I was in the car headed home from Christmas shopping with my mother in law and my two-year-old son. We were on the road that I live on and it happens to be a back road. I rounded a corner and there was a deer in the road so I slowed down to a stop. As we crested the hill and started to speed up I noticed an object in the sky on the passenger side of the vehicle, I pointed to it and noted that it looked like a planet (big and bright) but it was far too big. It stayed stationary and we pointed it out to my son, but at a certain point my mother in law noted that it appeared to be getting bigger and moving closer to us. Seconds later it was near us and we acknowledged that it was a round object with white/yellow lights and a red light on the bottom. I slowed down to look at it and by then it was huge and close to the car. It was still round, but I noticed three white/yellow lights in a circular shape with a large red light in the center. It hovered over the treetops and by then it was huge, larger than my car. I got nervous and decided to start driving again and as I started to move it moved to the other side of the road and disappeared. My mother in law and I were stunned and couldn’t believe what we had seen, it was the strangest thing we had ever seen. We talked about it the day after it happened and recalled that while it was large and right over top of us we never once heard any noise, and the radio was off (we had been talking). The sheer size of the object in comparison to our car was also something that we noted as well as the lights lighting up the inside of our car briefly while it was over us. The entire encounter lasted right around 2-3 minutes and the incident occurred 2 miles from where we live.

On November 14th. With my son, I called out to him as I saw 8 orange moving dots in two sets of four. These were two groups of orange colored lights about 8 to 10,000 feet and maybe 10 miles away. The two groups were running in unison and were maybe 1500 yards apart – their movement appeared synchronized as the lights moved parallel to the earth’s surface. I watched them for 20 to 30 seconds and my son saw the tail end of the lights. The lights all dipped together and then simultaneously disappeared.

Solid white/blue speck of light seen flying in the sky while driving on route 87. The light smoothly flew at a fast speed, then suddenly changed directly (90 degree like angle), and accelerated suddenly away at an incredible speed. The acceleration made it seem the light was an object that "beamed away" (left a quick trail). The sky was very clear that early evening, with very little clouds and an overall clear night sky. 1 light/object was observed by 2 people in the car. We thought it was a shooting star, but realized it was in the sky too long, and the light was bright and consistently bright. I was driving a shuttle for the local transit company, when I saw a very large orange-red spherical object emerge from the clouds, dipping down in a swerving fashion towards the north, then north east. It was going far too fast to be an airplane, drone or helicopter. Far too big too. When it turned east, it stopped in the air completely and I could then see a blinking light. The way it maneuvered, it could not have been any traditional craft. It was very cloudy and dark outside, but the craft could clearly be seen as I described, and if the clouds were about 4600 feet, the craft appeared to be the size of a tennis ball from where I was sitting inside the shuttle, meaning it was massive in size. The shuttle has outside cameras, and I can provide the shuttle # and make if the transit company if you would like to request the video. I can say for a fact, this was not an airplane, helicopter, drone, or any traditional craft, or anything that can be explained. The maneuvering and speed was just way too out of our league. I can't get the image of how it emerged from the clouds as it swooped down in a wavy pattern, then darted up, then stopped. When it stopped and the light started flashing, it appeared to be merging with another craft and made appeared in a diamond shape with some kind of value or haze between them. It truly reminded me of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

This particular light stuck out though, yellowish beam dead center over the ocean in the sky sort of growing in brightness to the scale of a small circle you would make with your pointer tucked into your thumb. The strange thing was that it was sort of still in space. As we kept an eye on it at one moment it diminished to the point of seemingly being gone before reappearing again. We watched it alone for about 10 minutes maybe before our friends walked back and joined us. They had also now seen this said light. I don’t believe we pointed it out to them. At the time we were still unclear if it was anything worth chatting about. That said we were all now focused on it. Around this point, the beam was no longer fading away, only getting stronger. It remained around the same size, but now it was lighting up the ocean as though it were the moon. We were all mesmerized as to how an airplane in the sky would be so bright as to light up the ocean like the moon. Here is where it gets wild. Suddenly this beam just came at us or to us like the snap of your finger. It was no longer lingering and just came to us. I didn't hear any sound of a ship. It was almost like a ship coming that appeared now appeared dually as a drone like object. It is though to describe because I have never seen anything like this. I will try my best. As this ship came at us a drone seemingly came down, but the drone in my eyes was only visible in the moment the ship was crossing over us, almost like it was in two places at once. For me it appeared as a vertical infinity sign without the bottom loop closed, silvery, shimmery, and almost like a glimmer. It looked like it came down and scanned us or looked at us. I thought it was maybe 15-20 feet away but a friend of mine said 100. To me it seemed extremely close and as it came to us and the ship was passing the aircraft did this magical thing where it turned into something like a shiny silvery stick figure of lights on the ship that lit up as it crossed over us making a walking stick figure light show. It was all very overwhelming. It is hard to say if it controlled our emotion (full elation) or if we were just all in awe of what was happening which is also likely. 5 people who all use a phone regularly didn't even think to pull our phones out. We were completely awestruck at its visiting us. I almost think we scared it away in our excitement. As the now certainly UFO passed us, we all watched as within seconds it passed and was now over Long Island. I specifically remember now it was a red light we were following upon crossing us and passing. I also remember as we watched it go away to Long Island it than made a left as if to turn around and then simply stopped and hung still. Now a red beam over Long island that we were all watching. I don’t recall what happened to it, if it disappeared or if we started looking for more… You have to understand how overwhelming this was. We were in shock and maybe not making best decisions (of course now we all wish we took pics). We spent awhile after this searching for maybe another ship because a friend of ours who grew up on Long Island and frequented Fire Island throughout her life had described a similar sighting to another friend with us prior to our witnessing this event. Her sighting was not nearly as close as this one though. So now there we are thinking maybe we can get another one to come. Also I don’t know if its vain to think we lulled it in, but my partner had given everyone a flashlight which we had been shining at the ocean in random order just for fun not thinking anything of it. Also at the beginning when it was just him and I he spotted it and was whispering to me saying it likes me … he sensed that it was gonna come to us. He may have even said watch, it likes me as it zero’d in on us. Ok to back track a bit. This half infinity like glimmer, drone, orb, but was nothing like anything I have ever seen with my own eyes. I am doing my best to relay my memory to paper. It is possible it controlled our emotion. That's really it. It was a slow build, and than it happened so fast. It didn't move like an airplane or in any earthly way for that matter. It moved in its own space and time. I am not certain my friends witnessed the part where the ship above seemingly lit up in a stick figure dancing bye light show while passing. I will try and get them to write their experience as well. I hope one or two of them are willing. Thank you for your time! Watch Hill is closed until next summer. I freaking wish I could be back their right now to keep an eye out. Oh, also we had a dog with us that was super spooked after the event. Its owner said it never acted that way before. The dog tried to stop us from walking home by jumping at sand pulling us back as well as going in front of us as if to say do not walk this way.

After watching it for 20 seconds or so the object did a 180 degree turn and headed East. There was no flare or flash – the thing turned on a dime and went back the way it was going ….after another 10 seconds it was gone. Source of report indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

I was looking out my window facing the west in my dorm. There were no airplanes in sight, and a break in the clouds. I then saw in the sky a brief flash of white light, followed by it disappearing, with a streak following it as it accelerated north for about three seconds.

I was driving from East Pembroke to Batavia on Main street. Black, triangular craft flew overhead towards Batavia. Flashing white lights on back, flashing red light in center. Roughly the size of a car or perhaps up to the size of a jet. Tilted on its left axis. Moving left and right. Flew past a second stationary white object not moving at all. The triangle was moving very slowly. It was too slow to be a jet, too quiet to be a plane, too big to be a drone. Also did not look like a plane. If anything it looked like a huge drone. We saw 10+ lights in the sky that night and there were 2 that were particularly weird. We got to our friends house in Batavia and I texted a friend about it. My friend then sent me a few pictures of the same object witnessed by a friend of his. I saw it, my girlfriend saw it, and my girlfriends mom saw it while we were in the car and all agreed it was really weird. Then my friends friend who I don't even know saw it and took pictures. The friend of a friend also stated that the object's lights were changing colors in front of them which was backed up by the fact that the picture they sent had 1 green and 1 pink light on the back. The red light in the center was still the same color though, and we're 99% sure it had to be the same object. Shortly after, we heard a helicopter heading towards its location, but didn't get a look at it. We also saw multiple other suspicious objects that night, but nothing un-explainable the way that one was.

I saw two orange lights hovering in the sky with a helicopter somewhat near them. I can say from experience it was not an airplane or any sort of fireworks. The helicopter seemed to be on approach or circling them but I couldn’t tell as I had to turn after the red light turned green.

I was waiting on the side of the highway for a ride from a friend. It was a cloudy dreary day and I look up and see something huge slowly moving between the clouds. I couldn't make out what shape it was but it was longer than it was wide. Similar to a football field. It was almost the same color as a rain cloud. The craft ended up over Connecticut hill towards Watkins Glen, NY.

Viewing location: University at Albany. As I entered East University Drive from a parking lot, I noticed two lights on the horizon to the south of my position which I assumed to be an incoming flight to Albany International Airport. However, this was west of the typical flight paths that I often observed, and it appeared to be dropping illuminated objects. Suspecting this to be an aircraft in distress, I quickly drove into the football stadium parking lot for a better look. By this time it was almost about to pass me, but then I observed that each illuminated object was separated and moving in tandem. The second object continued to drop illuminated objects at intervals. These were silent. Fortunately, I captured the objects (and another drop of illuminated objects) via iPhone 8 video as they were passing me and heading north. The treeline can be seen with a bright monitor, as well as the corner of SEFCU Arena at the end of the video. Puzzled by what I had witnessed, I enlarged one of the objects with my video editing program — but it's just as mysterious. A Times Union city desk editor called a spokesperson at the airport to inquire about craft in the area on this date and time. Two weeks later, the contact responded the airport had no information about these objects in its airspace. Because the objects were to my right (heading north), I would estimate them to be traveling over part of Guilderland — which borders Albany. One of the Times Union's reporters contacted a professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy for assistance, but he was too busy last spring. So, I'm filing the report here. I have drawn maps that illustrate the path — which may be helpful, too.

A friend arrived to drop off some donations to add to what was already in my truck so I could drop them off, while loading the items, I caught an odd reflection in the trucks side mirror that prompted me to look up, I observed a stationary triangle in the sky about 45 degrees from the horizon in a westerly direction from where we were standing, I told my friend to look at it as I retrieved my binoculars from the truck, we both got a good look at it and observed red, orange, blue and green lights that flashed around the perimeter of the craft, from where we were standing I would estimate it was over Lake Erie and about three times the size of jet aircraft I regularly see on approach to Buffalo airport but outside of their approach paths. As we were looking at it and debating as to getting out my telescope,it started to glow orange and disappeared from sight, I believe it just shot straight up but it happened in less than a blink of an eye. We cannot be the only ones that saw this thing as it was a beautiful warm clear night, especially for October.
