Le 9 octobre 2012 à 23h32 deux personnes observent, dans le ciel noir étoilé, le déplacement rapide d'un point lumineux blanc. Un seul témoignage est rapporté. L'observation d'un point blanc traversant le ciel en quelques secondes d'Est en Ouest évoque un bolide (grosse étoile filante), c'est-à-dire la rentrée dans l'atmosphère d'un météoroïde (météorite). L'absence de traînée n'est pas banale. Cet événement n'a pas été enregistré sur la BOAM (base de données des observateurs de météores). Les éléments fournis ne sont pas suffisants pour pouvoir valider cette hypothèse de bolide, qui reste pourtant vraisemblable (Pic d'activité des météores Delta aurigides le 10 octobre). Le GEIPAN classe ce cas "C" par manque d'information. On note le même jour 20 minutes avant une observation semblable à Limoges. [GEIPAN classification C — Manque d'informations fiables]
