Le 26 septembre 2007 à 7h 30 deux personnes sont intriguées par un phénomène lumineux dans le ciel nuageux. En direction du Sud-Est et à 100m de haut environ, une forme ovale émet une lumière très dense. Cette forme stationnaire s'élève lentement à la verticale à partir de 9h 15 et disparaît vers11h. Le 27 septembre 2007 un des témoin observe de nouveau cette forme. Il sera démontré que les témoins ont fait une observation astronomique de Vénus, particulièrement visible en cette période de l'année ( magnitude -4,31). Le 18 septembre 2007 une automobiliste est intriguée par le passage d'un objet dans le ciel. Elle téléphone à son mari qui pourra également voir le déplacement rapide d'une grosse tache blanche ovale dans le ciel. D'après l'enquête de Gendarmerie, aucun objet n'est tombé à terre dans le secteur indiqué. Cette observation est peu étrange : la forme de l'objet, son déplacement selon le vent (Mistral : N à N/O) sont les caractéristiques d'un ballon, très lumineux en fin de journée. On peut penser à un ballon scientifique lâché de l'Observatoire de Haute Provence (vérification non faite). Ce cas est classé "B" : observation probable d'un ballon scientifique.
