While trying to watch local fireworks from our hilltop property, we noticed two objects flying from northeast to southwest. One object disappeared, shortly after the other object disappeared. This happened several more times, with the objects disappearing in approximately the same place. They appeared to fly into a small, light cloud, but never reappeared. It was a pretty clear night and we could see the moon and stars clearly. One of objects seemed to burst, with a bright flash of light and sparks above the clouds. They were not evenly spaced, but we're taking the same flight path. They were most definitely not fireworks or planes. They were reddish orange in color.

Dublin, OH
I was with a group of family friends attending the Dublin, Ohio July 4th fireworks display. We were seated on the grassy area outside Dublin Coffman High School stadium. The fireworks began about 10PM. I was in a lawn chair beside a mother and her adult daughter who was sitting on a blanket in front of us. The night was cool, clear, with just enough breeze to move the smoke from the fireworks away. The moon was out and between 1/4 to 1/2 full. Midway through the fireworks, I heard the mother beside me saying "What IS that?" She directed my attention behind me. I had to turn around in my seat, so the object was almost due West, beneath the moon but well above roof and treetop level. The dimension from our vantage point would be roughly in the aspirin-size range, maybe a little larger. It was a length-wise oval (wider than it was high), apparently solid object. It was absolutely stationary--no perceptible movement at all. There were no blinking lights or color changing occurring. The entire object was glowing an orange shade that to me, was pumpkin-colored. There was, however, smoke residue of the fireworks in the air, so that may have affected correct perception of the exact shade. There may have been a slight haze around the object, but again that is questionable because it could have been smoke. The level of the object, however, was high enough above most smoke that it was not substantially ob! scured--we could see it distinctly. It was not a fireball, as there were solid edges to it. Also, I have seen one fireball--they move. Fast. Of the group there, I only definitely know the mother and her daughter and myself saw the object. Others were preoccupied with the fireworks. And somehow, I was remarkably nonchalant about seeing it, and did not process it as a big event. The object remained there over a period of a couple minutes, at least, while we calmly dissected what it could and could not be, and how it had no characteristics in common with planes or helicopters in flight, etc. We were alternately looking at it and turning away to speak to each other (and, on my part, to even glance at the fireworks I was "missing"). During one of these times when we were turned away, it vanished. We looked back and there was no sign of it. Of the possible explanations, it was absolutely not a plane or helicopter. I KNOW what they look like in various orientations and stages of flight (have lived near airports and heliports and seen countless numbers). We occasionally have blimps (Goodyear, whoever) and hot air balloons in town. This did not look like any I've seen. Further, if one has ever watched a blimp or hot air balloon fly away: paint dries faster. They do not disappear in a matter of moments. Mylar balloons are metallic-looking and reflective--this object glowed, seemingly from within, more like a light bulb. Also, any balloon or Chinese lantern--which I've seen suggested on someone's video of a similar object--would surely have been buffeted about by the breeze and unable to remain absolutely motionless for minutes. The observers were a 31-year-old mother who works in child care, her mother who works with children and adults in performance arts, and myself, 68, retired with background as a medical and legal secretary, and work in graphic design. I will add that I have also had a lifelong passion for photography, had my camera in a tote at my feet, and am dumbfounded in seeking to explain why it never entered my mind to take a picture or video. I didn't even process the object as what it was, until it was gone and the mother said "We've seen a UFO!" I think it was just a little too real, and too curiously out-of-place in such a mundane setting, for me to process its significance.

At apx. 10:15 pm on July 4, my wife and I were sitting out back of the house watching fireworks from around the neighborhood. My wife, who is far more observant than me, was also watching behind us and pointed out the object to me, and asked me what it was. Initially, I thought it was an aircraft in distress as it appeared to be on fire. However, after watching it for a time, I dismissed that notion, for several reasons: 1) it maintained its’ altitude; 2) it had no aircraft lighting; 3) it made no sound. The object was flying roughly northeast to southwest. It was, at its nearest position, apx. ½ away and had only 1000-2000 ft. of altitude. It was orange-red with roughly a circular to elliptical shape. The flames gave it almost a teardrop, or hershey’s kiss, shape at times, as they rose above and mostly centered about the object. The underside of the object appeared to be flatter and only glowing, while the flame appearance was around and about the sides or! middle of the object. Even though the object was moving at a constant speed the flames did not trail the object. I’ve observed many night sky objects including Sputnik I or II, numerous satellites, manned NASA spacecraft, comets and meteors, but I’ve never observed anything like this. I am a retired designer from a local manufacturer of turbine engines.

Watching fireworks, which had just begun. In the Eastern sky, about halfway in between horizon and zenith, an unusual red light showing small diameter. Light was unblinking, steady, very dark, rich, ruby red, different from any aircraft light I've ever seen. Had irregularly flashing green light which seemed towards the backside of the object, at about the 10 or 11 o'clock position. Mostly stationary and noiseless, although the fireworks were loud, yet nothing heard during short lulls. It seemed to drift slowly towards the South and towards the horizon, although total distance was only a few degrees. Motion only noticed over time, it was too slow to actually see it moving. On a clock face, motion was in the 4 o'clock direction. Faded slightly during sighting. I kept watching it, then the fireworks, sad I didn't have binoculars. Fireworks finale began and I watched that. When that was over, I looked again and the object was completely gone.

While watching my neighbors fireworks display, from my fence line, i noticed a burning ball of orange light coming from the north east. i alerted my neighbors and their guests and they also saw the object, however, they were too busy either enjoying the fireworks, or putting on the display. i ,however, followed the object through the sky, as it made itself southwestward and faded out in the night sky. after seeing this, i went and told my brother, who was watching t.v. and then walked back outside. right after returning back outside, i saw another one, so i ran in to get my brother, who then came out to see what i was talking about. after he came outside we witnessed another 5 to 6 of these objects. some appeared to turn themselves on and off as they were moving and some were moving faster than the others and at different altitudes. the one, that at appeared to be lowest in the sky appeared to turn whatever was illuminating the object completely off, as it w! ent pretty much directly over us. as it was moving, my neighbors fireworks were going off in the sky under it illuminating the sky enough to see the underside of the object. me and my brother both witnessed what appeared to be the underside of a smooth looking dark grey disk shaped, or flying saucer shaped object. i do not know if anyone might have gotten any pics or vids of the objects. i have already posted on Facebook to see if anyone in my area may have also seen these things.

They traveled for around 5 minutes and were approximately 1/2 mile apart from each other. They both disappeared (vanished) one after the other. I live pretty close to a major airport, and this was no airplane or Chinese lantern. And this is not the first time I've seen these out here. Last summer, July 14th, to be exact, I saw the same thing, but there was only one of them.

Before the fireworks, we noticed a reddish orange sphere at an extremely high altitude moving south/southwest. Once we found a spot we sat down and looked back up. The object moved very slowly and ended up just fading and disappearing from view. There were no blinking lights or anything the color was very consistent. It seemed to move higher in altitude otherwise I'd say it was something burning up in our atmosphere.

We were lying on a sleeping bag with a tarp under it waiting for clintonville (metro columbus fireworks. 8:35pm. still daylight. we had very good binoculars with us. one object appeared, round, high up, very obviously not an airplane. we watched it through binocs it changed color and moved slowly aross the sky NW to SE perhaps 15 degrees then returned and was stationary. we would estimate this object to have been at 8000-9000 feet. it continued to change color red blue yellow. then three more identical ones appeared just southeast of where the stationary one was, and the three were in a perfect triangular formation. identical in size and shape to the first one, and changing color. very obviously a formation. we watched this through binoculars for at least two-three minutes. then all four moved southeast, the three staying in formation and the first one off behind. they then moved to a higher altitude and were no longer visible. a number of people saw this. we don't know if anyone else watched it through binoculars. one of us is an MD one of us owns a financial advisory company.

About 1 hour after the city's fireworks display, I noticed 15-20 red circular objects in the night sky, southwest from my location in about the center of the city. I first noticed 1 or 2 red lights moving perfectly horizontal above the tree line. At first I assumed they were fireworks, but after viewing 2-3 more red lights, still moving perfecting horizontal through the night sky, I started paying closer attention. On two occasions during the 10 minutes or so I saw the lights, I noticed 3 or 4 lights moving in a triangular pattern, still moving perfectly horizontal. The number of total lights I witnessed was about 15-20. All moving perfecting horizontal, never vertical, and horizontal from a long enough period of time and with no sound where it would dismiss it being fireworks. I was driving my family from Seymour Indiana to New Hampshire on vacation which requured is to go through columbus Ohio. I was driving north on I-71 north just south of the city looking for my next turn to continue on 71n when I noticed a bright object to my left, NW about 11 in the sky at a high but undetermined altitude. I thought it was a meteor or comet because of the intensity of the light and it appeared to have a tail behind the head. I yelled to my family to see it and they did. I yelled for them to video it which two of them did. Instead of one object it suddenly broke into three pieces and continued falling and then they disappeared for a brief moment and the sky went dark and then suddenly 6 light appeared with odd shapes like a triangle and I thought it might be a parachute drill team, but they started moving around in an irregular pattern which made me think debris again until they came together in a line and came down together until they all went dark at the same time and did not twinkle or go out like a flare, or one at a time. They all suddenly vanished at the same time. We have video and cannot find out anything on this via news or reports which makes me wonder what we witnessed. I would like help in knowing and where to have the video reviewed

We saw six lights appear about two miles west of our house. They were too bright and lasted too long to be fireworks. My boyfriend had time to see them and run inside to grab his phone and see the rest of the descent. Some went out and relit. They fell in a zig zag pattern one behind the other equidistant from each other rather slow going north then west like a z. They were bright orange. Too low and slow to be jets or planes. Completely baffled a UFO is the only explanation. They vanished still descending into the tree line.

West Carrollton, OH
This happened to me last night in West Carrollton, OH. I took the dog out around midnight to find a strange looking cloud similar to a roll cloud moving quickly east. It flowed across the horizon like a giant jet contrail, and stretching as far as the eye could see. However it was tremendously lower and larger than I would expect of a contrail and the consistency appeared more like shaving crème than mist. It had peculiar alternating curls forming intermittently on each side as it continued east. I watched the cloud as it traveled out of my city and was startled by the silhouette of a giant black triangle. It was completely silent and without lighting. I observed the object hovering in front of a cloudbank that was illuminated by the city of Moraine. I decided the combination of this unnatural and eerie cloud formation and the giant black triangle would be enough to finally vindicate me with my wife who finds my interest in the unexplained distasteful. After around five minutes of prodding I dragged her outside. By that time the triangle was gone, the sky was clearing and stars visible. She had been less than thrilled when I described the sighting a few weeks earlier and refused to wait and see if we could spot the craft again. She stormed away, frustrated again by her "lunatic husband". I stared up at the stars where the previously unnoticed and rapidly expanding puffy white clouds where racing toward one another. The moment the door slammed shut two tine white orbs that seemed to have long straight tails streak through the cloud cover. They resembled the little firecrackers in twisted white paper you give you kids to throw at the sidewalk while you light the real ones. I had seen the combination of strange cloud behavior and streaking white orbs recently, so I hoped I could expect to see more. And for the next four hours I witnessed more abundant and varied phenomenon then I ever would have expected. I still hav! e a flip phone with a terrible camera so it was too dark when ! I attemp ted to take pictures. Within minutes a black helicopter with a bright green light came into the area where I was observing the clouds. It was quieter than the Blackhawks I became accustomed to at Ft. Campbell, but bot nearly silent. It hovered briefly overhead, the turned to pursue a thick smooth puff of cloud as it started to suddenly rapidly ascend towards the main cloud cover. The cloud seemed to have a slight glow and as it speed off the rear fanned slightly making it look like a little flying whale. s I lost sight of them quickly behind the tree line. Shortly thereafter, noticed a dim bluish pulsing light coming from the larger group of clouds. The mist settled quickly and I thought there could be craft overhead but when I stared my vision became blurry and my eyes wouldn't focus. Repeated attempts to avert and clear my eyes and observe the object through the mist began to give me a strong headache. By the eerie way they moved and the abnormal consistency I assumed that! something other than then nature was influencing them. However I decided to check around the back of my building as it has less light posts and better visibility, Not sure how long I sat out there, but just when I was about to give up a glowing yellowish white ball of light dropped straight out of the sky, I couldn't judge the distance properly or discern where it came from, It seemed to just materialize at high altitude and drop straight down. However a few minutes a an aircraft ascended at a steep angle from what seemed to be where the glowing ball must have fallen. This craft was possibly unrelated as we are close to an airport. had rapidly flashing red and white lights just as civilian craft, yet it was silent and moved very fast. I remained outside a short time, until my growing headache compelled me to call it a night. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he stated that he did not want to talk about the incident. We found it very difficult to communicate with the individual, and he became quite profane. We wonder whether the report might be a hoax. PD

I captured this object and hurried to used my iPhone and zoomed as best I could. I estimate it was at least 1000 feet up and moving in a perfectly straight line, due North. I thought it might be a bird until I saw it was a spherical shape that was collapsing then reshaping to a sphere again, over and over. Solid black. I also thought it might have been a tumbling trash can lid, but it kept constant altitude and a perfectly straight path. I watched it all the way to at least Trenton until I could see it no more. I have a link to the video in a DropBox folder. The video is unedited and straight from my iPhone 5c.

My fiancé took the dog out to potty at 9:45pm when he came running back into the house to get me to come outside and looks at these strange lights flying slowly over the next door neighbors back yard. We both exited our house through the back door and onto our deck to see 2 orange pulsating lights, unidentified flying objects, UFO. They were slowly traveling from a southern direction heading north to north east. As we were watching them, a moment later a 3rd orange pulsating light appeared from what seem to come from same direction following the first two. They were traveling in a straight line. At first, I thought it was a remote control toy, but there was no sound whatsoever. It was very quiet out in the yard. My fiancé had his phone and was working on getting a recording of the sighting when a 4th UFO appeared from the same southern direction as the previous craft, heading northern in a straight line. The whole sighting lasted about 4-5 minutes. The craft were lower to the ground as flying below the clouds. They were NOT any kind of plane, fireworks, floating Japanese lanterns, meteor remnants, fireball, nothing like these things as we educate ourselves as to what flies in the skies and what they look like. These craft were pulsating orange and a white-ish light. They seemed to appear out of nowhere and disappear after traveling about 3/4 a mile, then vanish. A very interesting night and with a partial recording of the sighting. We question as to whether they are new military aircraft, drones, or ET's??? Prior to this event, my son and I witnessed another sighting with 7 orange lights traveling in formation, heading in a northern direction, in October 2013. Looked like the same type of air craft to me. Obviously, something is going on in our skies and we are not the only people who are seeing these orange lights. They appear to be showing up all over the world.

After a few minutes, I saw what I assumed would be an aircraft (Piqua is 35 miles north of Wright Patterson air force base) coming from the north. Then I noticed it's speed and thought it must be a meteor or comet - until it stopped directly overhead. The object was rectangular but not long. As I watched, a blue object emerged from the bottom of object and shot off to the north at the same speed as the "mother" came in. then, immediately after, an orange object emerged and sped off to the South.
