I went outside to see the jets flying by. I saw two fighter jets flying northeast. The sky was clear with few clouds. Looking back towards the west I saw a dark brown cigar shaped object. I looked away to see if it was my eyes, and it was still there. It was hovering still. It changed to a circular shape and began moving north in a horizontal motion. It paused again and hovered still. It began moving horizontally north again and I lost it in the tree line. It did not move like a plane or a bird.

Saw an extremely bright, changing color, flickering, triangle shaped object flying above the ocean. It looked like water was being pulled into it. There was a smaller object next to it, just stagnant. There was no sound with either but both had a glowing haze. We got a quick video! Soon as we put the flash on, it stopped flickering colors and the brightness stopped and took off.

My student and I were performing a long cross country IFR flight. We departed our home airport, French Valley, to Santa Barbara airport. The type of aircraft we were flying is a Piper Archer. Estimated time of event was 16:15 Pacific time. Indicated altitude was approximately 6,100 ft MSL (Mean Sea Level). Indicated Airspeed was 105 KTS. Approximate position was over Van Nuys Airport/ Burbank Airport, 2 – 5 miles West of VNY VOR, on the V186. Heading 280 degrees, North West bound. Preceding the event, I remember ATC (Air Traffic Control) informing us of various aircraft around our present position. I was looking down at my iPad to look for any incoming traffic to maintain separation. As I looked at our position on the screen, there were multiple targets around our position that did not seem to be a factor as they were pretty far from our location. The alarming and confusing matter was that the Garmin 430’s TCAS (Traffic Collision Avoidance System) was going off giving me a collision alert. It was depicting a target -100 ft from our position at our 12 o’clock, and it was moving fast towards us, opposite direction. I began to panic as this is very close. My student pilot in the left seat yelled, “Oh My God”, and jerked the aircraft controls. From my point of view, I was sitting in the right seat, as I looked outside to search for this fast aircraft 100 ft below us I saw a dark gray metallic figure dip low and pass right underneath our left wing. It looked like it made that it made a last-minute maneuver to avoid us. visually it seemed closer to being within 50 ft. I was able to quickly glance at the object as it was to my left. This UFO looked closely like an oval, teardrop, or a tight dish-like shape, and very aerodynamic like. To me it looked like a mix between a fossilized trilobite with a smooth carapace, or flying manta-ray/turtle. The size of the object was approximately the size of a small jet like a Honda Jet or a very wide sports car. From my memory the top side of the object appeared to be made of metal as I saw metal plates that resembled closely to the top side of B2 bomber or a F-35 aircraft. I knew it was metal as I was able to see the sun reflecting it’s shine from the top of the object into my eyes. This event lasted less than 2 seconds and happened quickly. The object maneuvered incredibly fast. After the event, my student was terrified as she was asking me what had almost collided with our plane. I gave her my description of what I saw and she confirmed and said it looked more like a flying saucer. She was able have a closer look as she was closer to the object and had a better view of it. I look back down to my iPad to verify if it was still close by and the G430 and it was gone. My thoughts: The weird thing is that if this was a UFO made by a sophisticated intelligent life form outside of our known planet, it should not have a transponder or a signal that our technology should pick up. The other contradictory factor is that why would a military aircraft operate in close vicinity of congested airspace. The other factor is that a flying object like that with our present technology shouldn’t be capable of cruising at those high speeds. Even fast-moving large aircraft, such as B747, would appear to be moving slowly from the ground or in air. Did we feel the wake turbulence? No because we were above the UFO, and wing tip vortices sink towards the ground. It couldn’t have been a bird either or balloon either as the size was just far too large to match the profile of what we experience. We did not report our experience to ATC as we were very shocked from the event. Looking back at my track logs of Foreflight, there appears to be a good 3 minutes of my flight data missing during the approximate time of the event. ((NUFOC Note: We spoke at length via telephone with this witness, and we found him to be serious-minded. We suspect he is an excellent witness, and highly reliable. We are expecting to receive a supplementary report from the student pilot, as well. PD))

Rancho Palos Verdes, CA/February 28 @ 9:15PM: Unidentified Sighting My husband and my 10-year-old daughter saw a strange bar of extremely bright light in the air. They went outside as it circled in the sky for about 30 seconds. It was soundless and unnaturally smooth. Then, the object glided out of sight, heading north at a tremendous speed. It appeared to be about 500 feet in the sky and seemed too large to be a drone. We were not able to capture a picture of it ourselves, but after looking online we found picture almost identical to what we saw.

Looking West over top of my house when I saw a flash of blue/white light. Second flash a couple of seconds later closer to me. At that point I could make out a black triangle with one very dim blue light on one corner. It came a little closer and hovered for approximately 10 seconds and then vanished.

On February 23, 2021 my son and I were out on our back deck at about 7:00 p.m. (PST). We were looking to the north east and the sun had been down for about an hour or so. It was relatively clear out. The temperature was a comfortable sixty degrees. We wore light jackets. We had been fooping around and my son looked up to the sky. He saw an odd looking cloud in the sky. He asked “is it just me, or does it look like something from another world just crashed?”. The cloud extended clear from the eastern horizon nearly to the western horizon. It was shaped like icing squeezed from a piping bag across a dark blue cake. We wanted to take pictures of the odd looking cloud so I got out my phone to take a picture. (Pictures sent to the email in the website). Then, my son saw a bright object appear but did not see where it came from. Then my son saw the object make a straight path downward, then make a u-turn back up. I didn’t notice this while it occurred and while I was taking the photographs. My son also saw it change shape from a helicopter shape to a bright oval, and then speed away and appeared to change into a bird.

At 0522 hrs at approximately 80 degrees elevation I observed around three dozen lights travelling from west to east towards Edwards AFB. The lights were white in color and spaced different distances apart. All were moving in a straight line. Some appeared to be singular and some appeared to be almost double. The speed was not very fast but appeared to be gliding across the sky. They appeared at an observable distance and faded from view when they were too far away to be seen. Their magnitude were about equal to the normal stars in view at the time. No sound was observed.

Place sighted and where we were. The still pictures and video were taken from - Hollywood Beach CA. at the intersection of Los Feliz Ave. and Sunset Lane View: Looking out toward Anacapa Island (in the Channel Islands chain)- Aircraft 'appeared' to be flying between Anacapa (which is 7 miles from the mainland from Hollywood Beach). What we saw: Five extremely bright lights moving (flying ?) in a circular flight pattern which defied normal aircraft flight patterns and maneuvering (to include helicopters). The leader would disappear and circle around to come back in the picture frame on the right. The four kept equal separation/distance apart from one another. The leader would reappear from the right to rejoin the four. Appeared to be helicopters with bright lights when I zoomed in on one of the still pictures- also when the video is run in slow motion. I've never seen anything like it before during my days of flying Huey's in the Corps and having a commercial pilots license (helicopter and fixed wing). Night formation flying is difficult- as you know- especially when the lead appears to shut off its light(s) and makes a fast turn to the right and returns to the formation on the right of the picture. Remarkable!

As I was pulling out of my drive way I looked up towards the sky and saw 20 + lights like stars moving across the sky in a straight line above mid city Los Angeles. They were mostly uniformed except for a couple that would move closer to other lights. Couldn’t take a picture with my phone because my camera doesn’t work.

A formation of 10 circular lights traveling line astern, not all equally spaced and appearing to move independently, on a northwest to southeast course flying over Lake Forest, CA near Civic Center. Maintained visibility for approximately 5 minutes before disappearing into the horizon. Confirmed whether there were aircraft or helicopter activity near my position and these targets were not visible on The FlightRadar24 Application at my location or on observed flight path.

At 5:25 AM Pacific time. I was taking out the trash and I saw something moving across the sky at a high rate of speed and the sky was perfectly clear I saw a big dippers I saw ordinary planes going around in the sky but this one was no plane it was moving so fast it was unbelievable to see a large cluster of white stars shot across the sky from north to East going at a high rate of speed faster than a plane would ever go there was at least 15 to 20 moving across the sky. They were not physically aligned they were all in different shades moving across the sky happened so fast by the time you pointed at them they were already across the sky headed east.

Was driving east on hwy 58 when I looked up in the sky and noticed over 20 or more lights in a straight line moving south east. Sky was clear and stars where visible. I observed no other movement in the sky. The lights where bright and moving at the same time. The lights disappeared only to reappear as I got off the freeway and onto another side road. Same lights and same formation and going in the same direction. I pulled over to get a better look and to take a picture but my stupid camera wouldn't focus. The lights once again disappeared as quickly as they appeared. There are many testing sites near tehachapi/mojave so I figured it might be helicopters in formation or something to that effect but as I rolled my window down I didn't hear anything. Other then freeway traffic it was for the most part quite. Never seen anything like that before. Well hopefully this information helps. Tried to get it to you while it was still fresh in my memory. Also I was bet! ween tucker road and tehachapi willow rd when I seen both sightings. Thank you and I hope the information I gave you helps.

This string of lights was moving faster than a jet aircraft would at what appeared to be a comparable altitude. The string consisted of 20 - 30 lights that remained horizontally in line with each other and moved in complete silence. The movement of the row of lights appeared as though they were attached to each other by a single string. The wind was coming from the east and the lights were moving west. There was no noise at all and the lights were white with a similar intensity of brightness as the surrounding stars. They were too low to have been a satellite.

At 5:25am PST I walked into our backyard to check on our dog. Something caught my eye in the sky and looked up, southern skies towards Fresno, Ca. What I saw made me freeze, it was a perfect string of lights, almost like airplanes if my brain was trying to confirm what I saw. Not even in spacing but very close together. Almost like a Christmas string of lights, they were moving at a steady but not rushed pace until they disappeared from view. I posted on Facebook what I saw and immediately four of my friends who were just leaving their workout all saw it. Another friend's husband recorded them. Nobody has any idea what they were...

High in the Eastern sky over the Sierra Foothills I observed as I can best describe this as a two long but separate straight string of lights. Like a. Long passenger train might look like at night with all the light showing through open windows. I watch as the first one moved I a north to south direction with a 30 degrees down angle. It took 2 to 3 minutes to make its way out of view but as it did the 2nd one which was identical to the first came into view following the same path and same duration .
