February 11, 2016 · 6:40 AM · TEARDROP

Cerritos, CA

This morning, approximately around 6:40 am, I was outside and noticed a reflection on my glass door of a greenish, blue and yellowish glowing ball (like a fireball) moving across the sky. I turned around to face it and it was moving fast, headed for earth. I saw it for maybe 35 second (includes the time I first spotted it as a reflection), before homes and trees blocked my view., I actually stayed quiet and still, waiting for a loud crash or a jolt, which I did not hear or feel. Note: I was not sure about which shape to select, but it was between the fireball and the teardrop. There was definitely a roundness to it, but had a tail like a fireball falling from the sky at great speed, This ball was quite brightly glowing, considering the morning sky was fairly lit, and my glass door was dusty,. Video captured by a beach camera at Doheny Park, Dana Pt., CA. Object appears to us to be a meteor, streaking from west to east. Please see video on NUFORC homepage. PD

February 10, 2016 · 5:20 AM · TEARDROP

San Ramon, CA

It was a point of light travelling slowly westward from about 5 deg west of Polaris, with a faint, comet-like tail protruding sideways toward the north. The end of the tail seemed to end in a roughly spherical cloud. It traveled westward for about 45 seconds where I lost sight of about 15 deg above a relatively brighter horizon. The fuzzy teardrop-shaped feature was large - about three times the diameter of a full moon. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

February 8, 2016 · 5:00 PM · LIGHT

Hermosa Beach, CA

I'm sure this can be easily debunked but still worth sharing. Today at 6pm [sunset] from Hermosa Beach Pier I saw an object over Palos Verdes peninsula. This object was brightly lit with a solid green light that then turned into a solid red light. It was headed east [off the ocean] within 45 second it cross the Palos Verdes peninsula [20 miles]. It then landed bottom of the Palos Verdes hill. The Lights- Typically all FAA aircraft have blinking light[s] of some sort not solid bright light. also, The distance from me was approximately 10 miles and these lights were quite large. I'm down in Hermosa Beach often and it is very common to see helicopters overhead. This object's lights were larger that helicopter lights. Speed- The object traveled approximately 20 miles within 45 second then came to abrupt stop to then drop down straight down. Although it didn't seem high off the ground it was just about parallel with the top of Palos Verdes which has a elevation of 1457ft. It could have been easily flying at an elevation of 1300ft. where it landed close to sea level so it easily dropped over 1000ft within 4-6 seconds it landed on the edge of Palos Verdes/Redondo/Torrance area. The object could have been a drone or some known aircraft but the lights was seem to big and it's precision and speed made me skeptical.
