It then quickly jetted to the left and lifted straight up in the sky. I have noticed this object for months but never seen it move that fast in an opposite direction . I observed an object from my window at around 3am on Monday, Dec. 7th, 2015. There were bright lights that glowed in and out and the object stayed there for a good hour and moved around. I watched it for a while. Then I came back and it had vanished. Possible sighting of a planet in the E sky? PD

Sighted V-shaped object flying Southwest to southeast at 18:15hr with orange lights, not blinking, going down both sides. No sound, but it was south of town, low on the horizon.

My son was outside the house from putting up a couple Christmas decorations, when I heard him yelling for me to come out. He sounded like something was wrong. As I walked out onto the front stairs he said; "They went off !!". He told the lit objects turned off as I came out. I stood there looking where he said they were. Directly above the house, in the clouds. There wasn't anything that I could see, so I went back inside. No sooner did I sit back down, when he started yelling for me to come outside again. Looked up this time, and I could not believe what I was seeing! It looked like 2 huge objects in the clouds, that had 5-8 cross shaped objects shooting back and forth between them. The cross shaped objects had a white illumination to them. The 2 huge objects also had a white illumination to them. The smaller objects were shooting back and forth between the huge objects with incredible speed. This went on for about a minute. Then, they all went ! out. Like someone flicked a switch. Of course by the time we got a chance to get our phone for a picture, or video……..it was gone. My son told me later that he shined his laser at them when this was happening, and they slowed down. Then they would speed up again. This is crazy !!

We live in the south suburb of Blue Island, my wife called me to the porch to view a low flying, cross shaped, "aircraft" (~19:30) with bright solid red light ... coming from the south and heading northeast toward the Chicago loop, or over Lake Michigan area. The craft made no sound - flying is a straight line ... probably about a house length or two apart with exception of the last three that came over ~ 5 minutes later. The last one appeared to circle back to go south . I recorded the flyover on my Samsung ... rather blurry images.

I was driving east down route 72. I began my commute around 5:10 pm. On the horizon I noted an extraordinary amount of “stars.” Upon further thought, I dismissed them as planets as they seemed much too bright to be stars. There was a cluster of three directly ahead of me. When I looked to the left and right of them, I noted an unusual amount of points of light. I thought it was peculiar. One of the points of light, my so called “planet,” shot straight north. That is when I told myself, “Oh. That’s no planet. Planets don’t do that.” Suddenly, the entire sky was nearly pitch-black. The sunset had completed itself though it seemed faster than normal. I began watching the sky after I saw the “planet” shoot north. I saw a flying object, triangular in shape. It had light on the three points (red and white). The lights were solid and then they began to flash, almost mimicking an airplane. Then another object appeared. I had stopped at the red light at the intersection of 72 and 47, headed east, towards Elgin, Illinois. At the light, I starred at the sky and kept watching the flying objects. Once I cleared the stoplight, I pulled over the side of the road, slightly pass the John Deere place. I exited my vehicle and looked at the night sky. Some of the flying objects looked like airplanes, some were triangular and unfamiliar to me. Some made airplane noises, some were silent. I took out my cell phone to record footage but the quality is much too poor. I put my phone away and decided to watch for a bit. Some of the flying objects seemed to be flying in harmony—it almost looked like they were communicating. All the vehicles were flying at different heights. I looked at one of the triangles, one closes to the ground, and I thought to myself, “Come closer,” and almost instantly the vehicle came closer, hovered above me and my car and then flew off. Its lights were off and it felt like I was being watched. I cannot say how far off the ground it was. My highest count at any given moment was 14 flying objects—some airplanes, some unknown. I got back into my car and drove into South Elgin, Illinois. I stopped at a store on Randall Road. When I exited my car in the parking lot, I checked out the sky and noted only 4 flying vehicles. Three were definitely airplanes and the other was too far away to say. I told my friend of the encounter and she said she and her mother witnessed it, too, near their home in Kirkland, IL.

Noticed out of west facing window multiple bright lights passing low across the sky from north to south. Some would be alone, while they often appeared in clusters. They were moving more or less horizontally, but did not follow the same path and were not always parallel to each other and would sometimes change direction slightly and angle up or down. They did not flame out like a meteor, but remained bright and visible until out of sight. They were at various altitudes though all were relatively low on horizon. Couldn't be sunlight reflected off objects as there was heavy cloud cover and sun was not high enough to reach them at that distance in the west.

I have seen this pale orange color light on two other occasions in the same basic area in the October/November timeframes only this time it was at the top of the tree line and crossing over the road I was on. As it got closer to my car I could vaguely see underneath it. It had either blue or green lights on the left and right of the orange ball and underneath it was dark colored. It did not appear to have any landing gear or anything. It didn’t look like any type of aircraft I had ever seen before so it is hard to describe it. I could not tell the overall shape of it because of the dark color in the dark sky. I did not hear any noises from it and did not see any obvious wings or propellers. It went slowly over the top of my car and then disappeared. It was in the Northwest sky this time but has previously been Northeast. This time it seemed like it was within 50-100 ft of the ground. If I see it again I will try to get a picture.

Me and two other family members saw 7 orange light balls flying over our local park and storage unit facility. Then they flew over the airport and disapeared out of are sight. Over Palos Park, IL, Nov 13, 2015 around midnight. Southeast sky, about 40 degrees above horizon, but very far away. Looks like a small cluster of 2 - 4 stars that change color and position but stay very close to each other. At first we thought it was a plane very high up, but it was not moving relative to landmarks. Could it be a star cluster, galaxy or a UFO?

November 13th, 930pm. It was a crystal clear evening with very little moonlight. I was standing out on my deck looking at the stars as I often do. Something caught my eye to the West. At first I thought it was a satellite. This was very high altitude. I then noticed that there were two soft glowing lights, one on each end of a rectangular shape. The shape had a slight curve toward the middle of both the front and back. It was traveling North to South. It also seemed to have a swirling bluish green glow moving in a random pattern all over the shape. I have viewed many satellites, the ISS and aircraft of all kinds. I have never seen anything moving this quickly across the sky. I would guess on average, a satellite would take 45 seconds to a minute to cross through my vision of sight. When i first saw the light i thought it was a unusual looking star, It was very high in the sky, after about 30 seconds the light started moving very quickly and had two red lights on opposite ends, in a matter of seconds it traveled west almost out of view and then almost instantly returned to its original location, i thought at first maybe it was a helicopter because of the way it was moving in all directions but it was far too high and fast to be a helicopter. i called the local police who transfered me to 911 distpatch and he was not able to tell me if anyone else had reported it but i know other people had to have seen this thing because it was visible from probably anywhere in schaumburg and it was very noticeable. I also took a picture with my phone, just looks like a light but when you soom you can see what looks like a horseshoe shape. Never been a UFO believer until last night because whatever it is i saw is not like anything i have ever seen befor! e and 100% positive it was not a plane or copter, there was actually a plane that flew under it at one point, the light was much much higher than the plane.

Witnessed 8-10 stationary bright UFOs appear then disappear, amazing. Was able to capture a photograph of it. People said they were able to see this phenomenon from Illinois to Ohio.

A friend and I were driving down Annie Glidden in DeKalb, when we saw a colorful beam of light flash in the sky. Immediately we wondered if it was a shooting star, but it shot downwards in the sky, not up. Neither of us could come up with a logical explanation. It was a strange thing.

Driving South on the 700 block of Regal Lane my daughter and I saw at least 6 orange lights floating across the sky traveling North North East. They started to dim with the exception of one that stayed lit for a minute or so longer than the others.

I was in the drive thru at the second window at Burger King waiting for my order. I saw a helicopter with a red blinking light following a small white light that wasn't blinking going over 95th St. It looked to be going towards the town Crestwood. This is the second time I have seen this. The last time I have seen this I reported it on May 8, 2012. I could hear the helicopter this time. It looked like as if the white small non blinking light was about 2 helicopters ahead of the helicopter. It was right on it's tail. I would of gone after it to try to see more but I was waiting for my order. I also saw a helicopter before going to Burger King with a Red blinking light and it had it spot light pointing down. Standing in backyard with my dog and saw what appeared to be a green fireball with a red tail jet through the sky!!! Traveled east to west...it was awesome!!!

In the western sky, just after sunset, a bright lime green circular orb jettisoned into the sky at a rapid speed. It then sped in a horizontal direction across the sky, sometimes changing colors to a bright red. At other times, it would hover in one spot. Eventually it completely disappeared. About 3 minutes later, it approached the same area in the sky, but this time it came speeding from the south. It was flying both in a horizontal and vertical pattern at rapid speeds, all the time changing from bright red to lime green. Although this seems like it could be the red and green lights of any plane, the formation it moved and the color it changed were unlike a plane. Again, it would just hover at certain times and eventually it disappeared. While continuing to watch, a bright white light came out of the south. This appeared to be plane, as we have planes flying to Midway or O'Hare nightly. However this plane came speeding to the same area of the sky, circled the exact location of the changing orb and then sped off to the north.

These same fleet keep appearing in two separate ocassions,twice around nuclear plant in Byron Illinois, and in dixon il, on route 2..today my daughter and I pulled vehicle over to watch them, their eradicate behaviors. Moving in a formation with one another..was so frightening we had to stop now see with our own eyes at a stand point..this has been going on a lot here in last month, I'm to a point I don't want to create histeria..becoming to be fearful something is going to come of this, last week had 4 witnesses in car now stopped and observed the ones by nuclear plant..they were huge crafts with lights all around them..
