Lebanon, OR ~9:30 pm. I looked through my house window and noticed a bright light moving fast in the sky. I had heard there were meteor showers happening tonight, so I went outside to watch. But, the light was moving very fast and not like the meteors I have seen. Then I had the thought it was a planet or satellite. The light was very bright white light. Then the light started to slow down and it changed directions multiple times. At this point, I had no idea what this thing could be-it wasn’t behaving like the meteors, planets or satellites that I typically see in the sky. I went inside quickly to get my cell phone to take photos/video and get my husband. He then came outside and watched the light with me. At this point the light suddenly changed from bright white to red. This was really weird to see happen and kind of freaked us out! Then the light started to descend even more when we lost it behind the tree line. It looked as if it was descending toward the ground. We walked down the block to see if we could spot it behind the trees. We then saw another white light moving similarly (speeding up/slowing down, changing directions suddenly and then looked to descend toward the ground). We followed it as long as we could before it moved out of sight. We did not see the second light change color like the first one. I have attached photos of the light after it changed red. The light looked very large and bright. I took video of the light for at least 20 seconds, I saw the video recording and we only turned it off when the light descended from view but for some reason only about 2 seconds of the video saved…. Not sure what is up with that!

In bed next to girlfriend and woke up because thirsty. Southwest of the city, flashes/explosive lights filling the sky. No sounds, just silent, near blinding lights. Duration was ~1.5s every 2-4 minutes. As I type, it is continuing to move on a westward trajectory toward the coastal hills. When closest to this location, streetlights, fans and AC units would dim when flashes occurred.

We were sitting in our chairs, I was playing with my green laser light to point to stars at the clear sky, Then I spot the very faint dark orange circular object moving at a good speed from North to South along the beach, I pointed my green laser light at it to show people around me and others at the beach... It moved faster than a regular plane but very silent. Within 30 seconds it was too far to follow with my green laser light.

Beginning around 3:55, I went outside for a cigarette and as is my custom, craned my neck staring at the sky. Spotted the popular three star triangle, and the waning moon to its left. Viewing from the SW to SE skies, directly above me. In Homestead neighborhood right next to OHSU hospital. It started with one object, I assumed was a star shifting its light. Then it began to move sporadically, circling and zig-zagging... slowly drifting upwards and to the right. I used the moon as a still-object to make sure I wasn't seeing things. The longer I watched it, the more it moved. No blinking or flashing lights. Quick, sporadic movements in short spurts; sometimes in longer spurts. Sometimes it grew still. Around twenty minutes into the sighting, while moving in circular motion, a smaller light spat out from it and vanished. I also find it interesting that during this 40 minute time period I saw two very large meteors and several much smaller ones. I report four objects, as there were two other much, much dimmer objects nearby moving in similar fashion. The third appeared after one of the large meteors, zig-zagged a small amount, and then moved on much like an airplane straight across the sky. The other three sightings were not as spectacular as the first, which remained... even after I ran back upstairs to grab my camera. Of course, since the light is the size of a star it was impossible to capture on my digital camera. Also worth mentioning is that last night, my roommate (who also witnessed this sighting) and I were driving home and saw what can only be described as a carousel-like ship. Rotating slowly and moving slowly, with alternating white lights fading in and out. They were not blinking, were not airplane beacons and were not red or green. Just white. Rotating, or spinning, and moving across the sky in a diagonal manner. I am hesitant to label this immediately as a UFO, as it could very well be a drone. However, due to the strange optical lights, fading alternately; and after doing a few hours of research on drones and their lightings, I found that most drones have stationary or flashing lights much like airplanes... not this gentle, soft fading white lights in alternating fashion. And lastly, on the fourth of July during fireworks, I also saw three star-like objects much like tonight's sighting: sporadic movement and quickly disappearing. These sightings lasted mere seconds, unlike tonight's sighting in which the first object remained for 40+ minutes. In conclusion, tonight's sighting of the continuous object with sporadic movement: spat out a smaller light that vanished. A few times very vague trails with its quicker movements. Wish I had binoculars or a telescope. Will invest as I seem to be sighting more and more UFOs lately.

Observed 3 lights in line, traveling South across the night sky, one after another. Could not make out a craft but could have been a cigar shape the way the lights were illuminating. The lights were the same brightness as the stars I had been looking at, and they were traveling faster than if you would see a satellite cross the sky.

The light was not blinding and lit up the world dimly. It abruptly disappeared with almost an sparking visual, as one would see from a flare.

I was outside about 10:15 pm and was watching the skies, and I noticed a bright "light" (about 4 times brighter than the brightest star), moving silently, from west to east. It was moving as fast or a bit faster than a normal plane. It lasted about 3 minutes. After the "light" was no longer visible, I saw 2 planes or helicopters (flashing red & blue lights-still no sound) that appeared together in the same area of the sky that the light flew to. They moved somewhat together flying to the south. Not sure if there is any connection. I would really like to know what this could be. I checked the ISS website to see if it was over my area at that time, but it was far away and nowhere near me. I watch the skies at night a lot and have often seen dim "star" like lights moving across the sky which I always assume are satellites. But this "light" was much, much different. I have seen something like this once before, about a year ago in the same location. At this time the bright "light" was being followed by lights that looked like a plane.

I looked out my bedroom window, as I often do before making my trip to the bathroom, to look at the stars. When, I could not believe my eyes… an orange glowing circular shape was moving pretty fast towards the trees! I grabbed my glasses off the night stand, and sure enough…. This was unusual! I have been watching the stars since I was a kid, and even own a high power scope, in which I have witnessed rings of Jupiter, many moon craters, and a solar eclipse. I know what a satellite looks like. This was NOT a satellite. What was it???! I ran outside to get another look at it, but of course, it was gone.

My daughter and I were sitting in her room and heard this super loud firecracker yet metallic metal steel drum boom kind of sound outside and so we looked out her bedroom window which is facing south eastern and we immediately saw a bright whiteish yellowish light aspirin sized flying and there was no noise to it, no blinking helicopter or airplane lights, didn't really look like a satellite because it was low down more and it kind of spooked us. I ran for the camera in the kitchen and came out onto the back porch. I managed to film it for a minute or so before the neighbor and his dog came out downstairs and I was only wearing a night shirt so I ended the video and ran inside. I peeked out the front door to see if it was still flying away and it was getting dimmer and headed NE. It was sighted around 9:35 pm. I videoed the object and the moon was coming up behind the small patch of forest next to the field, which I have under the object for size reference. ! Lots of dogs are barking in the neighborhood. Around 9:44pm we heard another noise like the one earlier, and at around ten minutes later noticed a cop car driving down the little dirt road next to the big empty field behind our apt complex. The cop had his spotlight on looking around and I'm guessing he was called to find out what that sound was. Feeling spooked and want to keep my eye out for anything else. I'm not sure what it was but I would love to see that video super close up and figure out what it was!

While driving northbound from Clackamas to Troutdale, Oregon, I witnessed a large, very flat object, hovering in mid air. The size of the object isn't clear to me, but seemed to be the size of a medium size jet plane. It was very thin, almost looked flat and was bright white or silver in color. The object seemed to move very effortlessly and was not in any known flight path that I have seen in the area. It seemed to be gravitating towards other aircraft in the area but never got too close. I watched for roughly 10 minutes before arriving at a location I could pull over and take a photograph. At this point I had lost sight of the object for less than 30 seconds, since the last point it went out of view because of trees. It had completely disappeared upon my arrival to my destination. Was not an airplane or helicopter. Looked nothing like any drones I had ever seen. 95 degrees, clear skies and sunny. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he seemed to us to be quite eloquent and sober-minded. We suspect he is a very good witness. PD

Traveling east on hwy 140 just outside of Eagle Point, three men, ages 23, 35 and 62 (whome is retired air force and currently still flys civilian small aircraft) all witnessed a large bright metallic oval traveling south to north at an incredible speed. The object then zig zagged up at 45 degree angles, hovered for roughly 1 full minute, before disappearing like someone turned off a light switch.

At about 13:00 on July 27, 2015, I observed a very bright light through 10 power binoculars. It was about 20 degrees east of the sun. Sky conditions were cloudless with a brilliant blue sky. I discovered it while following an airliner flying overhead from North to South trailing a contrail. The object was not visible with the naked eye. The object was stationary and visible for over an hour. It had a shape like a small quarter moon. I initially thought it might be Venus but could find no Internet reference stating that Venus would be visible during daylight. Nor could I find any Internet reference to any object visible during daylight. My wife observed and confirmed my observation.

I was standing on the valley floor of Lost Valley, below the little town of Dexter at the foot of Mt. Zion looking South. The sky was completely clear. The long distance view is amazing, I was outside, scratching my horses back, enjoying the stars late at night. There were flashes in the sky at irregular intervals just above the southern mountains. I've seen this before but not for so long and then they seemed larger...at first I assumed it was a far off storm moving in. There wasn't any sound associated with the light, my horses were perfectly content and they had been nervous the morning of the Springfield 4.2 earthquake we had recently that shook my house. When I checked the lightning maps and weather reports, there was no cloud cover or lightning locally or even miles and miles away from us and I've found that report to be quite accurate. The flashes were too large/widespread to be fireworks and it was too late to be forest blasting plus--there would have been noise. It made me wonder about the reports of light flashes I've read about that appear just before an earthquake. It illuminated the southern horizon. I have a background in aviation-groundschool and IFR and know a bit about meteorology, but I can't make a good guess what caused it, so thought to post it here. I don't think it was heat lightning, I could be wrong. Thank You.

My two young daughters and I were at Clark Creek park in Salem, Oregon, 07/14/15 at around 5:10 pm. The sky was clear and blue with a few clouds and it was a warm nice day. I looked up near the southeastern part of the sky and noticed a stationary white object that was round, and had a sort of white or metallic look to it. It might have very slowly moved while we observed it, but I can't be sure. I had my Canon camera with me at the park, so I started to film it, and it was hard to keep it steady because my kid started crying, as most toddlers do when the stroller stops moving. My 5 year old was talking about it as we have talked about ufos in the past and she was very interested in it. It disappeared right before our eyes after only being there for a few short minutes, and we continued walking in the park picking berries. I looked up again to see and it showed up again in around the same area of the sky. It sort of had a translucent halo around it that was very! hard to see but I noticed it nonetheless. It disappeared again and we were pretty excited. A regular big white airplane showed up and flew past the area we had sighted the ufo, maybe the same height in the sky as well, and according to the size of the plane I'll guess that ufo was maybe half the size of the plane and a much brighter shiny white color. I have witnessed and filmed some other objects before, and my husband and I are very interested ufo researchers. He has college background I have graduated high school and we're intelligent and read a lot. This type of sighting only has me feeling they will be back again. I have submitted a report to MUFON and uploaded the video I shot today as well.

At first I assumed an airplane approaching PDX, but it completely stopped well up in the southeastern sky. Seemed to have had red lights plus a secondary color, perhaps yellow or green. After hovering a moment it slowly descended diagonally before dropping straight down out of my sight. Seemed to drop in front of tall firs perhaps 1000 yards from me. Strange movement, jogs and jags. Stayed close to the same area in the sky for a long period of time. No noise and was above my home. Guessing a drone of a sort. Why it hung out in the same area for such a long time? Would turn and light would dim and then turn and have a bright whitish blue light. Shot some video.

Me and my fiance came home the night of july 7th around 11:00 pm., and my fiance's friend (who had just dropped us off) calls and says theirs extremely bright orbs and flashing lights behind our house! i hear my fiance say "what is it still there!?" and we jumped out our bedroom window on to the roof and we see flashing every couple minutes which looked almost like lightning, it lit up the whole sky. but it was changing colors and coming from the same spot. (and it wasn't a light device or anything.(it was in our 85 year old neighbors yard.) Then we heard another neighbor's horse cry which was pretty close to it and our 4 dogs started freaking out and this extremely bright! white light orb type of flying object appears at the top of a tree hovering and was moving to the left slowly in increments then another one appeared on the ground below it. The one above the tree then appeared to be following a plane that was leaving the airport pretty close to our house, the lights were too bright to see any details other than that the light seemed to be circular. A minute later they blinked then disappeared then we saw a tiny thing jetting through the stars.and it looked like there was dark a cloud all around his property this whole time that then dissipated.and i also had the eeriest feeling the whole time it made me feel like i was having an anxiety attack.We didn't sleep till like 4 or 5 am. The next morning i went over t my neighbors house and told him what we had saw but he has been in bed already. I went out on my porch to have a cigarette and look at the stars, around 22:30 to 23:00. The fog hadn't moved in yet and the sky was very clear. I noticed a light traveling from the northeast to southwest of my position. At first, I though it was a satellite, which I often see at night from my porch about the same time. However, then I realized that it was going in the opposite direction of how they usually go, and I also realized that there were two lights traveling side by side. As they got overhead of my position, one reversed and went back toward the northeast while the other continued on toward the southwest for about a minute or two. When the one going southwest was almost out of my sight line, it reversed, heading toward the northeast and sped up to travel along side the other light. I watched them until they disappeared in the northeast, out of my sight. They stayed in a side by side formation until they disappeared. The most intriguing thing about these lights is the way they changed direction. There were no turning maneuvers. They simply changed direction by reversing their fight path. There was no sound, but they were very high; about the level of what a satellite would travel. They flew very smoothly, steadily and about the same speed a satellite would travel. I see many types of aircraft flying, at night, over my area, because we are on the flight path for the Portland Airport and also because there is a Coast Guard station nearby. These lights did not maneuver or travel in the same way a plane or Coast Guard helicopter would and were not following the same flight path as the satellites that fly over this area. Also, satellites do not change direction in flight.

At finale of firework display in West an abrupt blue light entered while I filmed. There was no noise, and first impression was a singular shooting star. It preceded several orange lights and all abruptly reversed their direction. Either in a tight formation of as one. I thought helicopter, or drone but it was extremely fast and noiseless.

Two orange balls of light traveling south to north over land along the coast line. No noise was heard and when observed with binoculars I could not make out any details other than the round shape. Objects traveled identical paths but were a great distance apart. Each object became faint and disappeared upon reaching same point directly east of my location.

I was outside looking at the night sky to the west, deciding to go inside. I then turned east and spotted a large orange orb in the sky. It was very bright with points, as a star appears, but appeared to be an orange fireball. Initially, I thought it was a fire work, then realized the size and direction and speed of travel ruled out the possibility of fireworks. It was perhaps 100 ft. up, just above the trees, coming from Ten Mile Lake. As it moved closer, the fire dimmed some and it appeared as an orange orb. It was moving at a fair speed WSW flying adjacent to Hilltop Drive. It then began to turn south and continued, moving out of sight beyond the treeline. My daughter had come outside and witnessed the final moments, as it moved beyond our line of sight. It was amazing. Within 2-3 minutes, you could hear helicopters coming toward us heading in the same general direction that the orb went in.
