Today is a clear sky over North East Ohio. We are 10 miles from Lake Erie. At an almost straight up angle, a shiny object remained stationary for 90 minutes. I retrieved my binoculars and we looked at it under 50 x 20 power. The object looked like a chevron shaped object. It only moved a slight bit. We had 8 people in all viewing this thing. It appeared to be almost as high as a 36,000 ft high jet that flew near it. When it left it just disappeared. No pics were taken as it was so high up.

I checked the "Missing time experienced" box below because on the morning of Aug. 9th I lost 3 and half hours that I just can't account for. I am unaware of a connection but mention it in case.

I witnessed a bright flash in the Northeastern sky, followed by a second bright flash a few seconds later. I was watching for meteors directly above in the Milkyway, since it was a clear night. The flash was so bright, I saw it out of the corner of my eye—a big ball of white light. It immediately grabbed my attention. I traced the object across the sky for over 10 minutes. It moved in an irregular pathway at an inconsistent speed, flashing at irregular intervals. Sometimes it appeared to stay in one place for a few seconds. Some flashes were very bright—brighter than a satellite or planet, some flashes were very faint, and many of the flashes were brighter than the stars and comparable with a planet or satellite. All the flashes were white light and of varying durations, the longest being about half a second. The flashing object moved in an unpredictable, zig-zag pathway across the sky, moving from the Northeast towards the West/Northwest. After about 10 t! o 15 minutes, I lost it through the trees. The object had to be very high in the atmosphere, if not outside the Earth’s atmosphere. At one point, I witnessed a jet airliner fly directly under the object as it flashed, so it was much higher than an airplane. It made no noise that I could discern, but the heavy amounts of background noise could have drowned it out (diesel generators). Its irregular speed and pathway rules out the possibility of it being an orbiting satellite or high flying aircraft. No civilian aircraft or space craft could fly like that. I do not believe it was any space debris falling back down to earth, as it would have left a trail and been a consistent glow. I suppose it could have been some piece of highly-reflective material being tossed around in the upper atmosphere (but what and how did it get there?). There’s no way it was a coincidental set of meteors. Something that is also possibly related. Around 9:30 PM, my cat went completely nuts. Chasing none existent beings around the room like she went crazy. As soon as I opened the door to go outside and look for meteors, she abruptly burst outside and ran around the yard. A few minutes after I had lost sight of the object, she ran up to the door perfectly normal again. I am a person of science, but I cannot logically explain what I saw to any degree of certainty. The entire event freaked me out, along with two other co-witnesses. None of my colleagues have believed my account of what I saw. I know what I saw, and I know it was not normal or something that will be easy to throw aside. I know that this was in the most literal sense: an Unidentified Flying Object.

On Saturday night, 08/12/17, my wife and I were standing outside of our home watching for the meteor shower. We sadly did not see any meteors, but witnessed something else. I caught a really bright white flash out of the corner of my eye first and directed my attention towards it. It more or less blinked in and out of view several times. I pointed it out to my wife whom was standing right next to me. She didn't see it at first but finally saw it. That was the first UFO that really had me scratching my head. Mind you it was a beautiful night out very little cloud cover and stars all over. After that initial sighting we observed probably 3 or 4 more in a span of about 5-10 minutes. I initially thought it possibly have been a satellite or something. They all just kinda flashed and disappeared and flashed again. I was astounded as was my wife. I really was hoping to find more reports of this because it was such a nice night and figured there would have been more people outside that night that may have seen them. I thought they possibly could have been meteors, but, I have never seen a meteor act that way, usually they are more like a shooting star to the best of my knowledge. All in all it was very bizarre. I just couldn't wrap my head around it and neither could she. Thanks for having this site. I just had to toss this out there and see if anything similar had been seen.

Saw this bright orange light traveling from NW to SE, moving very slowly. It wasn't a plane, no flashing lights or beacons. Thought it might be one of those fire floating lanterns, but it was too big for that. After a minute of viewing it was almost overhead and the brightness of the object would waver, gradually getting smaller and less bright. Could not make out a defined shape. After a few minutes viewing it passed into a cloud, probably around an altitude of 5000-7000 feet (I know cloud formations, relative heights). A mystery. Sitting on the porch and an enormous amount of reddish, but twinkling, flying crafts where heading east, first moving as if in formation together like a group, but close, then the other crafts came lingering behind heading the in the same direction flashing and a few hovering.

(The first 4 seconds of the video are stars.) I have an extensive aviation and aerospace background enough to know the differences in airborne craft and their flight peculiarities, if any. I was a pilot in the past. I know all about Wright-Patterson as per Roswell, as my gramps used to work there in the 1950's-1980's. I know what satellites and space junk in orbit look like, too. This is not a spent Soviet rocket booster. I've seen this thing in multiple states since around 2012 at least. It makes no sound. This thing follows no linear path and has only one light that shines and/or flashes at irregular intervals at varying intensities. The flashes look like fireflys as the flashes occur in random positions, but are much too bright, and I can tell they are way higher up than firefly altitude. Often, the light flashes bright-enough to rival Venus or Sirius, or perhaps even brighter. If it were a small, kit aircraft, it would have to be low enough to be able to hear, like around 5000' AGL. If a small kit aircraft managed to get up to 14000' or higher, air would run thin. Maybe the pilot is on oxygen. But at those altitudes the angular separation between each flash is far enough apart, that speed required to be in the following flash position would greatly exceed that of a single-engine prop. There is no reason why some pilot would be up above this country area in rural Ohio with no wingtip navigation (green/red) lights (against FAA regulations) flashing a single light in a strange manner. I thought it may be an experimental military craft, or some kind of exercise going on, as often when I see this thing, there is a commercial airliner nearby at cruising altitude (above 18000'). But I have seen these flashes with multiple witnesses who multiple times from coast to coast for about the last seven or eight years, often in parts of the country where there are no fireflys. I will edit a video of this, also. I suspect that I will be able to film them again soon. I am almost scared to admit to the general public that I believe I can see the flash and "talk" to it. I will say "can I see another, please?" and it will flash brightly. I wait ten or fifteen seconds and I say "gimmie another one!" and it will flash again very brightly right after I ask. I sh*t you not. I am of very scientific mind and I don't generally believe in such a thing, so it is kind of concerning me that I seem to be able to request a flash, and then have it shine or flash very brightly. It's kinda creeping me out. Like I said, I will try to do this more in the future. This is the first time I have filmed it on hi-def or at all for that matter, and the first time I have ever had a camera good enough to even film anything at night, and I hope to improve my filming skills in the coming nights. I have seen it so many times over the years and made it flash by asking, that I am pretty sure I can get the same result again. As I was filming this, I held the camera still as possible. I zoomed in 50% at some point about half-way through and left it there. Only once did I quickly move it a few degrees to show an airliner as you can hear me say on the video. I moved it back to the general vicinity. So if you see a flash in the bottom right corner, for instance, and then one in the center, this is not due to me moving the camera. The flashes actually occurred in separate spots relative to each other. Some flashes were quite faint, others were longer than a flash, increasing in brightness slowly over the course of a couple seconds, peaking in brightness, and then slowly dropping off. Some moved when flashing slowly. Others were stationary quick flashes. The next flash would be very bright and quick, for instance. Each flash was somewhat different. When you hear me say, there's a bright one, the camera did not do it justice. It was actually much brighter than the camera reveals. My guess is maybe a drone(s), or perhaps it is above the atmosphere (over 100km), which would make it huge, and fast. I'm not sure of the altitude. If I had to bet my life on it, I would guess between 20000'-50000' AGL maybe? But it certainly could have been at orbital altitude, even. I'm not sure. Maybe it's a drone that can listen in through a cellphone, to explain why it flashes when I ask it to? Maybe just some government employees messing with me, maybe? :D I've been tricked before on more than one occasion by perspective regarding UFOs, so I believe I am more careful to discern this, these days. I'm not saying it's ETs or anything, I'm saying I don't have a clue and I want to know. I will search for similar sightings by others after typing this. Thanks.

Circle shape noticed because it looked like it was on fire or just bright orange. Moved from East to North West. No sound moved for a period of time then stopped. Went to different vantage point and it stopped glowing. Seen through open window in my house then went to my deck outside.

Saw bright ornage rectangular shape rising in the distance and fading out and disappearing, then reappeared lower on the horizon than was initially seen. It floated into the air and appeared to be weaving left to right as it was rising, and then disappeared again for the last time.

At approx. 10:15 pm, 8/3/17, my wife saw from her bedroom a softball size orange glowing round orb in the night sky, traveling without sound from south to north, taking about 20 seconds before out of viewable area. She called to me, stating what she saw, and I thought nothing of it, till she saw a second orb same as the other, so I went outside and just saw it as it went out of view. Within about 5 more minutes a third orb came from the same location and I got a good look at it. As mentioned, it was an orange glowing orb, undulating light from bright to less bright, traveled south to north without sound and took around 20 seconds to be out of sight. It seemed perhaps 500 or so feet in the sky, moved in a straight line and seemed softball size. I called the Geauga County sheriff department and reported the scenario. They said no one else had called any thing in. A sheriff vehicle stopped by and I related the above to the deputy again. I am a retired State of Ohio police officer, with over 25 years duty. It was a clear sky with some distant lighting, and the orbs were clearly viewed also.

I ran downstairs to my daughters. Very scared. There was just a couple, it looked like tentacles of light going between crafts. Quick and abrupt moving. My daughter then noticed about 30 minutes later out the window on other side of house the sky was full and moving, lights were bouncing off the clouds. It's now slowed down but I felt instant fear at first, I wasn't afraid to watch them now. I have been before at this same location. Her husband and brother in law seen it as well as my granddaughter.

I slowed down from 30mph to 10mph to watch what I call a "air vessel" three times the size of a Boeing 777, white in color with red rear fin, but the aircraft didn't have any wings, and made no sound. The aircraft then headed east towards downtown Columbus, Ohio. I am a US Air Force combat veteran of 12 yrs and I have never seen a aircraft like this. It had no markings, decals or country designation.

I saw 3 pairs of large orange spheres flying in a line from West to East over Loveland, Ohio. Once over Loveland, each pair rapidly ascended at an 80 degree angle to the South, quickly diminishing in size and disappeared. There was no sound or red and green flashing lights.

My fiancée and I were sitting on the porch and noticed an odd, orange circle of light cross the sky to the east of us, heading northeast. Smaller balls of light detached itself and appeared to be falling from it. We walked down our outside balcony to follow its path and it suddenly disappeared. About two minutes later, another craft bearing the same description with little orange flashes dropping from it followed along slowly in the same flight path. We were able to follow its flight path and watched it, when suddenly, it winked out and was nowhere to be seen. Both were silent on their flights. About three minutes after the last disappeared, a CPD helicopter loudly flew in the direction they vanished from.

While sky watching my husband and I were looking at an extremely bright star to the west. As we watched the light, the star intensified and started to move away slowly at first and faster, growing smaller until disappearing. We were pretty shocked, neither of us had seen any thing like it before. Like I said, it looked just like a star for quite a bit. It was no plane, we see them all the time and know what they look like.

As I was driving to work, I saw 4 balls of light that were a dull burnt orange in color. When I first noticed them, they were in the shape similar to a backwards "s". I went to grab my phone to try and take a picture/video of what I was seeing, when I looked back up at the sky the balls of light had begun to move into more of a square or diamond formation. When I arrived at work minutes later I could no longer see them in the sky.

I was on an evening walk not far from my house, when I turned in a westerly direction on a residential street. The time was around 21:00 hours EDT on the date of 7/08/2017. As I walked generally towards the west, I saw a dark, round object silhouetted against the still bright western sky. It appeared to be about 50 feet above the tree line at a heading of WNW from my location. It was motionless and emitted no lights or sound. It also appeared to be slightly wider than it was tall but was generally spherical in shape. It seemed to be about the size of one of my fingernails, held at arm’s length, from my perspective. The first thought that came to mind was that I was observing a large tethered balloon some unknown distance away. I also considered a kite but quickly dismissed that idea as there was barely a breeze and certainly not enough wind to keep a kite aloft. I continued to walk westerly as I observed the object for about 10-20 seconds before the tree line obscured my view. In that time, the object did not appear to move at all, but remained completely stationary. I continued to walk to the end of the street and turned northerly at an intersection. As I walked farther I tried to again observe the object through breaks in the tree line towards the west but to no avail. The object was now gone. This is the first time in my life I have ever seen an object in the sky that I could not identify. It did not appear to be a helicopter, plane or drone and (to reiterate) was completely silent. It appeared to be much too small to be a hot-air balloon, and I have never seen hot-air balloons floating over my neighborhood in the past 4-1/2 years I have lived here. Therefore, I am mystified as to what it was.
