This is a reoccurring event. Myself and a fellow eye witness have viewed this abnormally excessively bright light in the sky. The fact it can be seen from varying locations (often several miles from each other) suggests to me this object is quite far away/high in the sky. I have watched this light through telescope, and despite the increased magnification, I cannot make it out as a particular object that I find to be recognizable. I see a light, seemingly in the south east. It almost appears to be a very bright star or a neighboring planet upon first glance. Yet I have little doubt it is either of those based on the observations both myself and a fellow eye witness have viewed, due to its movements. It almost always subtle makes very suble shifts or changes in location, but it isn’t something easily explainable for me at least. When the sun rises the object slowly fades away into the blue of the day light’s sky. I have no issue with some of the more controversial measures our government has taken in more recent years, if indeed it is justified in the fight against our adversaries (i.e. warrantless wire Taps) provided surveillance is done responsibly. I fear our 4th amendment is eroding though, but I’m hesitant to even report what I’d likely assume to be nonsense if I personally had not witnessed the phenomenon close to dozens of times at this point if I had to guess. I’m usually the skeptical one in any given group, but this is truly remarkable to witness. I see this so frequently in the night’s sky it has become the norm essentially. I feel perhaps any reasonable expectation of privacy with regard to uav/drones given substantial increases in their use? should be addressed by the highest court, which can be better understood with respect to our 4th amendment through precedents that have become the standard by our judiciary system, or were rather. Is this big brother? I know not the! answer to such a question. I hope the intrusive practices I’m assuming to be witnessing are necessary for our safety as a nation. Possible sighting of Jupiter or Mars, we suspect. PD

A small green light moving west to east in the southern sky. The green light had a white trail 10 times the length of the greean ball of light. It covered my complete field of view in 4 seconds nearly perfectly horizontal in its trajectory. Size was very dificult to determine. My best guess would be it was 10 miles south of Winnebago and at roughly 3,000 ft. I have seen meteors and this was distinctly a green light about the size of a M&M in the sky. Given its small size if it had been a manned craft it would have been traveling at a speed I have never wittnessed. I have also seen fighter jets from 1 to 10 miles away and this was faster than any jet. I have never seen something like this before and was startled enough to find somewhere to report it.

I live near a flight path for Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA). I was in our backyard, and had just watched (and heard) a jet fly roughly overhead (NE) in its landing pattern towards DCA. A minute or so later, I saw a bright light or shiny object moving in the opposite direction (SW). It moved at roughly the same relative speed as the jet, given the jet was probably 2000-5000 feet above me. I assumed this shiny object was also a plane, with the Sun reflecting off it, but it made no noise whatsoever. As it moved away, it took on the appearance of two lights, but i can't vouch for that as I sometimes see slightly double at a distance. The brightness, considering this was broad daylight and a completely cloudless sky, and the complete lack of noise were enough to make me think twice. When it disappeared behind a tree, I got up and exited our backyard to the parking lot behind our house to get another look. The trip took me three seconds, but when I to got the parking lot, the object was no longer visible. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Around 3:30am a friend of mine and I were grabbing a bag from her car, and turned back towards our home. We noticed what we thought was an oddly bright star, then thought it might be a plane, then realized it was flickering like fire and sort of, hazy and floating. 2 neighbors' dogs were barking at sky in its direction. Filmed on cell phone and called a roommate out to see, could be seen by roommate and cellphone also. It gave off a sort of irridescent light, almost colorful occasionally. It drifted closer and closer to homes, dipped to treeline, then moved further back and got really bright and winked out.

At about 45 degrees South, a small point of light appeared, looking like a bright star, it flashed even brighter. Moving Southwest very slowly and vanished. A few seconds later, another point of light appeared directly above me, moving Northeast at a slow rate. I immediately thought it was the I.S.S. (having seen the Space Station before, it looked very similar), however at about 40 degrees, it seemed to stop and change direction moving North. After continuing for a few moments it changed direction to Northeast again. I followed the point of light until it finally disappeared behind the treeline.

While driving southbound on SR 135 between Stones Crossing and Olive Branch, all 4 occupants in my car observed 2 orange lights flying from SE to NE. When we first saw the lights, they were east of SR 135. We decided to pull over into Dyes Walk Golf Club to observe the lights. We got out of the car, and observed the following. Both lights/craft appeared to be traveling between 2000-3000 feet and a speed of around 200 knots. We could hear no noise from the lights/craft. The trailing light when above us, moved up next to the other light and maintained side by side formation. That light then suddenly disappeared. The other light continued moving NW for another 30 seconds or so, getting dimmer, then brighter, then accelerated at a high rate of speed and completely disappeared. Both my self and my wife (who was also one of the observers in the car) are both career pilots. I know how airplanes move and what the exterior lighting should look like. No aircraft uses orange lights, and I’ve never in my long career have witnessed anything like this. It was truly astounding. I made a phone call to the Indianapolis Airport control tower/TRACON apx 30 min later and described the event to the supervisor. He stated they did not observe anything of that nature on radar or from the tower.

While on vacation to Acadia, National Park in Maine, we were camped in Trenton, Maine, right on the water. The sky was very clear with a bright Milky Way, so I decided to walk to the beach to take some night shots. While setting up my camera, a meteor streaked overhead, travelling from west to east. I noted that it was much slower than the typical meteor, about ½ speed, I would say. The color was yellowish and it did not leave any tail or trail. The strange part was that at the end, rather than simply disappearing as meteors do, it seemed to suddenly slow, and 3 lights came on. I recall seeing 2 whitish/yellow and 1 red light that were a lot like aircraft lights. They went off as quickly as they came on, almost as if an aircraft turned on its landing and strobe lights, then quickly turned them off. The object was probably around 5 to 10 miles from my position, based on the landmarks. No sound was made. It was just an odd observation.

Stepped outside to walk a friend to his truck after a brief visit. We both immediately saw a large red light in the sky, which faded after 20 or 30 seconds. It seemed to undulate or subtly flash.

We were observing the stars on a camping trip and noticed two large yellow/orange lights floating about 100 yards from each other they remained level and appeared to turn- similar to a submarine. The lights were much closer than the stars appeared, they moved very slowly, about 5-10mph before it turned disappearing. The lights disappeared one then the other into nothing.

Driving west bound outside of reno at approx.9:10 the object came from the south east of reno over highway 80 and went toward the west. the Object was so bright I was waiting for it to burn out. It stayed strong with its pattern and the speed was much faster then a air craft. what caught my eye is that this object never brock direction and never blinked to show other air travelers of flight path. Also,i could tell the other drivers on free way were seeing cause the truck in front of me almost didn't turn with Freeway and went into guardrail.

On the morning of July 5, 2018, approximately at 4.12 am I woke up as usual to go use a bathroom. As I sat on my bed, I saw a BRIGHT light coming from the sky lights in my bathroom to by bedroom. My bathroom is in my bedroom. The light went all the way behind a corner in my bedroom and created a rectangle. I was puzzled but I got up and went into the bathroom to look what was going on. As I walked into the bathroom I saw VERY sharp and bright light right above the sky light. I had to shield my eyes from the brightness. I could see only sharp blue/white light covering the whole window. It reminded me movies about aliens where people have to shield their eyes because of the brightness. However, I lost the next 10 minutes. I only remember waking up and sitting back on my bed. Still looking at the bright light. I turned my back to it and went to sleep. This whole time my inner voice was telling me to 'just go to sleep'. I woke up to go to work at 5.20 am and the light was gone. I have no idea why I did not wake my husband up or did not take pictures. I just had this very happy feeling. On July 6th, 2018, at 4.23 am the light was there again, but in distance. It was not covering my window. This time I took pictures. first I thought it was a full moon, however, on July 8, 2018 I took a picture of the moon and found out that it was not full moon.

I witnessed a light on Saturday night near the Columbus airport in a neighborhood close by. I watched it for at least 2 hours and it seemed to move occasionally. It was much bigger than a star and would pulsate and flash or blink. Sometimes it would go much dimmer.i took many videos and zoomed way in with a camera app on my phone to took several photoa. They are not the best quality but the object seems to have a circle in the middle of an x in the visible ones. My phone kept shutting off as if I had no battery even though it was well charged. Eventually I left and was wondering what it could have been. My friend whos house it was didn't think it was a ufo of any kind and blew the idea off. July 3rd late at night we saw the same light in the same exact spot and I felt embarrassed thinking I must have been wrong about the ufo idea. It must be a satellite or something else. I'm not sure but two times in the same spot made me doubt myself. Then there was last ni! ght July the 4th. I saw the same light again. It seemed brighter and this time there was also a 2nd one a ways across the sky. I was no certain something is going on and when I went inside to get my phone to take a picture I came back out and it was completely gone. The first light remained there and didn't seem to do anything strange. Aside from the occasional flashes and blinks it never flew or moved. It seemed to just stay in the same place. Possible sighting of Mars, we wonder? PD

My wife and I were on our rooftop to watch fireworks on the 4th of July 2018. We have a clear view of The Sears Tower (Willis Center) which is about 2.5 miles away. I noticed a red light, a bit brighter than what we typically see on top of building or tall antenna for aviation purposes. We also could see that all the buildings had their own red light(s) on top for identification purposes. The thing that I noticed very quickly was that this red light was above the Sears Tower beacons by a long shot and was no way a part of that buildings antennas. The red light would stay solid for about 20 seconds then off for about 2-3 seconds, back on for about 5 seconds, back off for 2-3 seconds and finally stay on for 20-30 seconds. This process lasted about 10-15 minutes. Then the light moved in a completely straight horizontal motion, did the blink sequence and moved back to where it was. It then moved in a completely straight vertical motion down above another building, eventually moving back up. These movements were not fast nor slow but for the distance we were viewing from the movement was probably in fact very fast. At the end of this viewing the light switched from green to red and back to red several times and also did a white light blinking sequence for about 5-10 seconds before finally staying red. These color changes all happened while sitting in one spot at a time. We finally decided to leave the roof top because a large lightning storm was approaching and the winds were very strong. In fact we could see the larger fireworks being blown northeast into the wind quite dramatically. That was also very strange to see this light not moving with the wind as a drone or helicopter might. My first reaction was a helicopter but I have never witnessed a helicopter move in right angles so precisely. My wife suggested a Drone but I don't believe a drone can stabilize so well in 20-30 winds and if I had to guess this light was probably 3k-7k above the lake. From our vantage point the light would have been closer to southeast Chicago or possibly even Indiana. When we got back into out apartment I was excited to get my spotting scope set up to look at it but of course it was not there nor did it reappear for the next hour or so while we stayed awake.

While watching the fireworks tonight I saw what looked like two different colored lights circling the fireworks display. The first one was a green one that was blinking for about a minute and then about a minute later a red one showed up and did the same thing. Then they disappeared. Or maybe it was only one object that changed color. It was like both lights were observing the fireworks. I don’t know what they were. I keep thinking that maybe they were someone’s drone or something. Unidentified Flying Object right? The second I realized what I might be seeing I took note of the time and committed everything I was seeing to memory so that I could record and report it here. I sure hope that I find out someday. Until then I’m gonna keep my eyes to the sky.

I saw one bright red light, that stayed in one place for about 15 minutes, then zoomed over to another spot and sat there for another 15 minutes. Then it lowered down out of sight. It seemed to change color when it was stationary. It seemed to be about the size a of a large star, when a helicopter flew beneath, it (helicopter) was quite small in comparison.

One changing (red and green) light, flying very fast, doing back and forward and verticals movements, very fast. It went flying west to east for a distance of around 3 miles, then returned completely to the original sport and then continued flying north for about 4 miles, then returned again to the original spot and just vanished. Movements were very fast, no noise. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Floating/stationary object in sky. Noticed it while waiting for fireworks. Was extremely bright at first, but it since has slightly adjusted its position and brightness. Planes/helicopters have flown almost close to it and continue to circle it seems like. Too bright to be a star and too low. It has only moved ever so slightly so it's not a plane or helicopter. Started at 9:15 PM or so

At first, thought it might be 4th of July fireworks, but 3 orange non-blinking lights were holding a relative pattern in the sky (undetermined altitude, but very far away and probably very high. The sighting was East of the Winchester City (VA) Eventually there were only two orange lights - thought was possible cloud cover (?) We spoke via telephone with the witness, and we found him to be exceptionally eloquent, and serious-minded. He is a professional instructor. PD

At first white object passed by spinning with white lights on the side. The white light then turned orange and was floating and gently moving in the sky having static motions (jumping) from side to side and kept moving in the same position for almost half an hour before it faded out.
