altitude a bit, but ultimately continued on, getting smaller and farther away. When it was very small it seemed to dim and brighten in a pulsating fashion. I called my 7 year-old son in and he saw it too and we watched it until it was gone. Nothing fell from it, no debris, no tail. I am a registered nurse.

Then it got really bright and flew away faster then anything I have seen before. I have seen comets and shooting stars before and it wasnt one of those and it was no plane. This isnt the first time I have seen something like this but now I feel like people should really know whats going on in the world and that these things do happen.

On the evening of 5/17/2014, I had walked out of the back door of my house to let my dog out to do its business. When I looked up into the sky to see a what appeared to be very intense redish/orange ball of light coming out of the North heading due South across the sky. This object was flying at an altitude that appeared to be just above the mountaintops when I first spotted it. I ran inside an had my wife come out into the backyard to witness this event. The object seemed very rapidly ascend into the sky with the glow dissipating as it ascended. I was able to capture this event by recording it on my cellphone. When it reached a certain altitude, the object started to dim and appeared to flicker on and off twice, then it appeared to be a black craft triangular in shape very high in the sky. This craft then disappeared from sight. As I turned to go back into the house, my wife had called to me in a loud excited voice and exclaimed that another redish/g! lowing object was flying the same pattern and route as the first. We were able to also video tape this object as well. I had instructed my wife to retrieve our son's telescope but was unable to bring the object into focus with the telescope. We videotaped this object as it rapidly ascended and suddenly disappeared out of sight. During the videotaping, I was able to video an aircraft flying high above our house roof with its blinking lights to clearly show the contrast between the aircraft and these two objects that we saw and filmed. The very interesting but disturbing thing about this encounter is, that we had seen the same phenomenon approx. 3 miles East of where I live the later part of last summer while riding our motorcycle. We pulled off the road with 4 other vehicles and we all watched in amazement as 5 of these objects did aerobatics unlike anything we had ever seen. They like the two comparable objects we had seen tonight ascended rapidly and seemed to vanis! h into the atmosphere. I had made a report of last summer's sightings on the MUFON site. I had since been trying to make sense of this. I had first heard of this site from the Coast to Coast A.M. radio program. I started listening to Coast to Coast after the first encounter. I would very much like to have a follow up concerning these sightings and I will say that it sort of unnerves my wife and I, especially being that we have witnessed this phenomenon twice. Also of note, on both occasions, these objects did not make any discernible noise whatsoever the whole time they were visible.

I landed at Hawthorne airport in Los Angeles at approximately 9pm in a small piston airplane. I parked the airplane and was waiting for my guests to arrive when I noticed what appeared to be 4 aircraft approaching from the west. They caught my attention as they were dimly lit with steady lights (i.e. did not have any flashing lights) which is not typical of aircraft (airplanes/helicopters typically have flashing lights). It was somewhat hard to determine what the craft were as they were coming towards my location so at times it appeared as though they were craft coming towards me, and because of this viewing angle, it also appeared as thought someone may have simply let go of some circular balloons that were floating "up" and may just be reflecting city lights from below (as objects at a constant altitude that are approaching you in the sky also appear to be moving "up"). Once the objects moved much closer I was able to determine that the! y were not balloons floating up but were indeed a formation of 4 separate objects flying from west to east directly overhead. The craft flew directly overhead at what appeared to be considerable altitude (it's extremely difficult to judge, but I would estimate anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 feet in altitude. It was very difficult to determine the shape of the craft, as it was night time, but the craft appeared to have lights on the bottom that either outlined a somewhat circular shape or would "move" in such a way as to be consistent with a circular TV screen with various pixels turning on and off. They were clearly all separate craft as they flew in loose formation and changed position in relation to one another, but generally maintained a somewhat traditional formation consistent with a group of aircraft (i.e. all moving in the same directly with somewhat equal spacing, with the space between the craft roughly 5-10 times the length of each craft). They appeared to move generally in a straight line at a speed consistent with a highe r flying jet or a lower flying helicopter, yet the shape of the objects was neither of these things, and the light patterns of each were slightly different. The light patterns almost appeared reminiscent of the large TV type display contained on the side of the Goodyear blimp, yet much more dimly lit. One craft appear to be completely constantly lit in a circular shape. The center was dark with increasing light towards the edges and slight color variation moving form center to edge. The other craft shared this same general characteristic and color pattern, but the "lights" themselves were not steady state (i.e. the entire circle was not always "lit up" at one time). One craft was lit in such a way as it looked light a two bladed helicopter rotor slowly spinning and fading a trail of fading light behind it (i.e. one line drawn across a circle that rotated and cast a fading trail behind). This appeared to rotate at a speed of roughly once every 3-5 seconds ! (i.e. MUCH slower than a helicopter rotor system). This object was the third in line. The 4th object had a light patter which appeared to be a somewhat loosely drawn triangle which seemed to constantly "morph" and change position and shape within the context of the larger circle (like a screen saver on a computer screen). The objects did not appear to make any noise, however this is not unusual of aircraft in the area as the wind, distance, and city noise can easily drown out aircraft noise. I am a helicopter and jet pilot with 14+ years of flying experience and do not believe these craft to be civilian helicopters or airplanes. I had a substantial amount of time to observe these craft (several minutes?) and attempted to take photo with my iPhone, however given the distance and the night time, I was not able to get a quality photo (again, to be expected given the conditions and equipment used). After the craft had passed overhead, and while they were still in plain view towards the east of my location, I called the Southern California Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON), 858-537-5900, and asked if they were tracking any formation of aircraft in the area. The controller initially said they often routed "downwind" traffic for LAX over my location. I indicated that the objects I was referring to were not downwind airliners headed to LAX, but rather were a group of 4 strange objects which now appeared to be well east (perhaps over fullerton airport) and were continuing to travel east bound. TRACON employees indicated that they were not tracking any objects in that area, and said they were "Looking at the radar right now," and did not see anything that fit this description or any other unusual traffic or radar targets. The objects continued to move east and eventually faded from view (as any aircraft would).

I turned à corner and 6-8 lights appeared about cloud level. I am very familiar with aviation and know they were not planes or helicopters. They were low to thé ground and there was no sound. There was no body..just lights. Steady lights, no blinking. I have pics from my phone and short vidéo of one.

I pulled into my driveway getting out I looked up into the sky and seen a black perfect circle moving north west to south east. No sound of propulsion system. I first, I thought it was a remote control toy. As it became closer I realized this is not a toy since it passed directly over the house. I could not tell the size of it due to clear skies. I have witness two UFO's in my life.

Was round, flashed very brightly in sky, was quite low maybe a few hundred ft up, was very fast went from about 60º to over horizon of the trees in seconds, out of site just as fast... second time ive see n it also, the first time only seen it a few seconds, drove to a vantage point 20 seconds away, nothing..could see for miles in direction it was headed....

A Cecile object came streaking across the NE sky of the San Fernando, sylmar nik base mountains headed north, and gave a bright flash, and faded off as a solid object continuing north. We spoke with the witness via telephone, in order to confirm the time, and in order to determine what a "Cecile object" is, and he was not very helpful. We still do not know what a "Cecile object" is. We cannot certify that this is a sincere report. PD

Me and my family members were driving north on 281 through Lampasas and we were looking to the west and saw what looked like an orange shooting star just burning out. They told me it was probably just a plane and then about 15 minutes later there were several lights that lit up and were spinning in a counter clockwise direction. I could clearly see that there were bright individual orange lights on the UFO. After about 10 minutes of driving we just laughed about it and forgot. The lights then came on again in front if us to the east of 281 and I glanced over to the west and there were two flying objects flying at high speeds towards the UFO. 1 minute later the two flying objects disappeared and the orange lights came on again and repeatedly came on and went off for about 2 minutes. Haven't seen it since. Tried to video but it was too dark Witness provides no contact information. PD

I saw a Ufo that was gray, round, and small. The aircraft was flying across a field and it was flying very slowy and low above the trees. The ufo suddenly disappeared into the sky after going above the trees. Possible hoax, we wonder? Source elects to remain totally anonymous, and provides an e-address which seems flawed. PD
