I usually see planes since I live next to the airport but these lights were different they were fixed with no other lights flashing. The way the object floated across the sky was not like any plane I've seen. The object seemed almost translucent with the exception of the lights.

As we stared at it we were deliberating about what it could be. It was too big to be a planet but didn't appear to be aircraft. We were perplexed. After about 1 minute we looked down into the water as we moved toward the shoreline. We looked away for about 30 seconds and then my friend said to me that the orb was gone. I looked up into the clear sky and sure enough it wasn't there. We spent 30 minutes discussing it and particularly its size (like a planet but bigger too big for that), color (orange glow like ! an ember) and how it disappeared or vanished (disappeared without trace). It didn't seem logical. The size and color of the object makes it hard to believe it just vanished. It was in the high point of the sky and there's no way it sped off.

6:15 am got up to let the dogs out right before sunrise. Noticed to the east clouds in the distance starting to turn pink…slightly higher up in the sky closer to me there was one large light and one smaller light in a straight line that were close enough to suggest a craft not two independent objects, and oddly the lights were somewhat fuzzy like in a bit of fog yet no fog at all. I had the FEELING OF O THAT IS NOT GOOD…why I don’t know. It was silent, not moving and oddly out of focus. It SEEMED that it was something there, not two stars. I watched it, took the dogs in fed them, and went back out it was still there…5 minutes….came back in and returned to watch the sun rise as it was brightly colored and in another 5 minutes or so I kept checking and it was gone. I just somehow knew it was an UFO but how I don’t know and clearly it left. Took a photo looks like nothing exciting. Planets in the eastern sky?? PD

Was driving east on Floyd Av approaching Claus Rd when I saw 5 orange lights. There were 2 one above the other and next to them 3 one above the other both were strait up. It looked like they were part of a antenna until they split off and all but one dissapeared. I stopped and was looking at it float across the sky. Put a flash light on it and it immediately dissapeared. Another car pulled next to us and a couple inside said they saw the same lights. I looked in the dark sky to the south and saw a black object. Which promptly dissapeared as well.

I saw a set of green constant airplane lights coming toward me and the Burbank, Airport landing path that I reside underneath. This was an unusual color pattern and direction so I mentioned it to the man I was talking to. As the green lights came closer, traveling on a straight line North East towards the South West the 'plane' appeared to be gaining altitude and just as my friend noted that it appeared to be increasing speed when... suddenly it just stopped. It did not slow down nor turn, Just stopped and reversed direction as if it were a film running backwards. It was NOT spectacular but the green light pattern and the flight path were clearly unusual before we saw it stop motion and change direction. The lights continued to look the same from the new angle as it moved away. It appeared to be lower in the sky than space. Like an airplane. Definitely not a helicopter and more than likely too big and fast to have been a drone of any kind. I am still in awe of the fact it just stopped in mid air. I had a clear view. It was almost overhead when it reversed and then returned across the horizon and disappeared from my view behind some buildings.

Driving South Bound on HWY 101, we saw a very large true green light sphere/orb apperate, at a 5-15miles away from us, high in the sky, and free fall straight down in a south east direction, until we could no longer locate it. Possible Orionid meteor?? PD

Was driving home from work. It was a state highway but because it was after 10pm in a farming community there was little traffic. I was in an area with very little artificial light when high in the sky I noticed an unusual light. Looked up to see a bright green orb/fireball traveling what appeared to be straight down. My first thought was a firework, but it seemed to be moving at a pace quicker than a firework would free fall. I followed the ball of green light with my eyes for approximately 4-5 seconds until I lost it to the horizon. The car in front of me must have seen it as well because the road was wide open and they broke hard and pulled over. I've lived in the area for 5 years. I've driven this road alone after dark at least 3 nights a week and never seen anything like this. Possible Orionid meteor?? PD

I was driving down highway 74 about half a mile from the junction with the 243 toward Idyllwild and saw a large green ball in the sky. It was bright and stationary in the sky. After a couple seconds it began accelerating toward the ground at a high rate of speed and i could see what appeares to be orange flames behind it, though at a great distance. Seemed to be falling in the direction of hemet/san jacinto. Possible Orionid meteor?? PD

I was talking with friends and I noticed a new light in my peripheral vision. I looked up and saw what seemed to be a falling star just above eye level. Then I realized it was far too large and close to be a shooting star because it seemed to only be a mile away. It looked a ball of fire falling from the sky with a trail of smoke. It feel almost perpendicular to the ground. It took about 5-10 seconds to fall from where I first saw it to beyond the building skyline and out of my sight.

I live about eight miles west of the Madera Municipal Airport. I earned my private pilot's license at that airport. The approaches for the Madera airport and the Fresno Air Terminal beyond it are directly over my house for aircraft coming from the Bay Area. In the evenings, I see aircraft with their landing lights on approaching from the northwest and heading towards the southeast. As they get closer, you can hear their engines, see the strobes, and finally see the red and green navigation lights when they are directly overhead. Fifteen minutes ago, I was out in my yard when I saw what I thought was a light aircraft with its landing lights on approaching from the northwest. The sky was partially overcast with wispy clouds. The light seemed to be going at about the same speed as a light aircraft and was at about 8000 or 9000 feet altitude. I watched it, waiting to see the strobe as it got closer and listening for engine sounds, but it remained silent, and there were no visible strobes or navigation lights. Then it began a slow, wide turn to the south. It's hard to describe, but it almost seemed to slide. The color of the light was almost the same color as a landing light. After the 90 degree turn, landing lights would not have been visible on an airplane, but this light remained constant. Then it began to speed up, and it either gained altitude, or the light faded out. I don't know which, but it just disappeared. I know some people will say it was an airplane, but it wasn't. When it was overhead, I should have seen a strobe and the red and green navigation lights, and it should not have had white lights facing backwards. Also, it's possible to hear a jet or propeller engine at that altitude, and it went from a constant brightness to a dim light to nothing in about five seconds time. It wasn't an airplane.

Around 8:00 PM, I was sitting in my backyard on my swinging couch having a cigarette and looking in the at the stars in the sky in the east direction. I noticed a large ball of light with a long trail moving laterally in the south direction at high speed. Then all of a sudden everything disappeared within a few seconds. I heard people on the radio early this morning here in the California central valley describe on-air exactly what I had seen. At about 7:00 I saw 2 bright solid green lights about 10 miles out in the south sky. Being an ex-pilot I thought it was weird because usually a plane will have a red light and green. Ex. (red right returning) this didn’t. I kept my eye on it and all of a sudden the lights turned a solid red and streaked towards me at a tremendous speed and stopped about 2 miles away. It then turned to Green and hovered. Then a solid Red light and streaked west about a mile and hovered. Now I cant remember what lights were showing but it was either a solid red or green. Then it streaked east about another 7-10 miles and hovered. Then back west about 3 miles and finally started moving away and lowering its altitude until it moved below a tree line from my house. This was silent and very swift. We have fighter jets that fly over our house at times and these are not even as swift as these lights were.

Then the object went back to its normal looking shape for few secs then did it again. Then went black as if turned off lights and went back on. The object then disappeared over Marina, CA. It looked like as I was taking it. I have a small video I recorded on my cell phone.

We saw a bright light that was clearing not a star. It was bigger than the average star and stayed in one place. It constantly changed colors from red, green, blue, white, orange and yellow. It did not move while we watched it. All of our pets (2 cats and a dog) and our daughter were very on edge while it was there. Our daughter has always been a solid sleeper and she woke up right before we saw it and was afraid to sleep by herself.

On Tuesday 10-20-2015 between 8:00 pm and 8:15 pm I saw a V formation of lights from our back yard in San Dimas. I was looking up towards the North / East direction at stars when I saw the V formation with 5 to 7 lights and it appeared to be only a couple hundred feet above the roof. This V formation of lights was going in an East to West direction. It made no sound passing over our roof. The lights seemed to be like bright white orbs but at the same time kind of transparent. I jumped out of my chair and tried to follow it but it disappeared within 5 seconds. I had goose bumps and all my arm hair was standing up which my wife saw when I ran in and told her about my experience.
