I was outside having a smoke, and happened to be looking upward watching for shooting stars. I had seen three meteors earlier in the evening, including two immediately before the sighting, and thought maybe we were having a meteor shower. I noticed something very faint, but large, moving across the sky. At first I wasn't sure if I was seeing my own smoke reflecting in the patio lights, but as it crossed overhead it became obvious that it was some sort of object. The object came from the north crossed directly over my head, and continued southbound. It was extremely hard to see, and was just a slightly lighter shade then the surrounding sky. I have the impression that it was tan in color, though I can't say for certain that I saw a color. It was boomerang shaped, and the thought of a large v formation of birds did enter my mind. However, as it flew over, and my eyes became more adjusted to it, it was easier to see it was a large solid mass. It made no sounds, had no lights, and silently glided across the sky from my 11 o'clock, over my head, to me losing view of it behind my house at about my 3 o'clock position. It did this in about 10 to 15 seconds. It was moving about the speed of a conventional jet flying at low altitude. From my perspective, its size was roughly similar to standing at the end of a runway and watching the wings of a DC9 fly over. I have nothing to reference for altitude other then it appeared to be below the scattered cloud cover. According to Weather Underground, the current cloud conditions are Scattered 1300 to 3100 feet. My dog was outside with me, and though I was too busy watching the object to check to see if she visually noticed it, she didn't bark or act out. I could have moved to look around the side of the house and observe the object for a longer period, but to be honest, my gut instinct was that I needed to get back inside rapidly. I am an ex-aviation professional, and have experience with nighttime aircraft identification. I have observed many astronomical and meteorological anomalies, and I have never seen anything like this. USCENTCOM is nearby, as well as Avon Park bombing range, so its not uncommon to see a wide variety of aircraft in this area at both day and night. I have no idea if this was something military, but I do suspect from its stealth that it was not something that was meant to be seen. Something about the way that it moved, its silence, and the surrealism of the situation was eerie, and still has me upset hours later.

I was in my yard looking up while taking the dog out and quickly spotted a satellite, then a plane, then my eye caught the movement of a dark v shaped craft with 5-6 dim, barely visible lights outlining it, going southwest silently across the sky. I would guess the craft was about as high as the helicopters that routinely cruise around the city, and within 5-10 seconds, it was past the treeline.

I was standing in front of my door elevated above the street looking up in the sky when I noticed a transparent craft in a v shape moving silently across the sky in a SW direction it had dim lights in a v-shape it seemed like it was a chevron-shaped dark color it moved very slow as slow as a helicopter. I was outside with my mom and baby, looking at the night sky. Looking up I saw a crescent shaped UFO. It was a similar color to a dark cloud in the night sky. It was dark grey and it looked like a boomerang. It was moving relatively fast, but I tracked it for about 5 seconds. It moved Northwest to Southeast. It moved from behind one tree directly overhead across to be behind another. I guess it would have been under under 5,000 feet, but it was hard to tell. It was silent as it moved. It was really freaky. It looked like solid smoke. It had no lights and was perfectly shaped. It should also be noted that I live near one of Boeing's manufacturing plants. It could have been military, but it was definitely something I've never seen before.

The craft came from south to north, hovered over toward west doing a grid like movement. At the time I called Ma. State Police Sturbridge and reported it, we had the feeling it was over Quabbin Resevoir. The triangle had a green flash and inside flashed red and bright light. We had seen this type on ma pike west in July and marvelled at it and let it go

What I saw: It was a clear night, the moon was below the horizon to the east and I was laying outside in Superior, CO, on our patio furniture star gazing above. At 10:55PM, I was astonished to see a rather faint chevron shaped craft come into view from the east and continue to disappear to the west in only 3 seconds time. If I hadn’t been looking in the exact location I was, then I never would have seen it, as it wasn’t particularly bright and was moving extremely fast. It was visible to me within 90 degrees, or half the sky, and then faded away. Before it disappeared the lights seemed to move or deform in relation to one another, each getting closer/further away from one another. For a moment I thought maybe it was 5 separate craft flying in perfect formation, but I had noticed a body structure so this couldn’t have been the case. Odd side note - as I’m writing this the following evening, a large black military helicopter has decided to visit our neighborhood several times. Here are some details about the craft: It made no noise and it was very faint. It was the fastest thing I have ever seen. There were no flashing lights but instead five good sized lights on the underside, two on each side leading to one at the front. I didn’t see the details of the front or the ends of the chevron. The lights or something else partially illuminated the edges of the craft. The color of the lights were whitish-yellow or that of a warm colored light bulb. I could not denote any color to the craft so I assumed it was black like the sky. After it passed, I estimated it to be four fingers wide when I held out my fingers to measure its width. For me, thats about 3 inches wide at 21” from my face. My thoughts after this happened: I thought maybe some kind of cloaking technology was used, as before it disappeared there was a weird distortion of its appearance. The lights seemed to ride an invisible wave, almost like when you look at the sun or bright light when under water - like a pool. I couldn’t specifically tell the altitude of it, but it seemed to be at least as high as the commercial jets, I can’t fathom what the size of this thing could be if it was higher. For what it’s worth: I’m used to seeing a wide variety of aircraft fly overhead while looking at the stars, as DIA is 35 miles away so we get a lot of jets flying over. The commercial jets seem to take about 30 seconds to cover the same area of whatever I saw. I live next to a small airport, and we’ve had every kind of aircraft from Cessnas to Slurry Bombers and F-16s at the local air shows, they are all audible, even the very high altitude jets. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hi Peter, I’m a Coast Insider and knew to come to your site as I hear you on the show all the time. Great work by the way, I love hearing your reports! Oddly enough, I was actually listening to Sundays show on aliens and ufos. Not too unlikely I suppose, but it made me think of when George says, “Everything happens for a reason." It was hard to not file this report while I was working, I’ve been thinking about this thing all day long. Also, thanks for taking the time to put together such a great database of reports. So in terms of distance, beginning to end : If I were to lay on my back and hold my arms straight up to the sky and measure the angle of my arms, they would be 90 degrees or a right angle. Now that distance that was visible was almost directly over me (it was actually offset), so 45 degrees left from straight up to 45 degrees right of straight up. Not sure if this makes total sense, I tried to find a website with details of how to explain the arc and other details in astronomical terms. It was also almost travelling perfectly east to west, but I estimated that was also off by a few degrees when looking at Google Maps. I’d say it was slightly SE to NW, but almost true West… again not sure how to best explain it. I did have one thought I forgot to add to my ‘For what it’s worth section’. It doesn’t have to get appended to the report, but I thought you might find this interesting. This morning I told a coworker you never know what this thing could have been, an alien craft or a high tech military craft, one that’s probably headed to North Korea. Five minutes later I thought to myself… 'why would it have lights on the bottom of it then!’ Anyhow, food for thought I suppose. Thanks again, NUFORC Not: We spoke with the witness via telephone, and he sounded to us to be quite sober-mided and sincere. We suspect that he is a highly reliable witness. PD

About 11:00pm, in the city of Phoenix, Az, about 5 miles South of Sky Harbor airport, as I sat in my backyard I observed a black chevron-shaped UFO pass over me as it traveled in a South-Easterly direction at a quite high rate of speed. The object was in my field of vision for at least three seconds but no more than five as it passed overhead in total silence. I had no reference to be able to judge its size or altitude accurately, but if I had to estimate its altitude I would suggest that it would be in the 500-750ft range. If one were to make a 'peace sign' with their left hand and hold these fingers at arm's length, this would approximate its apparent size and shape. The object was black, darker than the night sky as we have a lot of light pollution. The underside of the craft had circular lights on the bottom. Telephoned Report: This is a preliminary written report, submitted on behalf of a husband and wife, who witnessed a peculiar object pass overhead their location. During a telephone call to the Hotline, the husband reported a sighting of an object that reminded him of the objects seen during the dramatic "Phoenix Lights" event, i.e. a seemingly quite large, phalanx-shaped formation of lights. The witness reported that the formation was approximately the apparent size of a full Moon, and that the lights in the formation were approximately the size, and color, of stars in the nighttime sky. NUFORC is awaiting written reports, as well as illustrations, from both witnesses, and will post them once they have arrived at our Center.

Crescent/chevron/boomerang shaped HUGE (200-300ft across) craft flying very low and completely silently over fiesta casino parking lot. Was shining flashlight into air at other odd crafts/lights and it flew over and stopped to check us out. Crescent shaped front and jagged back. Almost camouflaged into sky because it was so matt black. Could only see when directly over head, then slowly flew out of view. There were helicopters and fighter jets everywhere and other unidentifyed crafts/lights moving around in the area that we were shining our flashlight at and that's when this large craft showed up over us because we were investigating the other crafts. May have been small red lights on craft, but very dim.

Aircraft hovered over roadway as we approached, we overtook it at 60 MPH. After we passed it it strafed left and right a few times then headed West. It appears to be drone, however, as I drone pilot, I did not recognize the shape or lights at all. It did not strobe in the way that a normal drone or manned aircraft would. Everyone in the vehicle saw it as well. Light pattern was Whites on the outside, with red and Green in the middle. Like this -> W R G W Aircraft appeared to be about 1 meter in width and flying at an altitude of 100' A drone in that size category is many thousands of dollars (and difficult to fly) which would place it in the professional category, since no events or construction are going on in the area, it would be unusual for an aircraft such as that to be in there area and flying at night and over a road (both of which require extensive permits from the FAA).

I saw a chevron-shaped object in the sky, about the height I might expect to see a small plane. The object had orange hued lights that covered it. I would guess there were perhaps fifteen or so. It moved slowly, perhaps at the rate a small plane might be going. It was crossing the sky going east or perhaps south east and was a mile or so from the Worcester airport. I was with another person who also saw it. It went behind the trees and when we drove farther to get a clear view again, we could no longer see it.

Was sitting out on my back deck just before twilight watching the civilian aircraft circling in the Logan approach pattern and the high altitude military aircraft flying south over Boston. What caught my attention was fast mover that had the afterburners kicked in moving north away from Boston at a very high rate of speed. It is not unusual for military aircraft to be cruising in this area. But it is unusual to see them with the afterburners kicked in with such a dense air traffic area. As I was watching the fast mover a single chevon shaped object momentarily appeared ahead of the interceptor and disappeared. Had no way of gauging the distance between the interceptor and the chevron shaped object. After the object disappeared the interceptor continued north towards New Hampshire at a slower rate of speed.

Today is a clear sky over North East Ohio. We are 10 miles from Lake Erie. At an almost straight up angle, a shiny object remained stationary for 90 minutes. I retrieved my binoculars and we looked at it under 50 x 20 power. The object looked like a chevron shaped object. It only moved a slight bit. We had 8 people in all viewing this thing. It appeared to be almost as high as a 36,000 ft high jet that flew near it. When it left it just disappeared. No pics were taken as it was so high up.

Eight of us are sitting around a campfire watching Peseid Meteor showers on Saturday night, August 12, 2017. UFO appeared from the north traveling south in a straight line. Its shape was best describes as a chevron or a flat line with tails like this [. It covered the entire length of the night sky in about 3 seconds. Four of the eight exclaimed immediately, “Wow, did you see that?” Two of the people who saw it said it zig zagged in the middle of its path and then continued on in a straight line. The other two, myself included, did not notice any deviation from its north to south trajectory. There was no tail like we were seeing from the larger meteors we saw. Its size was also much larger than any of the meteors. There was no sound. The color was white with a slight blue tint. The light we saw also appeared to pulse brighter and darker as it traveled across the sky. My initial thought and reaction was that we were seeing a military spy plane traveling at a high rate of speed, yet after processing it in my brain, the distance and speed it traveled far exceeded anything written about possible USA spy planes i.e. Aurora.

At first, I thought it was a large sea bird in a low fast glide. It was black or dark navy a customary jet plane shape but no larger than width of car lane. Totally silent. No clear cockpit shape dark very sleek disappeared toward sea so fast that by the time I uttered that must be a drone to car companions, they could not see it flying just above grasses. Date is flawed. E-address is flawed. Possible hoax?? PD

I reported this to MUFON these lights passed directly over us as we sat on our deck it was really large and probably covered our whole house i was looking straight up and it came into my view and was going really fast, when i screamed out my daughter looked up and also saw it bright white perfectly round circles of light (about the size of a basketball) in a v formation (i think it was 7 lights but i may have even been 9) my daughter was at a different angle than me and saw it a split second later ( she saw whisps of light off of it) it was going really fast and was gone in a couple of seconds it made no sound it was travelling north to south ( we live on a park and earlier that night there were a bunch of kids playing with really bright flashlights on the park, directing them everywhere and on the large trees and slide)

While outside on the back porch in a town just off Lake Ontario, my mother and her friend saw a low flying dark grey chevron shaped object. It made no noise at all, was about the length of two cars, and flew slowly toward the lake just above the treeline. The UFO had no lights and continued its path with no interruption or change in speed. About a year later, another friend of hers called her and told her she had seen the same exact object moving north toward the lake. There has been a lot of undocumented activity I’ve heard of in this area for years and my mom or her friends wouldn’t think of reporting what she saw so I’ve taken the liberty of sending it in.

On or about 1;10 am while walking my dog I looked up to see what constellations where visible since the sky was cleat with exception of a few small clouds. As I looked to the north west I noted a large lighted object that was staying in the same location from my location in my driveway I could see it in obstructed at approx. 1 o'oclock high at approx. 15000 to 18000 feet At first it appeared to be a chevron, small at top wider at bottom lit at bottom and top with lights running vertical up the body of the object my 34 yr. Old son in law 13 yr.old grandson and myself a retired police officer drawings and time listings from first sight at 1:10 am to last sighting as it sped away at 2:18 am I also tried to take photo with my phone but it wouldn't work till right before it left We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he seemed to us to be quite sincere, and sober-minded. We suspect that he is a very good witness. PD
