Muskegon, MI

Exited rear of workplace and looked up to see a large, white, very bright light traveling fairly low and very fast. Cloud ceiling was 12,000 ft this evening and no stars visible. Object made no sound that I could hear. After traveling in a straight line from NE to SW it went at a sharp downward angle and disappeared from view. My first thought was helicopter, but if it were, it would have crashed into the ground. And it was moving way too fast to be the State Police helicopter that is familiar to our area. Watched meteor shower for several hours just two nights prior to this, and this was no meteor. Drone, plane, helicopter? I don't know, but I've never seen anything like it.

August 15, 2015 · 10:00 PM · FIREBALL

Romeo, MI

A fireball was sitting in place behind a tree line for 20+ minutes. After this it disappeared without us noticing. Following this 12+ crafts were seen high in the sky crosshatching in their pattern. After this, one craft shot what looked like a bright green flat down into the forest behind the tree line. The group of us grabbed weapons, and then there was a loud mechanical roar that sounded like a mechanical Lion from the forest along with the sound of breaking branches. We then ran inside for safety. Following this all traces disappeared. All parties corroborated the same experience.

Fremont, MI

Multiple lighted objects (red lights) in large group (15 to 20) moving east to west in night sky heading toward local airport. All disappeared into 'nowhere' one at a time before they reached the airport or the beacon light at the airport. Airport was empty with no incoming or outgoing planes. Very rural area. It was hard to judge the speed and determine the distance, but we believe they were within 5 miles from where we were standing.

August 5, 2015 · 12:30 AM · LIGHT

Westland, MI

The object was moving at the same speed of a passenger plane slowing to prepare for landing. The object was moving southeast at a steady speed, then straightened to due east, then turned northeast. No sound and even flew near a passenger plane...possibly under the plane's path. We just saw the same thing tonight as we waited to watch the International SpacebStation fly over at 9:00pm. So, within 21 hours, we saw two "orb UFOs" and the ISS. Great day. My location has been a bit of a hot spot for UFO sightings. Many people in our zip code area has seen tbe same things.

August 4, 2015 · 6:27 PM · RECTANGLE

Croswell, MI

It was rectangular in shape and may have had lights on the side. I imagine it was pretty big by the size of it. After it took off I got into my car but when I looked at the time it was 7:00pm. I felt as if I only saw it for a minute, but I had some how lost a half hour of time. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he sounded to us to be quite eloquent and sober-minded. We suspect that he is a highly reliable witness. PD

August 1, 2015 · 10:00 PM · LIGHT

North Central Upper Peninsula, MI

Location was east of Munising, and north of Shingleton, in the north central Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Duration was approximately 7 minutes. At about 10 pm Eastern I went outside in an open area with my two dogs to watch the full moon rise in the east above the spruce trees in the distance. As I turned to the north I was startled to see a surprisingly bright object flashing extremely brilliant red and white lights. The lights were much, much larger than any star, a satellite, or the lights of an aircraft, so much so that my mouth literally dropped. It was approaching me, silently, and gave me the impression of slowly floating. I have no knowledge of the altitude. I will describe the red color as attractive, pleasing, not fire-engine red nor candy-apple red, a cool-ish red but not pink. The red color was more dominant than the white lights. As I watched it drift closer, I was stunned at how beautiful it was and I was riveted looking at it. My Sheltie at my side did not agree. She barked at the bright lights and then she and my Border Collie ran for the door, wanting to be let inside. I was wearing on my forehead a Petzl headlamp on the highest beam and I decided to switch it off. The object gently turned in a southeastern direction, still gliding silently. I had my little palm-sized Fuji camera with me (since I had planned to take some pictures of baby toads) so I attempted to take a short video of the object as it moved southeasterly. I saw there was a faint, quite dim, white light following the red-white flashing object. If I were to hold my hand straight out, the distance between the red-white object and the following white light would be about one of my hands across. As I was watching it, somebody suddenly "turned out the lights"--and it was gone! The dim light that had been following I could see for another 3 or 4 seconds, until it too disappeared. The geography the object had to have come from is Lake Superior and then over wilderness northern forest with very little to no population. My sad attempt at a video turned out to show only a difficult-to-see, pin-point, red flashing light, so like others I have viewed on YouTube. I will add that I took a college course in astronomy years ago and I enjoy the night sky, so I am not a stranger to planets and constellations, various satellites, Iridium satellite flares, nighttime aircraft, and so forth. This experience was unique. ((ADDENDUM FROM SOURCE OF ORIGINAL REPORT)) If I may, I would like to add some information to my report of August 1, 2015. I did not originally write it into my experience thinking it was too fantastic to be believed and also leaving out my personal feelings at the sighting. But it has bothered me consistently since. If you judge the following to be important facts, please do include it in my report, editing however you consider best. I apologize for adding inconvenience to your already heavy workload. My report was submitted, and has been posted, as: 8/1/15 22:00 North Central Upper Peninsula MI Light 7 minutes Intensely bright, red-and-white flashing, silent, slowly moving object. The object appeared to be composed of multiple splendid glittering, shimmering lights cascading and independently moving, which also gave it a vertical oval shape. None of the lights fell to the ground. My distinct impression was that its intent was to be noticed (and how could anyone not?). I clicked off my Petzl light because I myself wanted to avoid being noticed. ((END ADDENDUM))

July 25, 2015 · 11:00 PM · LIGHT

Muskegon, MI

At approximately 23:00, on the night of 7/25/2015, members of my family and I were on the front porch of our home. I was seated in such a way that I could see a large area of the night sky. Suddenly, as I watched a satellite passing in a northerly direction, there was a large, bright flash in the total darkness of the sky. I commented on it, and it happened again about five seconds later. At that time, three of my sons came off of the porch and proceeded to watch the sky where I indicated. Almost immediately, there was another bright flash which was followed again by a bright flash approximately fifteen seconds later. There were a total of four flashes, with me seeing all four, and my sons seeing two of them. The light appeared to be uniformly round, very bright in comparison to the surrounding stars, and somewhat larger than the largest, brightest stars or planets that we customarily see in the night sky. The object seemed to have moved a distance equivalent to holding a dollar bill sideways at arm's length (approximately 2 to 2 1/2 inches). There were no aircraft in the immediate vicinity, and the light did not flash or pulse like those of any aircraft that I have ever seen. Simply put, what we saw was a light which appeared out of nowhere, flashed brightly four times in no apparent pattern, and stopped flashing. We have watched satellites and aircraft in the night sky for years, and none of us has ever seen anything like what we witnessed last night. The light was spotted at approximately 75 degrees, directly north from our position.

Portage, MI

On the 24th of July, at approximately 10pm, I saw a light very much like this one: https://www.facebook.com/david.almestica.92/videos/410474715809947/ It was bright, like a planet. It moved slowly from Northeast to Southeast. I watched as it stopped, grew brighter and bigger. Then it split into two and the lights moved quickly to the north. The whole event lasted about 5 min. It was the weirdest thing. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

July 21, 2015 · 10:20 PM · FIREBALL

Detroit, MI

Looking south towards downtown Detroit and the river that divides Detroit from Windsor in Canada (standing about a mile and a half from downtown and the river), I saw a single fire colored roundish object between me and the river. It first appeared to be still, but then I may have been adjusting to 'this is not a small plane, where are its lights?' Maybe it was moving, but slowly. In general it was moving east parallel to the river. It might have made a 'adjustments' in its movement a couple times. Slight right turns toward the river. Its movement was not always steady or at the same (slow) speed. Clear night with some wispy white clouds. After watching it just a few minutes it disappeared into a cloud. Don't know how long it had been there before I came out at 10:20. Its height or size was that of a small plane flying at the top altitude allowed by small planes over a city. Not the lower altitude at which a plane flying over a baseball game might be. A neighbor was able to see it without their glasses. I searched this description, and found a lot of images matching what I saw. The colors of fire. Not a single spectrum red or orange light. There was nothing else in the sky. Quiet. No planes, large or small, or helicopters.

Allegan, MI

On 7/18/15 at around 10:00 P.M., I was at my residence, facing west, when I saw a crescent moon in the sky and a star to the right of it. I thought at that time it would make a nice photo so I went in my house and got my cell phone to take a picture. As I was taking the photo I noticed a bright oval shaped object crossing the horizon at a very high rate of speed. For the very short time I observed the object it showed no sign that it was heading toward the surface it stayed on a horizontal path. When I checked my cell phone I discovered that it had caught the image.

July 17, 2015 · 11:20 PM · FIREBALL

Gladstone, MI

On July 17th, 2015, at 23:00 I was out for a bike ride. Upon riding down a dead end street at about 23:20, I could see a truck shining a bright halogen spot light up into the sky, as they were bringing attention to something. There were 6 residents pointing up in the sky. I noticed they were pointing at a red/orange fireball moving up from the ground up into the sky about 2.5 miles away. I rode my bike back one block and went down a dark, dirt path in a undeveloped part of town, where there were no background lights, completely pitch black. This area has no obstructions and overlooks a inlet of Lake Michigan. I climbed up on a sugar sand hill. I saw 1 orange/red round fireball climb up from, what we local residents call “The Bluff” a 200ft elevation change on the west side of the city. The fireball climbed to approx. 500ft, it then started forward motion and began a huge sweeping left hand turn out over Little Bay De Noc. After moving across the water, it gently faded out and disappeared. As soon as it was dimming out of sight, I noticed 2 more rising up 1 after another, from the same location as the first one. They 2 made the same sweeping turn at about 1500ft to 1800ft. I have flown in a Cessna around this area before. At one point there were 4 flying. Although they flew the same circuit, it was not the exact speed every time. There were some small variations. This continued for at least 20 minutes. I was quite interested in watching this, as this was not my first time observing these fireballs. Last summer I had a much closer sighting. This being my second sighting I was not so shocked to see the fireballs, this time I took more time to get a description of them. As I squinted at them, they appeared to have a central upside down “V” with 2 round points at the bottom of them. They have a bizarre flickering effect, almost like the “licking of flames, from a fire” with the “V” in the middle. They seem to pulse between red to yellow. Both elements put together, it looks like a cross between a bright filament in a clear light bulb and someone puffing a cigarette at night, a very smooth red/orange/yellow pulse. After spending 8 years in the military, I have been around both F-16 fighters and numerous helicopters. These things are absolutely silent, no distant “JUH,JUH,JUH or ROARS” at a 2.5 mile distance. I can determine a few things, these are not: fireworks helicopters private planes commercial planes helium type “Fire Lamps” RC planes / 4 blade RC drones, to far away to control by radio. They just have too much speed, and the point of origin that they start from. With everything going on in the country, they might be some type of testing of new observation platforms that we don’t know about.

July 15, 2015 · 1:00 AM · TRIANGLE

Saginaw Township, MI

On a pleasant summer evening in Saginaw Township Michigan 3 of us in two different locations1ere observing meteor showers which were supposed to be quite evident forcasted by NASA. Two of us were former law enforcement trained observers. My brother in Thomas Township southwest of our location was first to notice the objects while on the phone shouted what is that? There is something coming your way but could not describe it. Shortly after 2 of us clearly spoted these 2 Triangle designed craft that were enormous in size flying from the south west to a north east direction. The objects were metaltic, they emitted no light what so ever. They made no sound at all. It struck me as the objects were very far out of our atmosphere but yet so large they were clearly visible as if flying right overhead. We observed first one of the craft followed by a second craft both turned into a northern location once they had crossed the plane of our house. The craft moved at amaz! ing speed faster then any modern military aircraft I have witnessed such as F16 or F15 fighter jets. I will never forget this observation as long as I live. I am still in amazement what each of us observed. We do not believe in UFO or Alien Spacecraft yet we know what we saw, was not man made. It was impossible to be any kind of optical illusion or fanstom sighting. All I can visualize is these two gigantic space crafts again seemingly high in space yet so large they seemed to be flying just overhead as low cloud height. Very difficult to describe to anyone as to reference to size and distance. Following the incident we were all amazed but what could we do about it call 911? What will they do about it? Nothing. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

July 15, 2015 · 12:10 AM · TRIANGLE

Gladwin, MI

My friend and had just stepped out in his driveway to look at what had suddenly become a beautiful, clear, starlit sky. We had seen two satellites and three shooting stars and were scanning the sky to the west, when about 1/3rd of the way between the horizon and directly overhead, towards WSW, a bright white light suddenly appeared, grew in brightness and size while stationary over the course of 5-10 seconds, flared briefly and with a small trail behind it, began to speed off to the WNW, not extremely fast, but faster than an jet aircraft at that height would have… The trail lasted only a second or two, and it turned into a bright dot that faded as it headed away, we watched it for 20-30 seconds as it faded out. Dogs across the street started barking at the same time and continued to do so for several minutes after the event.

Clinton, MI

From the town of Tecumseh, MI, one can look Northwest to the skies over neighboring town of Clinton, MI, and on a nightly basis just around dark (Occasionally earlier while still light) 2 bright white lights appear in the sky. Both are similar to stars but much closer to the ground, Both change shape, color and location multiple times during each sighting. When observed thru Binoculars the light is too bright to make out anything particular, however appears to be a spherical object attached that waves in the wind like a piece of cloth. I'm sure it's just a weather balloon or navigational beacon, but I can find anyone else who can confirm this. There is Commercial aircraft, Cloud Seeding Aircraft and small recreational sky diving Aircraft in this area as well. Any information would be appreciated.

Detroit, MI

I take pictures on my lunch break at the Detroit River with my phone. I'm usually at Hart Plaza which sits on the river front directly across from Windsor, Canada. Back then I took burst shots. Didn't notice until later that day that I had captured a square like object floating above the river on the Canadian side. It flashed different colors and glyphs on a split screen like monitor on its face.It had weird protusions around the sides of it. I have recovered video of it which is not as sharp as the original and close ups. If I remember right, google photos turned the burst images into a video. Source of report indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

Oscoda/Greenbush/Harrisville, MI

Sunday night, July 5th, 2015, we were heading north on Highway 23 through Oscoda toward Harrisville. My son & I pulled over into a parking lot, somewhere between 10 & 10:30 P.M., to watch the last of fireworks we could see going off over Lake Huron. While watching fireworks, we noticed a bright light/orange ball in the sky, heading toward us & northward, going very steady, not too fast, but parallel along Hwy 23 (it was basically between us in the parking lot, & the road, as it went over/past us). We had our windows rolled down, & though there were some fireworks noise, we didn't hear any noise from this orange object, though it went over/past us. After the fireworks ended, we got back on Hwy 23 heading north. In about 5 miles, suddenly the orange glowing ball came from the east (which was Lake Huron side), & crossed the road ahead of us, flying west. Then, two more came across, closer together. A fourth one was back some distance, following the other 3. We didn't see what the first ball did, but the 2nd & 3rd, after crossing the Highway a short distance, & where we could still see them above the trees, started to slow & then hover. They waited until the 4th orange ball caught up & joined them. The number 2 orange ball was in front, number 3 on the right, & number 4 took up the left side, so they formed a “V” & then they continued by going northwest. We had pulled over on the shoulder, & had our windows rolled down some. NO noise was heard, & also, all of these flying orange light balls did a bit of pulsing in brightness, getting a bit brighter & then dimmer as they went along. There were NO red, green or white lights whatsoever, nor any blinking lights. We would love to know what these things are; if top secret military I guess we won't ever be told, but we'd love to have an answer as to what looks like these for night flying & can do this sort of thing. Couldn't be planes, balloons, or helicopters (would have heard the noise on those).

I went out to my backyard to see if i could see some of the nearby fireworks when i noticed something else in the sky. Coming from the western side of the sky and heading east was a bright orange object. My first thought was that someone lit off a big fireworks rocket and it was going to go off in my full view. But it just kept coasting across the sky on a straight horizontal line. As it got above me, I saw that it was actually 2 orange spheres - like they were joined together. It almost appeared like they were on fire, but there was no visible trail left behind, as it moved silently east and out of sight behind some trees. It was moving fairly fast - the whole sighting lasted under 10 seconds.
