I am unsure as to whether or not I should be writing this, it feels very strange. I am not crazy. I have a small orange salt lamp in my bedroom. About two hours ago, I unplugged it because it was getting slightly hot and I wanted to sleep. A few minutes after I unplugged the lamp, it turned back on, and got extremely bright. I know it seems very stereotypical, but my entire room filled with light. I don't remember much, but I will try to maybe update this later. I remember having my right arm lifted as I lay on my back and dropped onto my chest. That is all I remember. This was not a dream. I woke up in a different room of my house with the lights on. I have experienced time loss in the past, but this was a whole new level. I know this is a sighting website, but I figured that people in Maryland would like to know what may be going on and what may happen to them. I am very scared right now, but I know I am safe. My friend ((male name deleted)) and I were riding down Smokey Park Hwy., at ABOUT 9:55pm. We both witnessed a very defined "U" or sort of "Omega" symbol shaped object in the night sky to the northwest. It was made of VERY sharply defined light and have off no glow, or light-halo. It was just basically a perfectly symmetrical capitol "U" shape of such bright and yet defined light, that even at the fairly long distance, it appeared away from us, we could both immediately confirm with each other that it was indeed a perfectly defined U made of bright light. The sighting didn't last long because we were driving down Smokey Park Hwy, and first saw it in the sky above the "CVS" pharmacy as we headed in the direction of Patton Ave. The "U" shaped object appeared to be standing still for the most part, but we both agree with it seemed like it was vvveeeerrry slowly sinking lower in the sky... We soon lost visuals on it. Has anyone else ! ever seen a perfectly "U" shaped light in the sky (aka UFO) ? Both my friend and I have witnessed the lights and other more common types of UFO's many times... However, we both saw this tonight, it was there, it wasn't some sort of satellite, aircraft, nor any balloon or flare. Did anyone else see this object tonight? Or this very defined "U" shaped light seeming to just hang suspended un the sky in this area tonight? I have seen multiple different UFO's in my lifetime… However, almost all of those were the orbs of light... the "Moving Stars".. so to speak.. However, I have never seen anything remotely like this U shaped object. What a interesting thing to have seen... keep your eyes on the night skies, people!!!

Suddenly, it shot straight up, hovered, then descended back to where I had first seen it. I got up from my chair and rushed to the railing as it zipped across the sky to the east, where it then flew around in a tight circle maybe seven or eight times. It then shot clear across the sky towards the west...far enough I had to change positions on my deck to continue watching it. Quickly, but not as fast as it had just moved, it then flew back to the east and north. At this point, it was so distant and with the bright Moon, I could barely detect it. I sat back down hoping it might reappear. A minute or so went by, when it reappeared back in the area where it flew in circles before. It was doing this again, when it suddenly flew back towards the west and stopped roughly where I had first seen it. Just as quickly, it made what appeared to be a tight angular change (this is when I saw another red light and a blue light). At this point, it flew back to the east and out of my line of sight. As I sat hoping it would reappear again, I noticed a plane in the southwest. The speed seemed so much slower and I realized another thing. The plane made noise. This object seemed to be silent.

Mid afternoon, sunny day. Smallish craft, maybe the size of a mid-to full sized RV? Bright reflective silvery shimmering surface, wedge shaped. About 200 feet from shore, maybe only 500-1000 feet above the Columbia River. It suddenly arrived, hovered briefly, then flew off extremely quickly. Looked as if there was another one high up in the sky, hovering for a while above. I have operated small drones. This did not look like, nor move like any drone I have ever seen. No apparent sound, silent running.

Saw a Y shaped light in the Western sky about 35 degrees up. It was gold in color and was stationery. It was 1/8 the size of the moon. It was above the clouds because it was hidden by clouds occasionally. Called a neighbor a mile away and they saw it too. I was not drinking or smoking anything. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he sounded to us to be quite sober-minded. We suspect that he is a skilled witness, and reliable. PD

While my father was driving me to fencing practice at my high school, we were at exit 34 on I-80 east when I looked out the window of the car at the totally overcast sky. Suddenly I noticed a very bright, cool LED-esque light. At first, I dismissed it as just being a landing light on an airplane, though I quickly ruled this out. The object was silently hovering, unlike a plane or helicopter, and the sun was clearly visible in the east, while this object was right above the car, maybe a couple hundred or a thousand feet above the ground. There are no towers or buildings near the sight, and the object was continuously illuminated, indicating that this was a lightbulb, not something burning or reflecting the sun. Just as I was thinking of what it could be, a square-shaped gap opened in the clouds, showing that the object was much weirder than I had at first thought. The original light was still there, surrounded by what looked like a moving cage of thin bl! ack bars, with no means of generating lift or propulsion. As soon as I saw this object, it disappeared completely and the clouds completely closed up. P.S.--I self taught myself to recognize almost all civilian or military aircraft, including some I have never seen before, using a manual, and I still have no idea what I saw that day. As the incident unfolded, I told my dad, an amateur astronomer, what was happening and he was also dumbfounded. (He couldn’t look because he was driving.) In addition, although this may be coincidental, during my lunch break at noon I heard a very low and fast flying helicopter fly from west to east over my school in Denville. I quickly ran to the window to see it, but couldn’t as it flew right over the building. This is a completely factual report, and I am still curious about what I saw, but I wish to post anonymously. Saw orange light keep flying North to South thru my window. Went outside to observe what it was, there was no sound coming from it, it stopped moving and I took a picture of it and then it vanished. When you enlarge the photo it shows a round disc with a cylinder attached to a smaller disc. The whole thing glows orange.

Star-looking dots, no flashing. When we saw them, firstly, they were randomly located in the daytime sky (We guessed they were just over Belarus, located an the east side of the sky), bright and clear visible, slowly moving south. One of them stopped. After 5 minutes the dots lined up, grouped together and continued moving, they started dimming, after 20 minutes we could barely see them, and it was hard to distinguish them from the sight noise (entoptic phenomenon), but it was still possible to catch them so weakly seen.

I was looking up to the east and saw an aircraft flying from the south, going northeast at about 3500-4000 feet. This craft was not completely circular, and was not quite oval. It reminded me of the shape of a crown. I could see the bottom and sides of it. It was moving slightly faster than the planes that come from the north towards Williams airport. It had only once color of lights. It had two horizontal rows of bright green lights around it, and around the craft, there were some vertical bright green lights in sections. The top and bottoms of the vertical lights seemed to extend from the craft. As it moved, I saw a sudden flash of the lights getting brighter, then back to the original green. It continued moving, and when in mid sky, in reference to my vantage point, the lights flashed brighter a second time. After they flashed, I saw only sky and stars in its place. There was no sign of the aircraft. Also, there was a rough, low sound during the time I sa! w the air craft, but myself and the other person who wasn’t looking at the craft thought it was a car or some machine in the neighborhood, although an odd sound. When the aircraft disappeared, the sound stopped. I've seen strange lights over years, rarely, but this was an actual aircraft unlike any that I've ever seen. When the lights flashed on and then it was gone, it took me a moment to realize it was gone and not falling from the sky, which is what I would have expected.

My friend and I were doing some night fishing with his 7-year-old stepson at Bean’s Eddy in Mosinee Wi and had been doing fairly well with catching fish until this… thing showed up. Bean’s Eddy is a heavily wooded area on the Wisconsin River so animal activity is very prevalent but once this thing showed up everything went eerily silent, no bugs, no small animals, and fish activity went completely south, even the coyotes went quiet for hours. It was a clear night, not a cloud in the sky, we could clearly see the planes coming in to land at the nearby Central WI airport, and in fact there were planes in the sky when this thing showed up (though none near it), so we could tell the differences and see size references. I have seen other things but nothing close enough to say, “Hey, that’s not a plane!” This was different…. First off no noise, there was no sound whatsoever, and considering how close it was and that we could hear the jetliners coming into the airport we should have, if there was any noise made. Second, I could see the shape of this thing, it looked almost organic, eight lighted panels grading in color from dark orange to a bright yellowish white and a body that was silvery black, kind of like a black chrome.. Last and most disturbing was that it just showed up, it didn’t glide in, it was just there, hovering in place for several minutes, then, when it started moving it moved from above us to the horizon line in less than thirty seconds. I drew a picture of it just to get it out of my head…. it looks like nothing I have ever seen.

Within half an hour there was 8 commercial planes that flew around it which is unusual for that many in this area. At this time is moving south but losing visibility due to larger trees and its quickness.

At approximately 2207 westwardly in the sky at about 2 o'clock from the moon appeared 4 very bright orange lights in a sort of parallelogram shape. They were differently in the lower atmosphere. They moved across the sky at 3 o'clock from the moon. They did not keep the parallelogram shape but instead 3 lined up like a back lash (\) with the fourth one behind them (.\) One by one they slowly faded out and disappeared in the night sky. The whole thing only last about 2 minutes. Posted sighting on social media to see if others saw it. Was told they were Chinese memorial lanterns, but I have doubts. I have a BA in Humanities.

My family and I were taking a vacation to Bay Head and were on the beach most of the morning. At approx. 1:30 PM we notice something reflecting and flickering up in the sky over the Atlantic (At least a few miles off). We watched it for almost a 1/2 hour, I took a picture of it with my cell phone, poor quality, but it moved slowly, then stopped and hovered, as if it was observing the beach or something in the ocean beneath it. It was silver/white, no sound. I wondered at first if it wasn't a satellite, space station or debris, but it didn't move. (I've watched the space station go overhead at night and it moves pretty fast, this was stationary) The moon was also visible that afternoon and it was to my left of the moon. I thought maybe a star or a planet, but then at that hour of that it would have to be something pretty damn big/bright. It was too high and flicking too fast to be Mylar Balloons. What struck me most was that I had watched a TV show about the origin of Crop Circles in England the day before. (How they think a majority of them are hoaxed with boards and ropes, but how some of them seem have damage to the "nodes" in the crops themselves, which shows excessive heat/radiation exposure etc.) Anyway, there was a video man and his girlfriend took, while sitting on a hill of the valley below, a crop circle, and a farmer working his field (Approx. 1 mile below). A light flickered through the video, to the crop circle, made a 90 Deg. turn and went over the farmer, who didn't notice it, then the light disappeared. The flickering light we all witnessed on the beach that day, looked A LOT like that silver flickering light the man in England had video taped. Coincidence, I honestly don't know but, I quietly made the connection in my mind the minute I saw it. Shortly after we saw it, we left the beach to head home for the rest of the day. There was a pod of dolphin (They call it the 2 PM Dolphin Show, in Bay Head) and we stopped to watch. I looked up in the direction of the light again, and it was gone. We went to Point Pleasant the second day and I didn't see it. If you zoom in on the photo, the shape is distorted, so it's hard to tell what it is really. I wish I'd taken video of it...sorry.

I was driving and I looked up at the mountains and I saw a figure that looked like a giant horse shoe in the sky it was brown and my sister saw it too but not my parents. it flew across the mountains disappeared and popped back up later when we got to woodland park it was like it was following us. At first I thought it was an airplane but it made no sound and what type of airplane is horseshoe shaped.

I was out on my deck at night, and I saw a light cruising by the bay. It waited there for about 10-20 seconds, flashing red and green. It then suddenly shot up into the sky, and as it passed through the clouds, it left a gaping hole in the cloud cover. Approximately 10-12 hours later, as I was at the beach near where the craft was spotted, there was a strange smell in the air and the trees were bent slightly back.

Strange "H" shaped craft seen over M4 freeway in NSW. Impossibly travelling vertically, both up and down and seen over Penrith from as far away as Toongabbie, which is a distance of 30km. Object seen middle of day entering white clouds and within 30 minutes. Clouds were dark, and appeared to take the shape of a spinning top. In the area below the cloud formation, despite the dark clouds, there seemed to be a lack of humidity or moisture in the air, in what is usually a very humid area. This side-effect was experienced by surrounding suburbs. I'm not convinced aliens are responsible, possible testing of weather-altering device of some kind. Jury is out.

At 10:03 PM on Thursday July 7th, 2016, our dog started to bark and growl at the window with what we thought was a bird. Curious, we went outside so as to see what started as three glowing orange dots in the sky and grew into one larger formation. They lingered around the sky moving slightly up and down before breaking into two, then splitting and fading away. During the sighting we grabbed a recorder and got a shot of it but the batteries died afterward, which was strange as how it was at half battery, and the image looked warped. We, my grandmother and I, looked at it through binoculars. There appeared to be a blinking in the bottom of the crescent shape with a lingering, short trail that looked to be a smoldering orange.

At approx. 9:30 pm tonight myself and my mother in law observed a collection of faintly lit star-like objects that drifted slowly across the sky from west to east. The cluster of some 100-200 star-like objects seemed to be at similar altitudes and produced similar amounts of light, about equal to that of the average star. We observed the UFOs for about 3 or 4 minutes, until they disappeared behind the clouds.
