I woke up because my cat was meowing at the window. I told her to be quiet, but she just kept on meowing, so I opened my eyes. I looked out of my window to see what the cat was meowing at thinking it must be a box elder bug on the glass or something, but instead I saw a big green oval of light. I live in a high rise building and can see Council Crest and the eastern side of West Hills from my apartment. I can make out the houses and features of this part of West Hills well. I could see a big green oval of light in the sky. It seemed to be moving slower than a plane or helicopter, and seemed to be silent. I put on my glasses so I could see it better out of curiosity and when I realized it wasn’t a plane or helicopter, I ran out of bed over to the window to get a better look. I saw the oval move towards West Hills. Then it slowly went over the hill and then I couldn’t see it anymore. The whole time it was floating around, it was gradually changing color from green to orange-red and back to green, with the color change seemingly starting towards the bottom right of the oval, and then sweeping over the rest of the oval until the thing had mostly turned orange-red. I don't know if the oval was solid or just light, but it seemed to have very clearly defined edges. It was not like spot lights at all, which kind of have fuzzy, soft edges. I know the oval was not a plane because planes are not oval shaped and they move faster. I see planes all the time from my windows, sometimes even antique ones, but this was not plane shaped and did not make any sound like a plane. I know the green oval was not a helicopter because I see helicopters a lot, too, and they are noisy and I can clearly make out the helicopter shape. In fact, I saw a helicopter come from the SW part of Portland towards the center of Portland a few minutes after I saw the green oval. I know this wasn’t a car on the streets of West Hills because I could clearly see the oval in the middle of the sky at first. And I don’t think it was a drone because it looked to be wider than the houses it was above in West Hills when it was above them. I thought for a second that it might be the aerial tram, which I can see a little bit from my place, but the aerial tram doesn’t change colors, it is not green and it doesn’t float around in the middle of the sky, obviously. I don’t even think that tram runs at 12:30AM. I know the oval wasn’t making noise because I can clearly hear planes and helicopters from my apartment. Also, even though this green oval floated really close to the houses on West Hills, nobody’s lights went on like they heard a loud noise above their house. I had my window cracked and could hear the helicopter a few minutes later, so I know that the noise would have definitely have come through if there were any. I tried to take a picture of the oval but my hands were shaking and I kept dropping my phone because I was a little nervous about the green thing in the sky, not knowing what is was and all, and I was trying to make my cat stop meowing by petting her at the same time. By the time I got my phone camera ready, the thing had floated over the West Hills and out of my sight. I don’t know what the green oval thing was, so I am hoping maybe someone else does and can tell me. I could draw a picture of it if that would help identify it.

I live in the outskirts of town in the country. Last night, while taking out the garbage at around 9 pm, I was looking at the constellation Triangulum, when I noticed a bright white light right above me (my zenith). It proceeded to move across the sky silently. But was larger than a planet or plane. No blinking lights. I filmed it on my cell phone. As I was filming it a plane comes into view so you can clearly see what a plane looks like and then there is this giant white ball of light just slowly moving across the night sky. It was larger than the plane when the plane finally flew in front of it, blocking out the light for a split second. Before the large object was noticed above me, I saw several little tiny balls of light (think similar to a satellites) moving in different directions, all coming from the constellation of Triangulum. The white ball of light only started moving, once I noticed it above me. This is not the first sighting I have had, but the first! one that I have been able to film. I am unable to upload the video as the file size is too large.

At the closest it was only about 3 blocks away. Alternating colors of blue and red and would occasionally turn ultra violet of maybe had camouflage. It was twice the size of a jet and could accelerate at inconceivable rates and stop on a dime and hover for several minutes. It finally left by shooting off into the distance in just an instant, disappearing on the horizon. Source of the report provides no contact information. PD

Hovering light in distant sky south of Forest Grove, OR. This is the 3rd occurence I have observed early in the morning (usually around 3am) object meanders about lazily left & right for a good amount of time. It is very well lit for its size. Previous sighting included a smaller object directly below with flashing red/green markers. Object was doing a good job maintaining a position (6 hundred+ est. feet) below the larger lit object. If brightly lit object moved, then the green/red object would too as if on a long string hanging far below. Whatever it is it seems as if this is a regular occurence. I live in Veneta, Oregon. I looked up at the sky facing north at 21:41 and about 50 miles north, I saw a large white light, then it flashes three times then exploded and light up the sky bright white ......that was all ....there was 4 planes in the area that might have saw it also

Two bright lights high in the sky moving together. Both stopped on a dime; one moved at a high rate of speed away from the other, stopped, moved straight up, stopped, moved straight down, stopped, and then sped away at a high rate of speed out of my sight. While all this was happening, the other UFO was moving erratically...up, down, sideways at high speed, but stayed in its general area. I called 911 and they gave me the number for the UFO HOTLINE.

Wife noticed bright light above I-5 near Albany. Light appeared to be brighter and more white than the softer yellow glow of a streetlight. Light was also much higher in the air than any possible structure could reach and basically hovered directly over highway. Harshness of light dissipated as we drove under it, revealing a lit rectangular shaped bottom. Similar hovering light appeared again a few minutes later further down the highway. I've driven this same stretch of I-5 many times before, and have never seen, or noticed, anything like this.

My partner and I were going for a walk on the evening of Feb 14, 2017. We left the house at approx 5:45 and began our walk. We noticed two glowing objects in the sky, seemingly different from anything else we could see. Immediately I took out my phone and starting recording. The orbs appeared red/orange in color but were also flickering throughout the sighting. Moving between orange, red and at times a slight yellow. As we started to move towards the two objects we were able to see a third. All three sat there but then the started to move a little. The one on the left began to move quickly to the left while the middle one stayed stationary. Eventually the one on the right seemed to "blip" out. We chased the one moving to the left and by the time we saw it again the other two were gone. After deciding to try and get a better vantage point we ran around and eventually lost sight of the objects. I stood quietly and attempted to reach out mentally. I remember saying, "Show yourself to me one more time so I know I'm not seeing things." Shortly there after (approx two minutes) objects appeared in the sky again. This time there was only two. We ran down streets trying to get better views of them. During this time we observed the objects hovering, moving in a straight line, changing course during flight and eventually moving out of sight. Overall the entire incident lasted about 15 mins before we lost sight or they disappeared. Both of us were deeply impacted, myself particularly so. About 830 pm spotted a bright light directly west of my position at 45°23'60" N. 122°46'53W. I watched it to see if it moved (like a plane) but it was only descending toward the horizon as though it were setting so appeared to be in space rather than the sky. It appeared to the naked eye to look like it was spinning and flickering. Viewed through binoculars it appeard to be a grouping of lights, white lights with what appeared to be red lights surrounding it. It also appeared as if it were rotating or turning in place. My wife and I both saw over 27 lights, the size of stars or satellites, moving across the sky rapidly in V patterns. One fleet would pass, and then another batch would come out of the clouds and pass. It was mind boggling. Even our 2 year old baby was pointing at them and saying "moon, moon, moon".

I was walking a country road, some clouds, I saw what I think maybe a comet, but it was like "falling star" and then it seemed to mush around the edges like a cloud and then it swarled like a corkscrew and disappeared and seemed like vanished suddenly, It was white, it looked bigger as it swirled and vanished instantly.

There are 3 Bright hovering lights above North East Oregon near the Blue Mountain Range, cannot verify shape, only that these bright objects are moving very slightly in contrast to the stationary stars behind them! At first I saw one, as it slowly rose into the sky, and then became stationary, noticed two others in a triangle shape above the city. Could see a plane flying nearby them, much closer by comparison.

I am a school teacher. My class and I were outside doing a couple laps on the school track after lunch. The sky was clear and a couple planes were going by. I glanced up and was looking at the long trail produced out the back of one of the planes, when I noticed what looked like a very bright star in the east by southeast portion of the sky. It appeared to be above the 33,000 foot cruising altitude and was slightly bigger than the planes which were flying their typical daily routes. It just stayed in one place. I pointed it out to my kids because we had never seen a stationary star in the daylight before. The rest of my class gathered around us and we all stopped and watched it. It seemed to slowly shift and elongate. In other words--it went from a star to a white cylinder shape, and then back to a star as if it was maybe rotating like a baton. It would remain a star and only occasionally switch to the cylinder only a few times (3x). A couple times it completely disappeared, then would reappear in the same place. It moved very slowly to the center of the sky at a barely legible speed over the course of 15 minutes, and then completely disappeared. My class was excited and freaking out to each other. None of them were scared whatsoever, and in fact seemed very elated. There was no noise detected from the object, although we cannot hear jets at that altitude either.. (( We have viewed the video, and the white light looks to us to be Venus. PD

Went to sleep early Sunday night woke at about midnight. I did not want to read or watch t.v., it was too stimulating. I wanted to back to sleep, so I went outside and, sat on my balcony to very clear night it was wonderful the stars were brilliant. I must state that I live on the central coast of Oregon in a very small town (not many lights). I moved here from Los Angeles, because I was seeking peace and quiet. I was looking at Orions belt doing the Jeopardy question, which is brighter his shoulder or his toe (its his toe) suddenly an orange light that lined up with Orions belt and moving very slowly from south to north came into view. The strange thing about this light. It was very large and it did not glow. I say this because I have an ocean view, and see many fishing boats. They have white and orange lights, these lights glow! What I saw was very large and not a rounded shape. Pinched in the middle it did not glow. It was traveling at a slow speed, then suddenly went very fast and changed direction going lower and then blinked out. I have seen many strange things in the sky but I have never seen anything that was orange in color that did not make any sound, and did not glow. No strobe lights. Again, let me state, it was high and big (about a 1/4 size of moon), a circle but slightly squished in the middle. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and she seemed to us to be quite sober-minded. We suspect that she is a very capable, and reliable, witness. PD

We do not know what the object was that the witness observed. However, it is premature to conclude that it was the type of craft alleged by the observer. We have read about an object labeled the "TR-3B," but have never seen conclusive evidence that such a craft actually exists. PD
