Looking up in sky saw round circle orbit like.not a star...no way. A airplane before it and one after we're with it. It moved quite fast and then disappeared between both planes.

There was a big bright light moving like a jet in the sky tonight just before dusk. It was particularly odd in that it looked almost exactly like a great big automobile headlight – perfectly round ball of light, encased in thin outer layer of shiny, silver colored metal. Likewise, there was no vapor trail of any sort behind the craft. In terms of size, it was about double or triple the size of a typical airline jet seen in the sky from a similar ground vantage point.

I went outside for my nightly walk down the street, headed towards the local county prison. As I was walking, I saw bright light due North East. I don’t know what it was about it, but it honestly did not look any differently than all of the other stars in the sky. So I more or less ignored it, even though it seemed to be a bit brighter than the rest of the stars. I’m not sure, but like a majority of stars, I just kind of picked it out of the rest. I continued my walk, but occasionally looked in the area of the light, and it was still there. This went on for around 5-10 minutes. Again, I didn’t pay much attention to it. I'd go along, look in the direction of the light, see that it was still there, (albeit it APPEARED to have moved a tiny bit but I’m chalking that up to a visual illusion) take a few more steps, so on and so forth. Then, all of a sudden, it begins to move. And quickly. I watched it accelerate upwards, and then it flew west and disappeared. That is pretty much it. Not much else to add to this particular experience

On the evening of Nov. 8th, around 8PM, located in Johnston County, North Carolina, I witnessed odd lights in the sky, traveling out of the south into the north. The lights flashed irregularly and at a very fast pace, unlike any aircraft lights I have seen in the past. The lights would flash and then go dark from some distance, and flash again and go dark, for what seemed to be the same distance. It repeated this for five sequences of flashing fading in brightness each time until it went dark. The manner that it “went dark” to me resembled the same way a satellite dimes and fades until it can no longer be seen, so I believe its altitude was very high and fast. The initial flash was sufficiently bright enough in my peripheral vision to grab my attention; the second seemed to be equally as bright and it dimmed from that point on.

This is the 3rd time I have witnessed this strange light over the treeline outside of my house in the past 2 weeks. It always comes to the same area as the last time, it usually stays for about 2 hours on average and I'm watching it right now. It darts around in the air, stopping and changing direction mid path, it will travel a little to the left then stop and take off to the right. Sometimes it goes very fast other times it just moves up and down or in a serpentine motion up to the left/right or down to the left/right then stop and do it again. It's far away so it's small and difficult to make out or get a good look but it's a small light that changes colors and even gets brighter, I notice mostly red,white and bluish colors but it changes fast. It darts around in these motions for around 2 hours gradually getting higher but staying in the same area. The first time I saw it I had about 5 friends come look just so they could see it and maybe help me figure ! out what exactly it was but what starts so many different directions then stops and goes in a completely different direction in mid air. I never hear any sounds and it's like the lights are moving or flickering, it's not a solid color or light that stays on or blinks like an airplane other helicopter and it sure doesn't travel like one either. It's too small and far away for me to get a video or photo with my phone because I have tried multiple times. As I said, this is the 3rd time I have sat and watched this thing dance around in the sky like a bug does around a light gradually getting higher and higher. I've never watched it long enough to see how it ends or where it goes so I couldn't tell you. I just looked up and saw it dart downward very fast then stop, go the left, dart back up, circle to the right and loop back downward. It never goes to the ground just dances around in the same area in these odd start and stop motions. Any information or professional help on this matter would be great and I'm sorry if this is poorly written, but I really don't know how to describe this occurrence, you would have to see it on your own. It's always in the area over by where Dunn would be, off in that general direction and stays for a long time. Thank you

very unusual.. was driving home and saw unique lighted crafts total of three they moved in same direction. I drove slowly (in disbelief) of what i had seen first hand ..round in size lights completely around side of all three crafts.. did not expect to see an event like this,,ever"i drove slowly and watched their movement for about five minutes then they went out of sight quickly..could not believe it myself. The sightings appeared 100 to 200 feet off the ground traveling about 20mph in south to north direction along the intercostal waterway. Appearance of a transparent balloon with fire inside it. Size approximately 6 to 10 feet in diameter. They appeared one at a time and reminded in the visible field for 2 minutes each. Driving home. Looking into the west/northwest sky. It was dark already, I saw a rapidly descending object spherical in shape--it was yellow/orange and shot sparks 3-4 separate times as it was descending--then I lost sight of the object. I was almost certain that something would have crashed or fallen from the sky and it would be on the news. I have seen nothing. Other drivers on NC-147N seemed to see it too and hit their breaks-not finding any reports on the news or anything though. It was definitely different from any meteor shower/aircraft/shooting star that I've observed before.

My brother and I were standing in a hospital parking lot talking, and I noticed a bunch of reddish-orange lights coming over the treetops and rising up into the sky. I asked him what it was and he said he had no idea. A nurse walked up and started watching them also. she had no idea what they were either. I started counting and got 35, but there were more before I started counting. Once they got up in the sky overhead they appeared to line up in a type of formation of 3's. What was so strange is they made no noise at all. Once they passed over us they completely disappeared or turned off the lights. My brother thought they must be some type of stealth military aircraft. I did not see anything on the news that night so I just brushed it off until today when I read a post on this site from some other people in the area that saw the same thing. I am a retired dispatcher, my brother is a businessman and the third witness was a nurse.

My neighbor knocked on our door in a frantic when she went to take her dogs out. "QUICKLY, COME SEE THESE LIGHTS!" Me and my wife scrambled out the front door to see the lights fly in a pattern. triangle followed by three in a straight line followed by a triangle repeating. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) This is the picture of the UFO we saw. My neighbor is the one who alerted us that there was lights in the sky when she was outside walking her dog. She knocked on our door saying “Hurry! Come see the lights!” me and my fiancée rushed out to see about 50+ orange balls in a formation coming from the Fort Mill/Rock Hill direction of SC. We are close to the border so we can see the objects moving from that direction. I was in a parking lot leaving a coffee shop when I looked up and saw a yellow glowing crescent to the right of the moon, but it was lower in the sky than the moon was. It kindve looked like a half solar eclipse except much much smaller, it was a bit smaller than the moon too. After about 2 minutes, it started to "go out" and then looked like a normal star and then just disappeared. It did not move around it the sky, it just stayed in place. I was alone driving down Friendly Avenue in Greensboro North Carolina at 12:43 am on October 29th, 2014 when I saw a bright green glowing diamond shoot overhead. It was leaving a white trail of light behind it and disappeared in less than 2 seconds. There was no sound that I could hear over my radio and there was no crash heard.

So my boyfriend and I walked outside to smoke, and we saw this strange object in the sky, moving in slow motions, back and forth, up and down... It was so bright, and it seemed as if it flashes red at some points.. So we continued to watch, and then we saw a helicopter approach it,a and it shined it's lights directly down onto it.. So my boyfriend and I were really intrigued now.. That helicopter left, and about 5 minutes later, we see this other one coming, and my boyfriend said " be ready to see something strange happen.." And it passed it at first, then turned right back around, and shined it's lights down straight on it, and circle it.. It circled it for about 10 minutes... And I was just, in shock.. The helicopter left, and a third one came along, and did the same thing.. So we assume that people have been calling and reporting this strange object. My boyfriend and I went inside for about, 20 minutes, and went back outside, it had vanished. I ! just want to see if others had witnessed this, or something similar. I want to know what this was, and what's going on.

UFO above I-40 between Old Fort and West Morganton, North Carolina. At 10 pm, last Sunday night, October 26, 2014, I was driving I-40 east-bound on my way home to Rocky Mount from a weekend checking on my elderly mom in Hendersonville, NC. I left at 6:30 pm, took 26 west in heavy traffic to Asheville by 7PM, and then took 40 east. I came over the Black Mountain Pass and stopped at the Old Fort McDonald’s for a quick break and was back on the road about 8:00 pm. It was dark by then. I drove east on I-40 for about half an hour, when suddenly I noticed above me and ahead of me the thick edge of a brightly shining luminous white disk hanging in the night sky. It was very high up, but right over the road. It did not move. The dashboard clock said 10 PM! What!???? I was between a steep mountain ridge paralleling the road on my right, to the south, and a hillside to the north. Both sides of the road were heavily wooded as far as I could see in the dark. I could not see any houses or lights anywhere. I looked for a mile marker, but didn’t find one. The object was amazing. It was as if I Iooked straight on to the side of a doughnut, then lifted it up to about an 11:00 position. I could see the brilliant white light and the thick wide curves of the right and left sides. I drove under it a few minutes later, with some trepidation. I thought the object might be a reflection of some sort off the windshield, so I opened the sunroof completely, sliding the glass back all the way. Looking up thru the open sunroof, I could see that it was a perfect white circle with three very bright green circular lights under it. The three green lights clustered in the center together, quite pretty. They looked exactly like the three circular razors on the head of an electric Norelco razor. Neither the white object nor the three green lights beneath it appeared to spin, move, or rotate, though. There was no sound or vibration. It was not a balloon. What was it? The atmosphere was clear and not misty or foggy, so there were no perceptible light beams through the air. There was not wind that night. I thought it might be a house on the mountain to my right. However, the mountain was very steep and I could see the darker ridge line lower down to my right against the sky, farther away. There were no lights on the mountain. So the brilliant light was not coming from anything on the mountain itself. It was above me and not over on the mountain. To my left was the west bound lane and heavy woods and trees and another steep slope whose top I could not see for the trees. There were no lights to my left either. Above me, there were no clouds in the sky. The object was against a starry sky. The moon was up that night, but it was to the south-southwest, according to the moon app on my cell phone, and it was out of my vision range, south of the high mountain ridge to my right somewhere. The bright object was definitely not the moon or any planet. It was way too big for that. The light was brilliant, but not blinding. If I put my hands up and held them about a foot apart, that’s how big it appeared when I first saw it, as I approached it. Looking up through the open sunroof, I heard no sound and did not feel anything. The object was completely still in the air, not moving, not rotating, just hovering up above and very slightly off to the side, to the right/south of I-40. It was lower than the mountain ridge to my right. It was closer to the road than to the mountain. As I drove under it, I was a little scared, but nothing happened. I would say it was at about the 1:00 position above the highway. There was no other traffic around me on the east bound lane. Since I was looking up, I didn’t notice if there was any traffic coming toward me on the west bound lane. I passed a small unlit exit on my right leading downwards to the south, but passed it too quickly to catch the number. Then, I came into trucks and had to take my eyes away. When I looked back, I couldn’t see the object anymore because the road curved. I came up to the Morganton exit, several minutes after I saw the object. I don’t know how to explain the missing time between 8:30 and 10:00 pm. It doesn’t take an hour and a half to drive between Old Fort and Morganton! I was driving between 65 and 70 miles an hour, so I couldn’t have fallen asleep. I left Asheville at about 7pm, and Old Fort about 8:00, so I should have been past Statesville by 10 PM. My dashboard clock is accurate. I will be 67 this month. I am a retired school teacher and live near Rocky Mount, NC. I don’t smoke, drink, do drugs, or mess around. I have backpacked around the world twice and am an avid hiker and trekker. As a teacher, I am rational, objective, and factual. I don’t believe in UFO’s. I have never seen one. However, I try to keep an open mind and entertain possibilities without judgment. What did I see? And what happened to me in the missing hour and a half? Perhaps I made a mistake? I think I will make the drive again soon and double check the time and my position. I know that steep mountain ridge, just not sure exactly where it is. I tried to check on Google Earth, but it does not give elevations, so I could not tell exactly where I was. Surely, there must be an explanation. I have reported the incident to the Superintendent of the Burke County Sheriff's office. She told me that she would report it to the airport management for Burke County Airport. Photo? My phone was dead and charging, but it would have been dangerous to do while driving, and I didn’t feel safe stopping that late at night in such a location. Frankly, I MUST have seen a UFO, what else could it have been? Yes, I have lost time twice before that I know of; once at twelve years old and once in India in 1976. I have no explanation. Earlier this evening I reported an encounter with a possible UFO over I-40 eastbound, between Marion and Morganton, NC. In my first report I thought I was missing an hour and a half because the dashboard clock said 10PM when I saw the bright light above me, but I had only left Old Fort about half an hour before, about 8PM. I have revised my opinion: I think the dashboard clock was affected. I think it mistakenly said 10PM, because I arrived in Rocky Mount between 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM as expected. Its a six hour drive from Asheville. I was right on time. It would have been utterly impossible to go from Morganton to Rocky Mount in only 2 and 1/2 hours. Therefore, the clock must have been affected by the object I saw. This means that I was NOT missing an hour and a half. Whew! Because my cell phone battery wasn't working either, I couldn't check the time on my cell phone. Don't wear a watch. Thank you for allowing me to alter my conclusion. I just didn't think of it before.

I observed a UFO. I first saw it in the center of sky moving southeast. It looked like a very bright star, but it seemed to close to earth to actually be a star or a satellite. The flight was airplane speed or faster. It moved from 12 o'clock to 3 or 4 o'clock and then faded out. There were no blinking lights, fire trail, vapor trail or sound. It was moving southeast.

I was on the front porch looking north at the stars in the night sky. There were planes flying north to south in their usual flight pattern for this area. Suddenly I noticed an odd light approximately 1,000 feet up flying west to east that resembled a very bright light bulb. It was rounded and extremely bright. I called my mother to come and see it, and we watched it fly along in a westerly direction towards downtown North Wilkesboro. It floated to a certain point and then appeared to turn right and head north, and upon turning, the light faded quickly and was gone. It was not a plane or a helicopter, had no navigational lights, and it made no noise.

Noticed while riding passenger in a vehicle a incredibly shiny round object in the sky. I watched it for several seconds then notice that it moved incredibly fast to a different location in the sky then moved back for about two seconds, then after that it was gone.
