Le 02 décembre 2011 entre 21h15 et 21h30 un témoin à sa fenètre observe le passage d'un phénomène lumineux dans le ciel parisien. Un point lumineux se déplace rapidement sur une trajectoire rectiligne. Après 5 à 6 secondes ce point s'enflamme et le témoin voit apparaitre un objet de forme ovoide et de couleur orangé. Aucune trainée ou halo ne sont remarqués. L'objet se met alors à tourner, stationne puis zigzague au bout de trois tours pour repartir à vitesse lente. Il est malheureusement caché par un immeuble. Aucun bruit particulier n'a été entendu. L'observation a duré 20 secondes environ. Un seul témoignage a été recueilli. Cette observation commence comme une banale rentrée atmosphérique de météoroïde (bolide), mais se termine de façon tout à fait insolite en spirale, selon un scenario tout à fait impossible pour un corps céleste. A cette heure-ci, en cette saison, très peu de satellites sont visibles ; la première partie de l'observation pourrait correspondre à observation d'un satellite qui réfléchit directement le lumière du soleil temporairement (flare) mais la fin de l'observation ne correspond pas du tout à cette hypothèse. On peut aussi envisager que ce soit deux phénomènes indépendants, mais là encore, les objets lumineux se déplaçant en spirale sont rarissimes, surtout à cette vitesse. Etant donnée l'unicité du témoin en zone très urbanisée, la consistance de ce cas est insuffisante pour caractériser un phénomène aussi insolite.
