Saw stationary lights in the sky northeast of me. At first I thought they were the lights of a cell phone tower. But I know the area well and there was no tower in that direction. Observed lights for about 23 minutes. Lights remained stationary for a long time. Then they shifted very quickly to the right. And again remained stationary. I was able to take pictures with my cell phone, but It’s an old flip phone and doesn’t have a great camera. At the end of the sighting the lights moved away to the north out of view. This movement was extremely fast. Almost in an instant. That the thing that astounded me about this sighting. Is how it remained stationary for so long. Then in an instant it moved. First to another position in the sky. And then out of sight. Is speed was incredible. For the entire encounter the lights were silent. I worked in the airlines for over 20 years. I’ve worked security for 3 years. I’ve never seen anything like it. From experience, I know this was not plane, helicopter, and it moved too fast to be a drone. I’m stumped.

I was sitting at my home watching TV and a flying helicopter could be heard approaching my property and shook my house I immediately ran outside at 12:28 a.m. in the morning to see what was going on if it was like flight or something serious some sort of emergency and saw this helicopter over stretch of miles has it passed my house and made a complete circle and then I noticed it was chasing a green light as it streaked across the sky and disappeared and reappeared several miles further away the green light and the helicopter chased it off in the distance and then roughly 20 minutes later the helicopter reappeared near my home close enough for me to hear the helicopter and then I saw the green light reappear again and disappear as it seem like the helicopter was chasing it.

I saw a bright light flashing, moving from south to north in the eastern sky. Approximately 45-55 degrees above the Horizon. Then suddenly it shot like a shooting star 10 to 20 degrees (at least from my perspective angle) to a sudden dead stop seemingly almost above me. It seems as if it was just a few blocks away or over down town, but seemed like it was only 500 feet above the city! It then began to flash a single bright flashing light every second to two second intervals very steady pace. Not making a single sound! Where it just hung out stationery for approximately ten minutes or so, silently. I called my neighbor out to watch it and witness it too. Which she did. Behind and above the brilliant flash I could see what seemed like a large bay window. Like maybe an observational window. It was an aqua color.Then it after what seemed like about ten minutes or so, it slowly went out of view behind the building as it moved in a N.E. direction. At first I went back to my porch then decided to walk all the way over to where I had last seen it going behind the buildings. I briefly saw it again but as it kept moving I lost sight of it. So I went back up to my porch. Next thing I knew it was in the deep southern sky traveling west and went out of sight behind the trees. What it seemed like it did was make a maneuver that was impossible for a human occupant to survive (thus showing off ‘’we are not human”) Then stopped directly in the middle of air traffic flight path from the Eugene Airport and hovered there for ten minutes or so, as if to say “so what are you going to do about it”? I am trained in deep sky observations, and using indirect field of view it see details as I have had a number of large telescopes and have sat on the board of directors of the Eugene Astronomical Society. I can’t say for sure what it was I saw. But I can tell you what it wasn’t. I am not ignorant to the night sky.

I saw one F18 flying low over my neighborhood and watched as it sped up. I then noticed it was chasing something. I am unsure of the shape or what it was it the F18 was chasing, but it was fast and flew up quickly into the atmosphere while the F18 tore West and then directly up. I could no longer see either the F18 or the UFO, but continued to hear the F18 jet as it was still audible. I couldn’t hear the UFO at all. Luckily, another bystander witnessed this incident and we were both unable to articulate precisely what the F18 was chasing. Furthermore, I had a hard time understanding why just one F18 jet was chasing this, as from my understanding they typically do not travel alone.

At approximately 9:40pm we went outside to see if we could see a few meteors. I was waiting for my Dad and my son was running around the driveway. I looked up from the ramp onto the deck and noticed a sparkly looking star that was moving kind of strange. It was a little erratic like it zigged a little one way and then zagged back the other way. It also appeared to emit something or sparkle. I pulled up Sky Tonight and nothing in the spot and it was moving so I figured it wasn't a star. I did record video which is hard to do with a phone at night. This is one of a few sightings I have had out here. Each sighting has kind of triggered my anxiety and made me a little nervewracked and not wanting to or being able to sleep. They seem to be getting more and more frequent. I am completely sober. We were watching the sky for the Persied meteor shower. Clear sky, no clouds or moon out. We just saw a shooting star and pointed it out to each other. As we were pointing, just to the left of where we were looking we suddenly saw a green flash. For reference, It happened to the left of the Big Dipper. It was circular and small from our perspective, but the size of the bigger stars in the sky. It was like a camera flash. Very quick. There was a pause, then it happened again about 4 seconds later and that was it. No craft, no plane, not a comet, just a small green camera flash in outer space.

It was a beautiful, clear, fairly still night in Manzanita so 4 friends and I decided to turn off all the lights on my beach house deck and watch the Perseid meteor shower. We’d been sitting for an hour or so gazing at meteors, satellites and an occasional plane pass over when I gazed to the East/slightly SE about 1/3-1/2 above the horizon at a group of stars (I don’t know much about astronomy so I don’t know what stars they were) and saw a small white/silver pinpoint of light, not much bigger or brighter than a star, suddenly appear moving in that area. At first I thought it was a star but it started moving erratically, although rather slowly, up, down, sideways, back and forth. The nearby stars it was moving around stayed stationary so it was obviously not a star. I have no idea how far away it was or how fast it was moving. 2 of my friends also saw this light and while this was happening we talked and agreed this was not looking like an airplane or helicopter and was definitely not a satellite or a meteor. And then it just disappeared. I stayed out and watched for another hour, and though the meteor shower increased, I didn’t see anymore strangely moving lights.

It was moving from west to east. We were watching the meteor shower and this faint, light colored object just slid across the sky making no sound. It was about one inch across at arms length and traveled an arc of about 90 degrees in 10 seconds. It was really hard to see. My wife also saw it. I saw it as an oval with axis west to east. She saw it as two triangular wings going north and south. Not a bird. Absolutley no sound.

Object appeared in a blink of an eye and traveled for about 20 seconds horizontal to the ground at a slower speed but then shot off at a high rate of speed that is faster than any known aircraft that I know of. The sky was clear, the object was white in color but I also saw a brief moment of metallic color as well. Object had a fuzzy area around it's edge. The object was like an egg shape and then stretched out flat like. There were no flashing lights seen on the object. It then became the shape of an egg again and disappeared. Altitude was possibly between 25 to 40 thousand feet. There was no contrail to indicate it as a conventional aircraft. Within the time of my observation, the object went from large to small then it was gone. There were no obstructions within the line of sight of the object. No clouds, trees or mountains. Although meteor showers happening during this time period, I don't think it was a meteor because it had no trail behind it and it slowed down at one point in time during my observation.

Driving out of the mountains last week I saw a metallic flying object that looked like a flying toaster but larger. It had a dark area to the backside or left on the object. When I stopped my truck to record it the thing vanished in a blink of an eye. There were no clouds in the sky or trees in the way to block my view. It happened so fast my son did not see it. The flying object was only 300 feet high at the most. It was moving fast laterally like it was paralleling our trucks travel direction observing us. I took a picture of the sky where I last saw the object after it disappeared. I stood there for a few minutes trying to figure out where the thing went or see if it was going to reappear. No sound I could hear like a plane. Right after it disappeared there was a white jet or drone that flew overhead where the object disappeared from. The drone looking thing was high in altitude compared to the flying toaster shaped metallic object I had seen. The flying toaster object was approximately 20 ft long and 10 feet tall. No flashing lights but there was a dark area on the back or left side of the object. It was traveling fast from my left to right in the sky.

I spotted a bald eagle during a walk. The sun was very bright and I was trying to take photos of the eagle on my cell phone. I didn’t realize I took picture of object until I got home and saw the photos.

Metallic looking disk high up in the sky amongst clouds. Dome top is reflective in nature with bottom spherical shape dark/shaded. Upon closer look at photo, there appears to be a turret like bubble on the bottom of the craft.

We were out just before the international space station was to fly over at 9:50 PM Pacific time. At 9:46 I noticed what I thought was the ISS near the star Arcturus (too early) and it was flying straight east the only thing different this object covered the sky from Arcturus to the horizon in about one minute, it takes the international space station 11 minutes to cross the sky. I checked all my online star maps- looking at recent launches and I don’t have an answer, Its description, About mag 0 maybe -1. No sound No course correction. looked like a satellite. Observer descriptions 1) 71-year-old male, retired physician, education includes bachelors degree, MD, Masters of Public Health. Observer 1 is author of this report. 2) 76 -year-old female, retired visual artist, formal education in the arts with a bachelor’s degree, keen observer of plants, animals and natural phenomena At 11:40 PM I was getting into bed, preparing to go to sleep. Observer 2 was already in bed, falling asleep. I was sitting up in bed, checking my smart phone before going to sleep. I was facing east, with a clear view out of our bedroom’s 4’ X 6’ east-facing picture window. The window looks out over the NE Portland skyline, but the view is somewhat broken up by a large pine tree near our house. As I glanced up looking through the window, I noticed unusually bright lights to the east. At first I thought they were aircraft heading to PDX airport, but they were unusual in the following ways: a) the lights were were much brighter than usual aircraft lights, b) they were multi-colored - orange on some of the objects in addition to typical red and white, c) the lights were distributed more broadly than on a typical aircraft, resulting in a larger pattern/apparent size of each object, d) the objects clustered together in groups of 2 or 3 as they traveled from south to north. We have lived in this house for 20 years, and have never seen a comparable pattern of lights. We regularly see aircraft through the bedroom’s north facing window - these form the basis of the comparisons I just cited. I observed the objects from bed for about 5 minutes, then got a pair of binoculars from a bedside table. I went out onto the second floor deck located just east of the east-facing window. Viewing with binoculars revealed multiple lights on each object more clearly, but I could not discern a shape of the objects themselves nor any other details. At this point - about 5-10 minutes since I first noticed the lights - I awakened observer 2 who joined me in viewing the objects with both naked eyes and through binoculars. She concurred with my description, and agreed that the appearance was highly unusual and different from our usual experiences looking at that section of sky. We are very familiar with that part of the urban skyline from regular watching of the moon rise. The pattern of lights appearing, traveling to the north, descending, then disappearing continued for about 20-25 minutes, ending about midnight. I estimate there were roughly 10 objects, but did not make an effort to count them or capture images. About 20 minutes into the occurrence I called the Portland Police non-emergency phone number and was referred to the NUFORC and made my call a few minutes later.

I was stargazing at camp watching the meteor shower when a bright white light appeared in the sky above me. The light expanded and got brighter rapidly til it looked like it exploded with a flash of light that illuminated the entire sky. Shortly after a triangular shaped craft with 5 white lights, 1 centered on the front with 2 on each side equally spaced appeared and I observed it flying across the sky for approximately 5 minutes from East to west towards the coast. There was no sound from either the flash of light nor the craft.

I was looking out my bathroom window at approximately 9:45pm and spotted something in the sky. I was looking west and I pulled up my Sky Tonight app to see if any stars or anything lined up with this object and nothing did. I still am new to the Sky Tonight app though. This object seemed mostly stationary but at the end of the video it did seem to move a little. It also appears to change shape a little and also seems to have a haze around it. This is not my first or only sighting of something odd. Here is the short video link I uploaded to YouTube. I also have two photographs as well. There was just the one and just me that saw it. Long cylinder shape moved from north to south across the eastern skyline in Roseburg, OR. It was visible to the naked eye in the daylight. We saw it for about 4 minutes. We failed to get a photo as we were hoping to use our telescope to get a good image and it moved out of our sight at that time.

Objects appearing like evenly spaced stars moving in straight line south to north at at least 1000 ft higher than regular incoming aircraft. Additional family member confirmed and also witnessed them stop moving, become stationary and split into small groups in multiple locations directly above before we eventually lost track of them. They seemed to blend in with surrounding stars .

I had just opened my car door and was looking up in the sky after getting off work at 1:30 in the morning it was probably about 1:26 a.m. and I saw 1 very large long object gliding across the sky very fast almost like a shooting star but it had no lights that I could tell. It disappeared just as quickly almost as I saw it right above my house it had Brown and grey tones to its color. I tried focusing my eyes on it more as I did it looked as if it had some kind of texture to it. The shape was much like a dragon without wings kind of fatter at the front of it and then long and skinny tapering off at the end kind of like what a comment with the tail would look like but more solid and more substance throughout the middle portion than a comet. It was strange enough looking that I felt I needed to file a report somewhere as soon as I seen it. So there's the report wish I could have had more to say about it but I only saw it for seconds.

I was driving back to my hotel after I had been in town at a wedding that weekend. It was late, approximately 10:40pm. I was driving in my car on a main road in the town I was staying in and some flashing lights caught my eye in the sky through the upper left corner of my windshield. I looked up and out, expecting to see an airplane. It seemed low in the sky, like about where a commercial jet would fly, or maybe even a bit lower like when a plane will come in to land. My mind was having trouble processing what I was seeing and it happened so quickly, but I initially saw a triangle type object which I first mistook for a plane. There was lights blinking on it sporadically, green/red and possibly bluish white. It wasn’t blinking off and on, it was more erratic, like a lot were going on and off at the same time. Then it seemed to morph into a spherical shape rotating in the sky, still flashing with the sporadic colorful lights. And then it was just gone. It was there and then it wasn’t. I didn’t see it zoom away. It was just there and then not. Like someone flipping off a light switch. It was so bizarre. I kept looking out my car windshield while also watching the road and I couldn’t see anything else. I was only a few blocks from my hotel so when I parked I scanned the night sky and I saw nothing out of the ordinary. I hesitate to even share this account since it was so quick and I was by myself in my car. I barely had time to process what had occurred, my whole sighting happened in probably 30 seconds or less. I’m hoping maybe someone else saw something strange around that timeframe that could potentially validate my sighting as well. The night was clear, and pretty warm out. I don’t remember seeing any clouds that could obscure my vision.

My husband and I saw a small white object flying overhead traveling south/SE to north/NW. it was small, circular and white and was going pretty fast. It did not make any noise like all the planes we hear overhead.
