Stepped outside to back porch between 6:30 and 7ish pm on Wed 1/25 (could've been 1/26 but I think it was Wed). It was dark but the porch light was on. I looked up at the sky to see the stars and when I looked to my left (East) I saw a "V" shaped light pattern moving in a due West direction, directly over head. It looked to be very low and very large (I could see it between the roof line of the house and the tree branches which normally, if I see a plane, it's 100 times smaller). I could hear an engine but it wasn't near as loud as when planes go over head at a lower altitude (Richmond airport is about 15 miles from us). It proceeded to my right (West) and then went out of sight over the tree tops. There were five white lights...one in the center at the point of the V and two to each side; and there was one green, small light behind the V shape but further back than the tips of the V. I called my husband out and he got there in time to see it flyin! g away and fading out of sight but he did see it. Since we heard an engine, we thought it was a B-52 Stealth or some kind of very large military plane. But, we have seen a Stealth and they make hardly any sound at all so I don't think that was it. And this was so low that I truly expected to hear on the news that a military plane had crashed in the mountains near Charlottesville, VA (which was the direction it was heading). There is an airport in C-ville but I wouldn't imagine a huge military plane landing there since it's a very small airport. I don't know what we saw but we really don't think it was a plane. What made me start looking on the internet to see if anyone else had reported anything was because a day or so later, up until last week, we had tons of military chopper activity going back and forth. We are close to DC and a couple of military bases so we get training ops flying overhead every once in a while. But not usually this much activity.

2:40am, I was smoking a cigarette in front of my home, when I looked up and saw this octagon shaped craft hovering over the trees and stopped for almost 2 mins just hovering I called my son since he wasn't able to sleep either to make sure I was seeing what I thought it was. Then when I turned my head it began to spin uncontrollably, saw this HUGE flash of light like a lightening bolt and this horrifying ZOOM type noise and it vanished, as I was pondering over what I had saw, the object began to appear once again this time in the shape of a triangle, making its way towards the school that's next to my development. It seemed like it was jumping stones like weird. It would appear closer in the blink of an eye. I tried to get a pic on my phone but in a flash it disappeared. When I walked inside my home, it was 3:30am that's what scared me. I'm honestly shook over this.

I was letting my roommate's dog outside, when I saw a group of fluorescent green lights in the form of a chevron. This was observed a few minutes after 23:30 MST approximately 4 blocks south of CSU Fort Collins campus. The event lasted for 5 to 10 seconds. It was a clear night with no clouds, stars were visible. I was the only witness who saw this. I am a senior at Colorado State studying Civil Engineering and have a good understanding of physics, optics, and trigonometry. There were 5 to 7 lights in the formation, and were first seen 20 to 30 degrees above the horizon. I was looking south when I first sighted them, and watched them move north almost directly overhead; they were 20 degrees from vertical to the east of me. As the chevron passed over head, it started accelerating and gaining altitude, before the lights disappeared 40 to 50 degrees above the horizon looking north. The lights were observed for a total of 100 to 120 degrees in the sky. As the lights passed from south to north, they changed shape from a chevron into a straight line. I live on a N-S-E-W street grid, and I can determine that the lights were traveling within 10 degrees of the N-S axis. From the observation point, the lights appeared relatively small, but much larger than a star. The individual lights were round, with a hazy edge and appeared to be about 1/6 the size of the moon. The chevron formation had a span of 3 moons, and stayed approximately this size for the entire duration, as they changed shape. As the object passed overhead, it made no sounds. The dog I was letting out did not respond to the event. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and we found him to be eloquent, and sober-minded. In part, because of his technical training, we suspect he is a very capable witness. He has submitted a very nice graphic, which illustrates the sighting, and which is posted to the NUFORC website. While me and my wife are returning home this evening, driving south on Bridgeport Way, we see in the southwest sky, above the skyline, 4 bright white lights in a chevron pattern must be at least a mile wide from our angle! Does anyone else see these??

I stepped outside and something caught my eye. I looked upward and saw what looked like 5 faint lights in a V pattern moving at a very high rate of speed, direction SW. This lasted about 2 or 3 seconds until I lost site of it over my house and trees. Absolutely no sound. My first thought was a glider. It seemed to be low, maybe a few thousand feet, however, that would put rate of speed in excess of 1000mph, which I think would cause a boom.

We were walking across parking lot to restaurant and paused to take pics of full moon...1st pic a selfie, no craft....10ft further stopped for another pic of moon only and THERE it was....moving slow no noise....appeared to have 3 white lights...when examining photo larger it is 3 sets of double lights.

looked up in sky and seen a V shaped something in the sky with big round lights on the bottom. then after about 15 seconds or so it went very fast through the sky way faster than you see when you look up and see a plane going by this was much faster and the lights coming from the bottom of it were very bright

Bright light in sky where none is normally visible. With binoculars, it appeared to be a chevron shape with white and sometimes red lights. It was static for about 20 minutes, when we looked a few minutes later, it was gone. We posted photos to FACEBOOK.

I’d just stepped out of my friend’s house after a comedic session of Dungeons & Dragons. We’d watched TV, talked about video games, the usual for our age group. A normal Sunday night. I was the last one to leave. I didn’t expect to see something in the sky, but then again, I don’t think anyone does. It was one of those rare cloudless nights where LA’s famous light pollution doesn’t ruin a decent view of the stars over the suburbs. I’m originally from a very small town, so I don’t take celestial beauty for granted. I looked up at the sky to admire the stars, and that’s when I saw it. My first thought was “airplane,” but this was immediately replaced by “drone?” because it was too fast for a commercial flight, and completely silent. And then I thought that it couldn’t have been a drone, because again, it was completely silent, and the most common drones are quadcopters. This thing was in the shape of a chevron, and dark gray. It was a little larger than the moon, which was slightly farther away. Another thing that perplexed me besides the speed were the lights. Three of them, one on each wing end and one under the middle corner, unblinking, and a dim gray. I’ve never seen gray lights in my life. The chevron was headed southeast, when suddenly, without slowing down, it made a sharp, tight U-turn, pivoted, and disappeared before my eyes. I didn’t blink, I didn’t look away for a second, and there were no clouds for it to hide behind. It was there, and then it was gone. I don't think we have the technology to make planes turn the way this thing did. We spoke with the young woman who submitted the report, as well as two high-quality illustrations. She seemed to us to be quite eloquent and serious-minded. We suspect that she is an excellent witness. PD

driving my car to the store and looked up to see a chevron shaped craft overhead. approximately 300 feet in the air with blinking lights on the two ends. very low and going very slow. I stopped in the middle of the street to watch where it was headed but it was too slow and I was sitting in traffic. Others had to see it. I then drove to the store and bought something. I was in the store for about 5 minutes and drove back to my house. The craft was still overhead, a little further away but it was hovering in mid air. I then ran back inside my home to report this. I have seen quite a few unidentified objects recently and wonder if it has anything to do with the power station across the street from my house.

I was standing outside and happened to look up and saw a grey boomerang shaped object moving silently across the sky then over the house where I lost sight of it. I could hear a plane in the distance, but there was no sound coming from the object I was watching. It was moving from the north east to southwest. There were no lights and I would not have seen it had I not looked up at just that momemt. It was just lighter than the dark night sky and had a solid appearance. I could not tell exactly how large it was because I couldn't tell exactly how high it was. My best guess would be 500 to 1000 feet. I would just cover the object with my thumb.

Very dim white lighting, appr 5 evenly spaced lights down each leg of the chevron. Glided by in total silence, headed in a south direction. We viewed it for appr 3 seconds. It was not flying particularly fast and did not seem to be more than 5000 to 8000 feet in altitude. Both of us seen it clearly, and passed by in total utter silence.

I was driving East on Highway 48 toward Bushnell, Florida. I saw something pyramid shaped in the sky directly in front of me. It was very shiny & was reflecting the sun. I can't be sure whether or not it was emitting any light because I assumed the sun's reflection was what made it look so bright. It looked like it was made out of shiny sheet metal. It wasn't moving at all. I told my 5 year old son to look up at the sky but by the time I pointed to it, it was gone. He did not see it & I continued to look for it for a few minutes but could not find it again. I've never seen anything like this before & what really amazed me was that it didn't fly away quickly, it just disappeared completely.

I was in the back yard with my dogs and talking on the phone when I happened to see a blue chevron shaped object traveling from west to east. I abruptly ended my call so that I could capture this on video. By the time I ended the call I noticed it was difficult to capture as the object changed shape?? It looked more disc like and was doing odd maneuvers; darting from side to side, up and down and very high rates of speed and I would lose sight of it. However, I did get a short clip.

On November 19, 2016, at 23:00, I looked up to my right and noted this huge object that was soft light color/glowing softly, noticeable,come across the 10th hole fairway of Prairie Green Golf course from west to east. Noted there seemed to be like material on object, that was like fluttering like a flag in the air but again, no sound at all. Complete silence as it continued moving in easterly direction. Huge.

Stepped outside my friend's apartment and saw a v-shaped arrangement of 7 reddish lights moving directly overhead from North to South at a very high speed. I'm no expert, but my guess was it was travelling at least Mach 3 or 4. It crossed the sky in about 5 seconds. Much faster than a commercial aircraft. No sound.

I was working at the AT&T building in Redmond, WA, doing a demo job. I and a colleague took debris outside to dump into the truck. I had to reach up to move a piece of debris, when at that moment a huge V-shaped aircraft flew over my head. The time was midnight and the sky was clear aside from light fog. The aircraft was not flying too fast but was pretty low. I could near no noise and could see either brown circular spots or lights on both sides of the craft though the spots or lights werent spaced evenly. It was huge in size and its crazy but Im almost sure I could see through it.... as if it were slightly transparent. I could see the fog moving as it cruised by. It was almost as if it were gliding instead of flying. It speed and direction were both constant and steady. And just in matter of seconds vanished into the night sky. This was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. It was flying sooo low and I could see it so well. Right over the buildings is the way it looked and it was big!
