Vicksburg, MI

I spotted an object which was closer to the tree line. I was unable to tell the shape exactly if I zoom in on the picture it is a bright light rectangle in shape. It appears to have bright lights on bottom, it hovers in one spot. It is very noticeable. It appeared for a few minutes then went away and then reappeared for a minute and disappeared. I also saw it in the same exact place a few nights ago. Planet? PD

Bay City, MI

I saw a series of orange lights moving slowly across the sky from a southerly direction toward the north. There were about seven of them and they were equally spaced. They periodically dropped what looked like small balls of fire that extinguished before hitting tree level.

Holland, MI

Spotted a group of bright lights, low in the sky, hovering over a parking lit with a near by water tower. The lights ranged from white to green to red. However on my phone (started videotaping) some purple lights were recorded as well. The group of lights didn't move a lot, hovered mostly, for about 25 minutes before moving further west towards Lake Michigan. At that point 4 of us hopped in my car and tried to follow it. When we reached the parking lot , 30 seconds away, the group of lights suddenly turned into a V formation and has a small cluster of lights next to that. As the V formation and cluster of lights seemed to form from the previous hovering lights, it went from being super low and close, in the sky, to higher up and appeared further away. However, when we stepped out of car to look at it, the V formation and cluster of little lights appeared to be right overhead. The top left light, the brightest one, of the V formation kep flashing the red, green, white and sometimes Orange. The strange thing about all of this was when I was recording the hovering lights initially I had no problem getting on tape. When I pulled out my phone to record the V formation and cluster of lights NOTHING would show up on the screen/recording. The V formation gradually appeared to move further back, towards Lake Michigan, very slowly over the next 45-55 minutes. But was still easily visible for a long time after that. One thing we all noticed about the V formation was the bottom two lights on the left kept moving in and out of the formation, from side to side, constantly. It was very strange and fascinating!!!!!

Lansing, MI

About 0400 this am, I woke up to my house shaking. At first I thought we were having an earthquake. Then shortly thereafter, I heard what sounded like video game noises and this huge bright light shown through my bedroom window (despite there being dark curtains). After the bright light, there was this intense heat emitted and I literally felt like I was being burned. The entire episode lasted maybe 2 minutes, at the most, but it was the strangest thing.

Lansing, MI

At approximately 0400 03/20/15, I felt my house shake. At first I thought we were having an earthquake. Following the shaking, sounds similar to video games appeared and this in turn was subsequently followed by a white, bright light and intense heat. The light went through my bedroom window (which has super thick curtains in it) and I felt like it was burning me, similar to how one would feel when sunburned. This sensation lasted maybe 3 minutes after whatever flew by my window had passed. I also felt like g-forces were being pulled down on me as it went overhead.

A ham operator decided to have a look at the "northern lights". Weko Beach, Bridgman, Michigan, offered an excellent view of the northern sky. An excellent photographer this person took a series of relatively high resolution photos of the aurora with his Nikon D7000. Can get probably get the exact camera settings, nomenclature and lens info if you need it. Rough coordinates for the Weko Beach (public) are: 41° 57' N; 86° 45' W. If you like I can get the exact coordinates from a signpost on the beach. As the ham club newsletter editor and friend, the photographer sent me two of several photos taken. They are: DSC_7510.jpg; 8.6mb; 17Mar15, 22:20 local time (EDT). DSC_7525.jpg; 9.1mb; 17Mar15, 22:32 local time (EDT). Zoom

Amateur radio operators are well aware of recent sun spot activity, as it affects short wave communications. "On Tuesday, March 17 a CME struck Earth producing the largest geomagnetic storm of the current solar cycle. Aurora was visible all the way down to the central United States. The planetary A index for the day was 117, an incredibly high number." http://www.arrl.org/news/the-k7ra-solar-update-366 A ham operator decided to have a look at the "northern lights". Reminded me of the Phoenix Lights from a distance. Looking back at 7510, I believe there's a barely visible thin black line in the aurora that I can't explain. BTW, the orange in the foreground seems to be light (perhaps moonlight) as it reflected off of the sand covered ice mounds at the Weko Beach shoreline. The somewhat annoying lights are DC Cook nuclear plant flood lights. Installed after 911, they have destroyed the ambiance of the night-time experience along this part of the Eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Another price we pay for defending against terrorism.

March 17, 2015 · 11:04 AM · CIGAR

Munith, MI

I witnessed a white cigar shaped UFO. There was no noise or no stabilizers. The UFO was approximately 100 feet in length, and flying at an estimated altitude of 3,000 feet at speeds of 300 to 400 mph. The UFO was traveling from from south west to north east horizon.

Marquette, MI

I am a night photographer, and on this particular night was taking long exposure photographs at the beach on the shore of Lake Superior with a friend. We noticed a very bright light hanging motionless and low in the sky over the woods way down the beach, about a mile or two away. I figured it to be a planet, and continued with my shot. When I looked at my exposures on the computer later that night, I noticed that the object had registered a circular, ostensibly autonomous light trail (instead of a clearly defined line that a planet would make as the earth rotates). That is, it moved (or the camera moved) during what amounted to a 4 minute exposure. I am fairly confident that the camera did NOT move, as it was firmly planted into the sand and the shutter controlled with a remote release. Also, there were lights from a few small cabins on the other end of the shore directly below the unidentified object which registered clean and with no evidence of camera shake or movement. When I examined other images of the same scene, the light appears registering different motion but is extremely bright, bright enough to emit a "starburst" effect around the object during the long exposure.

March 2, 2015 · 6:00 PM · FORMATION

Columbus, MI

Hovering over the night sky in Columbus, Michigan. My mother and I were driving to the gas station, when we saw a formation of three bright green orbs in the sky, lined up perfectly diagnally, hovering about a mile in the air. The formation seemed to get brighter and dimmer before it suddenly disappeared. There were a few planes flying towards it, before it disappeared in the night sky. Pictures were taken and are available upon request.

Wayne, MI

The object was a gun metal grey with no visable lights on it. It had what looked like a distortion in the air underneith the object that looks like heat coming off a sidewalk. I could not get a photo of it because of my trying to keep my dog still next to the road and by the time I got my phone out it was gone. Several people in cars at the light at Mi. Ave. must have seen it because they were all looking up in the sky. The object was smooth with no markings of any kind on it as far as I could see in the short time I saw it. I neglected to report it because I didn't want to sound like a kook, but this was no drone because even with no point of perspective I could tell that it was at least the size of a school bus if not larger. I have never seen it again and I have gone back daily to try to get another look at it.

February 25, 2015 · 8:30 PM · CIRCLE

Muskegon, MI

This is the second night in a row same spot over Lake Michigan. I spotted an object that was circular and was reddish orange with a green haze around it. It was dazzily and glitzy, and hovered in the same 100 ft radius, moving slowly left and right, and up and down. Then disappeared. The first written report I made to you guys was the 25th of Feb., the day after the first sighting.

February 23, 2015 · 10:30 PM · OVAL

Sault Ste. Marie, MI

There were 3 oval shapes objects that moved West toward Lake Superior starting from a little East of the Soo Locks. They molved in almost a completely straight line with the last object being slightly to the right of the other 2. They were low in the sky and fairly large. about the size of a dime being held at arm's lenth. They moves swiftly and we lost sight of them in the horizon in approx. 1-2 minutes of following them. We watched the objects move across the sky from the the North end of Lake Superior State Universities campus.

February 15, 2015 · 10:00 PM · LIGHT

Negaunee, MI

My wife and I were in bed during winter of 2015 when, at around 10pm, my son called excited. He said something like “Dad! Look out your window and tell me what you see!!” He was calling from a friend’s home on US 28 perhaps 15 miles away. I got up and looked out the window immediately viewing a large whitish light at about a 45 degree angle to the west. It was large. At one point I held my arm at length and compared the light to the width of my thumb. It as slightly wider and I am 6’ 4” tall with large hands. My son said that his friend’s dad and girlfriend had left for a small mountain closer to the object near Marquette. My son said he and some friends wanted to come to our house to get closer to the object and watch the object. We are up on a high hill a good 200 feet over the surrounding area. I have a 3 rd story tower and went up the stairs to look out to the west. I watched the object while I waited for my son. It stayed in one spot the entire time. ! Eventually my son and a couple of friends arrived. One had a pair of binoculars. They thought it looked not much larger than where they watched it the 15 or so miles back to the East. The light did nothing. Eventually my teen daughter eventually came home from work and came up to the tower. She was immediately shocked by the globe of light. We all watched the light perhaps another hour or so. My wife and step son also joined. I went outside a couple of times to walk down the driveway and to look and listen. It was absolutely silent. It looked like white light but sometimes we thought we could see other colors emitted but, if that was the case, it was very subtle and maybe just an artifact. After watching this thing not move for so long we were suddenly alarmed to realize it was starting to move. It was very slow and steady moving at about the same height off to the west . After a few minutes it reached a ridge line approximately two miles away. Here it stopped. My son was watching with the binoculars. He says excitedly, “Dad...see if you see what I’m seeing” as he handed me the binoculars. I focused on the object and noticed a very small white globe descending from the larger object and moving down at a perfect trajectory at about 45 degrees to the ground. At about half way to the tree tops it abruptly turned the opposite direction to the south as it appeared to drop below the trees. Moments later it returned to the main object! Then the entire object dropped straight down below the back side of the hillside. We all exclaimed “it gone!”. But a moment later it came straight back up to about the same height and began moving to the south where it eventually! disappeared into the distance. People I have told this to say “helicopter”, but there was nothing but silence on a clear starry cold winter night. And I don’t believe my son could have seen something as small as a helicopter miles away that looked nearly the same side when he arrived at my house. The small “probe” that dropped from the main object was the strangest part to me.

The objects had small multi color lights, also with one center light that was white then would get bright and orange as the sun when lit up looked like mini sun in the night sky incredibly bright they moved in patterns. Also moving at speeds impossible of anything known we could fly

We get emergency vehicles by the house, so I know if the lights are theirs, but this affected the lights in the house. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information. PD

January 28, 2015 · 11:50 PM · SPHERE

Columbiaville, MI

Round, apparently spherical in southwest night sky. Brighter and larger than any other object in the sky other than the moon. Pulsating silver, with blue, red, yellow and green streamers floating away from it. Observed with binoculars, it had grid-lines all over the silver area and pulsating colors were more visible.

January 28, 2015 · 10:00 AM · DIAMOND

Chelsea, MI

Seen from Chelsea proving grounds near I94 and M52. Diamond/cone shaped object hovering in place over the trees in the distance. Best guess froma distance to be 20-30 feet tall. Stayed in place for at least 10-15 minutes. Went inside. When returned to check several minutes later, it was gone. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Dexter/Ann Arbor (general area), MI

My husband was driving home from work at about 9:30 am and he told me to go look outside towords Dexter. It's a clear day with not one cloud in the sky, except for some chem trails off in the distance. We saw this black shiny, what looked like an ice cream cone, object with lights and the top half looked like it was rotating. It looked like the object was moving closer and getting bigger, then far away, it was getting smaller. Then it looked like it was starting to land, maybe towords Chelsea. I lost it behind the trees and wasn't able to see it again. I made sure to show my brother-in-law, his girlfriend, my friend from next door and my father-in-law. You could probably see it from I-94 heading west out of Ann Arbor. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Westland, MI

I was sitting looking out ny back door when I seen an object falling from the sky. It then lit up while falling into a really bright blueish white light. It continued to hover and fly fairly low to the ground and made movements I have never seen an aircraft do. It then went back and forth up and down for about 30 seconds. Then went up into a cloud light went off. Then it flashed in the cloud, then never seen again. It was the most thrilling thing I have ever seen in my life.

Eaton rapids, MI

I was driving home from work heading south from Lansing to eaton rapids. I looked over towards Orion's Belt and roughly 30 degrees to the left of the Orion constellation I seen a colorful light blinking blue, green, red and maybe amber. I see this same light frequently. From my front door facing west I seem the light about 40 degrees to my left. I went inside to get my phone and Try to record it. I was inside for approximately 15 seconds. I returned to my porch and it had moved to directly in front of me. It was very far away so it had to have covered a great distance in that shot Period of time. Unfortunately, I didn't get to physically see it travel, although I am certain it was the same object I had just observed with my wife. 15 seconds prior to the movement. I then watched it slowly travel a distance of roughly 10 degrees to my right in a period of 15 minutes before it blinked out. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides little contact information. PD

January 22, 2015 · 7:50 PM · CONE

Williamsburg, MI

I was driving East on M72 W in Grand Traverse County, MI, just past a casino with a lot of lights. I drive this stretch daily/nightly. I saw on the right hand side/south side of the road, in the sky, three sets of lights. They were all red & green. One set of lights was off to the left more and the other two sets were closer together, flashing. I actually couldnt see anything but the lights, so I didn't see a craft. It didnt appear to be too far into the sky. As I got closer, trying not to crash & too afraid to pull over, It seemed that the set of lights closest to me continued to flash & the other two were just green, no red seen at the point of passing it. The light werent in a straight line. I was wondering if the craft, if it was, was attracted to the lights of the casino?
