On April 15, 2015 11:45 P.M. I was working on building a new front porch on my home. It was nearly midnight. I had to work late on my project because I had been exceptionally busy at work. I was cleaning up my tools and debris and carrying them west towards my garage. As I walked I glanced south and saw what I thought was the planet Jupiter. I spend a time behind the telescope looking at Jupiter, Saturn, etc… and only because of that fact did I realize that something was out of place. During that time of night and time of year, Jupiter has already passed the tree tops on the western edge of our property. Realizing that something seemed out of place, I looked more closely at that the object that I had mistaken for a planet. The size in the sky looked correct, also the brightness was comparable to Jupiter. At first the object seemed to be just hanging in place, I then wondered if I had mistaken it for another planet but then it started to move. It kept a relative track of west to south east. Suddenly, it made a very substantial, very abrupt turn due south, then another, equally sharp correction back to the east, then it began a sweeping arc back to the south. The movement seemed far too sharp for any aircraft that I have ever seen. I ran in the house and grabbed my 8x binoculars that were sitting next to the door and returned to my front yard. By the time I returned (roughly 15-20 seconds) the object had really picked up speed. It was moving far faster than an aircraft. I yelled for my wife but she didn’t hear me (as she was in the back of the house). I got the binoculars on it and could make out very little detail but this is what I saw. It appeared to be triangular in shape, it had one single, exceptionally bright white light that appeared to be centered in the object (it was so bright when viewed through the binoculars it did give the object a bit of an aura), and I couldn’t give a definitive size as I had nothing to compare it to, it had no landing lights, beacons, etc… just the one light and it made absolutely no sound. The night was quiet, except for the frogs (which had gone quiet during the event, not necessarily because of the event, as they do that from time to time at night). As the object began to move out of sight the white light seemed to take on an orange glow, like the moon seen through air pollution, then it just blipped out. The whole event couldn’t have lasted more than 2-3 minutes. The angle of my view must have dropped 15-25 degrees in elevation and 30 degrees from right to left as I tracked the object. The night was completely clear, the temperature was 45-50 degrees. It seemed very fast but, in fairness, not being able to judge the size or elevation of the object, I couldn’t say definitively, how fast it was actually traveling. It seemed to move about as fast as a satellite, when you watch them pass over. The object would’ve had to cross over or very near the flight path of Joint Base Lewis/McCord. We lived in the base’s airspace for nearly 4 years now. I have seen just about every type of aircraft come off that base, from Osprey, Chinook and Blackhawks to F-18’s, C-130’s etc… I have never seen anything come off that base that resembled, in any way, what I saw that night. The closest comparison that I could come up with was watching a satellite with the exception of possible size and flight characteristics. I did not report this to the authorities because I didn’t want people to think I was crazy. I know it sounds cliché but it’s the truth. I have seen some strange things in my life but I’m sure they’ve all had logical explanations and this may very well have a simple, logical explanation but I couldn’t come up with one. I found your site while searching the internet to see if anyone else might have reported something of this nature. I did tell my wife, knowing that I am a very honest and pretty logical person, she believed that I did, indeed, see something but she still had to chuckle when I came in and told her about it. Chehalis (near; on I-5 south), WA
Driving home last night on I-5 south out around Chehalis around 2:30 AM. A beautiful brilliant blue streak raced across the sky. Definitely don't think it was aliens or anything like that. But it was an absolutely beautiful flash of blue unlike anything I've ever seen before. The sighting lasted a matter of seconds like a shooting star before being gone. One of the neatest things I've ever seen in the sky.

I had gone outside later in the evening to view Betelgeuse, which was nearing the horizon and whose scintillations are quite lovely, as it glints in all colors. Above Betelgeuse were Castor and Pollux, and in the space between them I noticed an red-colored light, star-like in appearance but not twinkling. Soon it was joined by an identical second light source and then a third, the three of therm forming an inverted isosceles triangle that persisted for several minutes. I wondered if it were a reflection of headlights or other artificial light source, but there was nothing in the sky that would present a suitable reflecting surface. The objects appeared to be getting nearer and brighter and then assumed a globular shape as opposed to pinpoints as observed earlier. Their color also changed from red to amber. No sound was apparent. I went inside to grab a star map, but the objects had vanished during my absence.

Tonight, April 7, 2015, at approximately 9:00 pm (PST), I was walking west down the street, when I happened to look up. I saw a black isosceles-shaped object approximately 15 feet wide with 3 whitish/yellowish lights at the points. The object was completely smooth, made no noise and seemed to not reflect light. The object was approximately 20 feet in the air, slowly moving parallel to the ground towards the east. Although I never took my eyes off of the object, it suddenly disappeared after close to 5 seconds of observation. There were no nearby trees or buildings behind which the object could go. It just vanished.

I had gone out to watch Betelgeuse whose scintillations are lovely at this time of year when it is close to the horizon. My attention was drawn to a point of light, red in color and steady in brightness. It appeared in the area between Betelgeuse and Castor and Pollux. After a few moments, it was joined, one after another, by two identical points, the three forming a perfect triangle, two of which were separated by about the same distance as Castor and Pollux are from each other. The base of the triangle was on the top with the third light underneath, closer to the horizon. As I watched, the three became larger, but their configuration did not vary, still a triangle but a little more orange in color and much brighter, resembling an amber-colored street lamp, i.e., a sodium vapor light. I dismissed the sighting initially, thinking they must have been artificial in nature; however, their appearance was arresting, as they seemed to be moving toward me, growing! ever brighter in intensity. I was transfixed, having some considerable familiarity with nature sky object, yet these were out of place, and I had no explanation for them. I went out the following morning and confirmed that the area in which I saw the objects was open sky.

My girlfriend and I were on I-90 headed west when we both saw a low flashing light about 30-50 feet from the ground traveling at a high rate of speed flashing every second. The object was traveling parallel to the freeway heading east. It was about 100-150 feet away from us as it passed by. I couldn't see a shape or any sign of a ship. Just the flashing light and as it got close it was very dark behind the light. When the flashing light passed us, I looked and to see how far it was going, I was that it keep flashing at the same speed still heading east. The speed that it was traveling was more then 150 mph. I really want to know what I saw tonight.

I am a business man, and I was driving South on US HWY 195 from Spokane to Pullman, WA., to spend the night and attend a meeting. I was just South of Colfax, WA, when I saw an aircraft with white lights head South toward Dayton, WA, area. It appeared to be traveling at quite a fast speed, I would estimate 300 to 400 MPH. Then it abruptly rose and headed due north parallel to HWY 195. It was traveling quite fast then slowed and seemed to hover somewhat about 1/2 mile off Hwy. I was very curious but some what scared to stop car and get a closer look. I went fwd up HWY about 2 miles then U-turned to come back and get a better look. I saw light off in distance but it was heading North towards Spokane and now a good 10 Mi or so North. Therefore, I stopped pursuing it. The craft was Triangle in shape and appeared to have a 90 degree angle on the sides. It looked like a triangle box. It looked black and had 3 white lights on the side with one red light. It was about the size of a couple 35 to 40 Ft Motor Home on one side of the triangle. It appeared to make no significant sound.

At 12:25 p.m in Tacoma WA.i was sitting outside looking into the beautiful sky and I noticed a black disk coming out of the clouds very slowly (very distinct ) as my mind was processing what I'm seeing this disk makes like a z shape and then shoots up towards the sky this disk was very low 5-7 thousand feet. when I went to get my phone to the video section it had flown off.this was so surreal. i have not stopped thinking of this all day.

While sitting in the living room with my children, the whole house started vibrating at a low frequency, with a low oscillating effect. I walked to the window to see, but the sky was cloudy and I could see nothing. I placed my hands on the window as it was visibly vibrating. I opened the window and the sound grew much louder, it felt right on top of the house. We walked outside in the backyard and looked, but could see nothing except twilight sky and cloud. The sound very slowly moved away in a northern direction. I checked the flight plans of the closest airport, Portland International, and only one flight was scheduled from Seattle to Portland, nowhere near the vicinity.

It was approximately 8:15 pm, and I was in my kitchen facing north talking to my sister on the phone. In my peripheral vision there appeared to be the big dippers and the "stars" were unusually bright. After a few more moments of conversation, I remembered that the big dipper is seen from the east at this time of year and never so low, so bright in the sky and never from the north. I looked out the kitchen window and saw an inverted V shaped formation of bright orange lights. There were three lights on the left side of the formation and two on the right side. They didn't blink, just a steady light. I ran outside to investigate and the formation turned from a side v formation to the inverted V. A bright orange lights moved very fast and secured itself to the right side of the v-formation so now there were three orange lights on both sides. Another inverted V-shaped craft moved in front of the first and they moved in sync very slowly and methodically through the night sky towards the sound. At first glance I thought the orange lights were individual crafts moving in a carefully orchestrated procession through the sky. After running outside for a better look, I concluded that it was two massive crafts, solid black in color and the inverted V orange lights were part of the crafts. I was alarmed and scared as this was close, just above the tree line and electrical power lines. I got the eerie feeling we were being invaded by paratroopers from another country until I saw the crafts. I did some online research and reported this sighting.

There are lights hovering over Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, WA. Roughly 800 ft in the air. I was thinking to myself when I looked out my window and noticed a large amount of fog. But it was all focused on one major area, I focused as well as I could on that area, and noticed a slowly rising cluster of lights (as if it all belonged to one vessel), flashing around. I then noticed multiple flashes of light around the singular cluster, as if it were firing upon something. I then started to notice EXTREMELY large shadows in the dense fog around my house, and I am right now, hiding in my house, hearing large noises of unknown origin outside my window.

Earth Day welcomed an unexplainable visitor. The star-speckled backdrop of the night sky was overshadowed by the presence of an unexpected craft. A triangular shaped vessel greater in length than any aircraft carrier this submariner ever saw, passed stealthily over the tree canopy not more than 500’ to 700’. With the exception of bow and stern light, there wasn’t a peep coming from this vessel, not even an engine roar. Even the owls, coyotes, blue heron and frogs took note of its presence as all went silent. The city lights were just enough to unveil the outline of the craft but not enough to identify any markings indicating origin. As it passed overhead heading east towards Everett from Whidbey Island, I raced to an open meadow to witness this magnificent event with greater clarity. I know what I saw. I just don’t know who sent it. The next day I waited patiently for the subject to air on the radio and nothing would be said. Even the naval air station that is just nine miles away as the crow flies from the event made no mention of it. A couple of days would pass before the subject would appear on a local radio show a friend and I were listening to. It appears that this is not the first time such a sighting had appeared in this region or around the country for that matter. Not surprising though that this sighting didn’t make the radar of the federally controlled national media.

I always look outside before I go to bed, and at 10 pm, I looked out and saw a large star like shape, dominantly red with white lights across Puget Sound looking toward Gig Harbor, (we are on the ridge looking over at Gig Harbor with Puget Sound between it). The UFO did not move, but the lights glowed, as I watched for 10 minutes, and then went to bed. I was a bit frightened as I had not seen anything like this before and did not go outside. I thought it was a clear night, thought I did not see any stars, only the object in the sky. I am quite sure it was not a star. It was quite large. I am continuing to look outside each night in hope of seeing this object again.

It is hard to describe, it seemed to look distorted because of the lights. It was, for the most part, stationary but seemed to move to the left and right or, maybe, if you can imagine like a bobber in the water when you fish. It of course had many lights, my camera would not focus on it and the binoculars seemed to make it look stranger. It did look like an egg almost at first, with stringy looking stuff being the lights, I assume. It looked 3D and like it had craters or something but perfectly round and different sizes. When I tried to make it focus better, it seemed like maybe it is in my head or something but when I was not zoomed in all the way, it looked more like a bright saucer. I would think this was a planet but no way was it up in the sky that high. It seemed very close, and I do wonder how something could be in our atmosphere and go unnoticed? I cannot describe what I saw, because, even though I saw it, I cannot figure out what it was. It feels like a head game at this point, maybe even a science project, but something that size I doubt someone could pull it off. I think it must be a planet, but I will have a hard time convincing myself of that. It is by far the strangest siting I have personally encountered ever!! I was coming home from getting pizza from dominos. I was just about ten feet from entering my house, when I noticed how clear the sky and how bright the stars were. I looked up briefly to look at the stars, and then I saw plain as day a craft of some sort flying in a straight line with 1 white light in the front 2 white lights in the back, forming a triangle and a red light in the middle. I was literally looking almost straight underneath this craft. The strange thing was for how low it was it was extremely quiet. Not silent, but extremely quiet. I ran the 10 feet to my sliding glass door and told my girlfriend to come outside right now. I turned back around walked 3 to 5 steps as she approached and pointed up to the object and said, "Look at that do you see that?" She said, "OH WOW. What is that?" I am extremely skeptical of say spacecraft. But the words that came out of my mouth were, that cannot be a plane, can it? She responded no way what is that. We have a very small airport nearby. The airport is so small that a lot of the people that have lived in this town for some time know what time flights leave. I am not saying all flights, some. The reason I point this out is that I am accustom to seeing plans that have recently taken off or are about to land at this airport. This did not resemble any of those. The light in the front was solid the 2 lights in the back were solid and the red light in the center was also solid they never blinked or turned off for the duration that I saw this craft.

As I was locking the back door to my work I noticed a bright white light with a pulsing red light just below it in the sky to the west. I pulled out my phone to record the lights because I knew they looked strange. As it floated right over top of me I realize it's a triangle. White light in front and 3 white lights behind in triangular formation with a red pulsing light in center. I could see it clear as day. West to east and no sound that I could tell. I got about 2 minutes video.

Formation of 3 bright orbs seen from SE Portland. My wife, son and I observed what looked like bright aircraft lights over east Portland, in the vicinity of Rocky Butte. As we watched it, we saw that it was actually three lights, moving in various formations: triangular, horizontal, and almost vertical. They was moving very slowly in the beginning. Two of the lights departed to the east and were lost from view, while one appeared stationary to the west of Rocky Butte for several minutes before flying east as the others had done. My son recorded the lights on his cell phone camera for several minutes. what we saw is very similar to a Portland sighting reported February 15, 2015.

We were on are way back from Towell Falls in Washington. We just passed a large steel grain silo, when our car was surrounded by large ultra bright blue lights. They would flash and disappear. They didn't have a rhythm or pattern. The length of their glow was irregular and changed with each flash. Everyone in the vehicle saw them. They were within feet of our car. We were all confused and decided it was too weird to want to turn around and investigate. I remember passing the silo earlier on our way to the falls. There were no lights or light fixtures.

At approx. 6:45pm PST on 03-06-15, I was on the front porch having a smoke with my mother. I looked to the WSW and saw the planet Venus. Then I looked to the north and saw a stationary white light at approx. 25° azimuth. I continued to watch the light, and noted that it was briefly eclipsed by a power line across the street. At this point, I knew it wasn't a star or a planet because it was moving in the wrong direction. As I continued to watch the light, it flew slowly SW. I figured that it was just a high-altitude aircraft. I looked over at Venus again, looked at it for ~5 seconds, then turned my head north again -- and much to my astonishment, the light had moved much, much more quickly (est. 85° azimuth now) than my 5-second glance at Venus would have allowed had the light been a terrestrial aircraft. So I pointed it out to my mother, and she had observed the light making a zig-zag motion across a fair percentage of the sky visible to us. Both of us continued to watch the light as it flew overhead and disappeared behind the limb of our roof. The light was white (not yellowish or bluish) and had no colored strobes that would be indicative of a terrestrial aircraft, and exhibited no engine noise whatsoever. I strongly believe that this object was not from our neighbourhood if you will.

I don’t know if what I saw is explainable or not, and I cannot find any news about it, but it was a strange phenomenon to me and I know I wasn’t the only one to see it. I was watching American Idol and during a commercial, I looked out my front window to see someone who had pulled their car over to the side of the road in front of my house. There isn’t any parking on that side of the street, but the car was left running and this person got out and pointed a camera to the sky and seemed to be taking pictures. I knew the full moon had come up in the direction he was pointing the camera, but I had been out looking at the moon several times earlier and I didn’t see anything really cool about it or unusual that would cause someone to pull over to the side of the road to take a picture of it. The more I watched this person, the more curious I became. What on earth was he taking pictures of? I put on my coat, walked out into the back yard where I knew I could see the moon, and got the surprise of my life. I don’t even know how to explain what I saw. It looked like three bright stars dancing around the moon. They had an orange-ish color to them. They almost looked like planets, like Mars perhaps. But these things seemed to be moving. I have to admit my first thought was that we were being attacked. I didn’t know if they were bombs coming in from overseas or what the heck they were. A million thoughts were passing through my brain at that point. Then I thought they had to be planets that just happened to get aligned up there near the moon, but they couldn’t have moved into that position that fast since I had just seen the moon less than an hour before that. Then it became obvious these lights or stars or whatever they were, were moving. In my back yard I had a limited view, but I knew from my front yard I would have a more expansive view of the sky, so I went around to the front of the house, but by then these lights had moved further away from me and the full moon. It was just a few seconds after I got to the front yard that they moved out of sight. It almost looked like they disappeared into clouds. Even though we have clear skies, it could be clouds had formed where the lights were headed. Clouds or not, that’s how it appeared to me when they disappeared. Almost like the moon peering in and out of the clouds when the clouds pass over it. Another reason for going to the front yard was to see if the person who was taking pictures knew what the lights were, but when the lights disappeared seconds after I reached the front yard, the person who had been taking pictures had gotten back into the car and had driven away, so I never got to speak to them. I’ve searched for news on this and I see that other orange lights have been spotted in the skies, but unlike what I’ve been reading, these lights were not low flying objects. Again, they looked like stars in the sky or planets, but really, really bright and moving. There were three of them when I saw them, but perhaps other lights had been there and had disappeared by the time I got curious enough to go outside. I didn’t see any objects, just light. They were moving together, but appeared to be separate as the distance between the lights varied as they moved. These lights were right beside a full moon so there was plenty of light in the sky to see an object, but I saw no objects, just bright stars or planets that moved in a strange fashion and then disappeared. Maybe there is a simple explanation, and if so, I apologize for bothering you. But I have lived on this earth a long time, and I’ve spent a lot of time outdoors looking at the sky, and I have never seen anything like this. I’ve even lived under a flight path for a major airport and I have watched planes flying at night as they come in to land or take off, but at the same time I could also see planes higher in the sky that would be passing over this airport, obviously not taking off or landing there, but just passing over as they journey to whatever other airport they are going to. The point is, I’ve seen planes in the skies at night, both low flying and high flying, and these lights were not like any I’ve ever seen on aircraft I’m familiar with.

I was walking my dog this evening when I noticed a red light in the sky overhead. It didn’t appear to be moving. I found that odd, so we stopped to observe. After a few seconds it moved to the east. Ok, I thought, probably a helicopter. I continued to watch because I don’t remember seeing a static red light in the sky before. The craft then made a 90 degree maneuver very quickly and then continued to move east. At this point I noticed a blue white strobe at the front of the craft. As I watched this craft move east it would stop entirely, change directions, and then continue to head east toward Lake Washington. It appeared to be zig-zagging, doing course corrections with very fast and tight moves. I thought perhaps it was a drone, or maybe still a helicopter, but I have never seen anything maneuver like that, stop cold and then continue to move again. I think the craft was about 1500 feet in the air, and it was moving about the speed of a helicopter, though it would accelerate and then slow down again. All I saw were the lights, no fuselage. The moon was full and very bright, but this was very easy to see.

I work on the 19th floor in Seattle. I was sitting at my desk, I looked out the window and saw a glowing orb above Lake Union to the west, just hovering. After about 10 minutes of watching it completely still, it slowly started gaining altitude and moving to the east, bery slowly. Occasionally, I would lose sight of it, due to cloud coverage, but soon after the clouds passed, I would see it again, still moving very slowly and still gaining altitude. I would see it often turn from white to red. Not in a blinking fashion but in a very smooth transition from white to red. This total sighting lasted about 40 minutes. Then I lost sight of it. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and she seemed to us to be a very responsible, sober-minded person. We suspect that she is a very reliable witness. PD
