Roughly 10:00 pm EST, on August 20, 2014, my boyfriend and I saw what appeared to be a bright star/sphere like light object, traveling from the west heading east across the sky. The visibility of the sky was completely clear of any clouds, making all the stars and airplanes visible to the naked eye. The appearance of the object my boyfriend and I saw was much brighter, and larger than any star. The object was traveling at the rate of which seemed to be a fast airplane, but had no blinking lights, as all of the airplanes seen in the sky flying at the same time had. The object headed to what seemed to be directly across the sky right over us, bearing no sound, and suddenly appeared to change direction heading south in the sky; away from us, toward a star in the sky. We continued to watch it closely, almost in dismay; captivated, as the object still had no sign of any blinking lights and had no change in its form; staying a consistent bright sphere of light. The object appeared to then not just be flying south, but straight up toward the star just south of us. As we watched my my boyfriend stated “look it’s starting to fade”, and then right before our eyes the object just disappeared; which happened in seconds. I was absolutely dumbfounded, the object appeared to be there in the sky one moment and then what I would describe as it telescoping, farther straight up in the sky, and as it did so, it seemed to have a reddish color as it vanished into the sky. Something like out of a movie, as a star ship might go into hyper drive, and all you see is the afterburners of its jets. The whole occurrence lasted about 60 seconds, to a minute and a half long. Regretfully, I have no footage as my boyfriend and I describe to one another as being memorized, trying to figure out what exactly it was we were looking at, which when the object eerily disappeared in seconds from the sky, we had both agreed that what we had just seen was a UFO.

As I was driving closer it seem to get closer then stores maybe 1000 feet in the are and stayed there the entire time I was driving and a bad feeling I had to stop at a rest stop to understand what I just saw I called my friend and no one believed me at all? So as I got to my friends house shortly after seeing whatever I saw I went out to smoke a cigarette and I'm telling you you could not make this up there was a bright light almost what I just seen but it was slightly higher than last time and I called my friend outside and we both watched as the light went from bright to dim red and disappeared. I still don't know what just happened, I was afraid and I don't get afraid at all. We are uncertain as to whether this report has been submitted as a serious-minded one. The date is flawed, and we suspect the time is wrong, as well, although we cannot be certain of that fact. We have attempted to contact the source of the report to obtain confirmation of time and date, but have not been successful in our attempts. PD

While looking into the sky, they saw something weird and it started to move away but just floated. It was almost a bronze color with looked like pipes all over it but was not a drone and it changed shape. I have a couple of pictures with it.

Red lights appearing in the sky moving southeast to northwest. Came in groups of 3 or 2 or just 1 at a time. Made no sound then just winked out.

Small anchor like shape hovering and zooming over the Columbus area. Many bright colors such as, purple, blue, green, red. It shot up into the sky then went back and forth around the sky then slowly hovered down behind trees. After some time it zoomed out to the left then back behind the trees. At this time, another witness shows up and the colorful object slowly raises. Then disappears behind the trees. The whole time this flying object is changing colors and hovering. Possible model airplane or quad-copter?? PD

About two minutes later I saw one more on the same path, and it also dimmed and disappeared! There was no sound. I estimate 20 objects seen total. They were bright orange like fire balls. I know others must have seen. I'm sure more reports are going to be coming in.

Driving down road behind Home Depot store, we saw a orange light that appeared to be a flame or firey. It was traveling from the north going westward. The object was falling to Earth in straight line or slight arc convex down. The object had an irregular shape that appeared to be pure white flames trailing it with hue changes of the white color as if on fire. It was either fairly close or large and further away. Estimate 2-4 miles.

I was watching tv when I seen outside my window in the western sky a bright red and white flashing light in the distance. At first I thought it was a star but then I noticed the white light was coming from around the object sort of like a flash. The object stayed stationary for about an hour then disappeared. My girlfriend was also a witness to the agent.

One bright red light in sky observed from living room window and was moving directly towards us from the south. Unusually bright and red orange in color for a plane. Went outside to observe and noted it was slowly moving but slightly erratic side to side then stopped. There was no sound heard during this time as we normally do with jets that pass above. We live in a rural area and it is normally quiet and dark because of no street lights. As we watched it as it was stationary it appeared to change to a lighter color, and became smaller as we assumed it gained altitude and disappeared. The event took place in about 5 minutes. I am a Physical therapist and my husband is a commercial pilot and we have never observed red anything like this before.

My sister and I were tossing a frisbee in front of our house this particular night. I noticed 8-10 stationary lights in the sky to the East/Southeast that were in rows like: two, three, three, two, and each was either red, green, or white (not a combination of colors) At first I thought it was maybe lighting from a cell tower or a nearby power substation by Pickerington North High School that's about 2 miles east of us. I asked my sister, "is that lighting from a cell tower - how did I never notice that before!?" We both watched it for a few minutes. The lights started moving and the formation began splitting up and within 10-20 seconds the lights moved away from each other, and disappeared one at a time. A couple years later I saw a dozen Chinese lanterns in the night sky and thought it resembled that, but my sister insists the lights we saw that night were not Chinese lanterns. That would be the closest description I can give though.

Two objects appeared in the ENE sky. One object solid red in color, other object solid white. Red object was seen gaining speed to catch up to other object, then began circling white object. Both objects proceeded on same course for approx 4 min. Then both objects slowly gained altitude and faded.

I live next to the fence line (border) of the Ravenna Arsenal in Charlestown Township, right outside of Ravenna. I have seen many military craft go in and out of the arsenal over the 20 years that we have lived here but I have never seen anything like this. I and a friend were out for our usual morning walk when suddenly my friend grabbed me and told me to look up into the sky. Just above the tree line there was a huge, and very bright, ball of white light that glided quickly across the sky in the direction of the arsenal. It was so bright that it was disturbing to me and I grabbed her in fear and shouted, "What the heck is that?" She explained that it caught her attention because it was so bright against the still dark sky and she first observed it as a ball of light which quickly changed into a triangle and then quickly changed back into a ball of light again. She said it reminded her of a holographic image the way it changed from one shape to another. It moved too fast to be an air craft and we wondered if it could have been a meteor although I have never seen a meteor that low to the tree line and that large. It frightened me. There was also no sound at all associated with this light. It passed right above us and then completely disappeared, like a light bulb turning off, within about 5 or 6 seconds. We live so close to the arsenal that when military craft fly in or out the sound is so loud that our home vibrates. We have been outside many times at night when planes have flown in and out and never have we witnessed anything like this. This was so out of the ordinary it was frightening to both of us.

After doing late night chores and coming back up to the house, we noticed a brilliant ball of light about the size of a helicopter going across the tops of our woods. This light was heading north along SR 61. There was no sound or flashing lights from it. It progressed out across the field then shot up into a cloud and disappeared. The dogs noticed, as they were barking as it was coming down across the tree tops. Could not see anything other than the blinding white light that was produced.

First witness was in a back room of their home and states that they did notice the orange light but thought nothing of it due to frequent helicopter travel above the home. First witness then noticed the light had not moved, cats outside froze as they looked up at the light and then ran off when it moved. The light then proceeded to slowly and steadily move upwards and towards the house. The frst witness began to record the light and then realized the orange light was going descending toward the house. Frst witness ran outside to attempt to record but became frightened when they realized the orange light made no sound. They then procced to rally two other witnesses and follow the light above the front of the house when it descended up into the sky and disappeared. Witnesses say it seemed like an object but the orange lights over came the object. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

About one minute later saw a plane in the sky and was able to observe it for approx. 30-45 seconds before losing sight of it. It was at that point that I became very curious about the circle aircraft as i've never seen anything at that speed before. I was sitting on my back porch, using my tablet, when I saw a single glowing (red) orb cross the sky, traveling from the north west heading south east. I have seen red orbs like this once before, and suspected it might be a ufo, but was unprepared the first time. When the first orb appeared, I watched it dumbfounded for a minute, to see the same object again, then got my wits and went into the house to get my digital camera. I only caught a smidgen of the first object. Then a few minutes later, TWO identical orbs, both glowing red, followed the EXACT same flight path, in the EXACT same direction, at the EXACT same speed. I got the two in formation recorded, only the first few seconds of it were in focus but they are discerable. I didn't have the foresight to have the camera on manual focus and as I zoomed in, it drifted out of focus. Not long after the pair of orbs vanished, a FOURTH came into view, once again, EXACT same flight path as the previous 3. I have a much better video of the last orb. In it, I have the entire flight, from where it first became visible, to when it went beyond where I could see. I have both close zoom and I also pulled back to include the moon in the shot, to provide scale for distance and speed. All four objects were totally silent, I heard no aircraft sounds whatsoever, saw no blinking marker lights, only the red glow. I believe because of location and time, as well as other physical characteristics of the event, that I was not seeing sunlight reflecting from airplanes. The light was constant and consistend for the entire event, never waxing or waning, never changing in intensity as a reflection would. Also, these objects should have been flying through the shadow of the earth, as shown given the time and lunar illumination.

Bright white light traveling very slowly at high altitude from north to south. Directly over head. My wife was walking our dog and I was taking out the trash when she pointed directly upward, bringing my attention to a bright light. The light dipped down toward us, getting bigger in size. Then, suddenly, and very quickly, it headed out into space. My wife and I are both armature ((amateur??)) astronomers and are very familiar with all known aircraft and satellites. We're out looking at the sky every clear night. The size appeared huge, particularly when it dipped down toward us. It was shocking to see it head outward into space.
