Last night (07/04/2017) at exactly 9:51 p.m., myself and four of my friends witnessed a UFO sighting in the southern sky south of Yreka, California, during the fireworks display. At first, it was thought to be a high-flying jet liner, but then it stopped and didn’t move. It was a neon green object that appeared to be round, but was to far away to discern its exact shape. After watching it for a minute or two, it began to make unnatural maneuvers un-like anything any of us had ever seen before (Quick turns, and reversals of direction), then came back to its former spot and was stationary. It made these sorts of maneuvers three times during the fireworks display. After the last maneuver, the object changed color, from green, to white and red. It was about the size of the largest visible star, and seemed to be flying in the upper atmosphere at about a 45-degree angle from where we stood. We commented to each other that it was probably watching the fireworks displays in Yreka and Lake Siskiyou (a lake immediately west of Mt. Shasta). About 30 seconds after the Grand Finale (10:10 p.m.) the object turned a bright red. It began moving slowly in a northwestward direction and we lost view of it as it passed behind a tree. Emerging from the other side of the tree, the glowing red object began to pick up speed, and made an abrupt turn westward. It then darted from that position (still about a 45-degree angle), and in about two or three seconds disappeared over the mountains on the horizon. This occurred about 10:12 p.m. It was too fast and too high in the atmosphere to have been a drone. When it sped west over the horizon, it was at super-sonic speed, yet did not have a tail, or light trail behind it like meteors have. I contribute this in hopes that others may also have saw it, and captured it on their cell-phone cam. It was so distracting, we paid more attention to it than we did the fireworks show. If it caught our attention that much, others must have surely witnessed it also. I’m anxious to see if it makes the newspapers or local news channels. It was a life changing experience.

Fireworks were being shot to the east of our house. My husband and I were in our bedroom, when I noticed a large, bright green light in the sky west of the fireworks. It was very visible through our bedroom window. I told my husband what I saw and he also started watching it. It hovered for about 2 minutes, then moved a little to the north, but in close proximity. It hovered again for about 2 minutes. My husband walked outside to see what it was doing. It suddenly took off to the east, towards our Air Force Base. It wasn't an airplane or a helicopter.

seen two flashing round objects appeared to be not larger than a few feet in width with flashing red/blue/green lights.... pointed it out to people standing next to me and they said they were drones... Round drones floating overhead? I never seen a round drone with multiple flashing lights. Nobody else seem to notice or care in the park that was watching the fireworks show. These object seemed to be observing from behind the event and floated up and off just like a balloon would and never came back down. This would be the first balloon I ever seen that had flashing lights....

Also had vertical bar-like, cage-like, look. Has the sun set the object seem to fade into the distance, get smaller finally disappearing without movement left or right. Used to spotting scope on tripod to focus for this description. 4 people we're on site and duplicated the description.

While walking on my ranch a white balloon caught my eye as it floated upward. Thought it was just a party balloon that got loose as I've seen before. It was too round, so I figured a weather balloon or a test balloon that the hot air balloonists use around here to measure wind currents. No reference as to size, it could have been a half-mile or more away. I was concerned because commercial aircraft regularly fly over around 20-30k feet on one leg of the instrument approach to San Francisco Bay area airports. I continued to watch and noticed a couple of black bands around the balloon at angles to each other that I thought was odd but at the distance it now was any detail was lost. The balloon continued it's assent and I noticed a few small wispy clouds in a clear sky above where it looked like it was heading. It reached the clouds and stopped it's ascent and appeared to move back and forth horizontally in short movements. (In hindsight what appeared to be horizontal was probably a small circular "holding" pattern). Directly above the balloon appeared what looked like a fuselage, cylindrical in shape, military gray/silver, like cold-war aircraft. However just the bottom of a cylinder, no wings or tail and the clouds obscured the ends of the cylinder. Then the balloon disappeared as well as the cylinder. So a craft ascending to the rendezvous marker clouds to meet a cloaked ship that had to become visible for a few seconds so the spherical craft could see to dock to the cylindrical ship.... I was sitting on a wall one day at a gas station a few years back when something caught my attention. I looked up at sky towards the hills and seen a star like object in sky yet it was too close to be a star so thought drone at first. It was still for a couple minutes then suddenly started moving slowly around and around making like a sideways 8. It did that for about another couple minutes until it split into two it seemed because suddenly two were making the sideways 8 synchronizing with each other around and around. The whole event happened for about 10 mins then it was gone disappeared? I didn't think of it as a ufo at first I wasn't really into stuff like that until the years passed and seeing things as such on media or YouTube I realized it was a ufo!

We decided to walk down to the dock and do the same. When we got to the dock we sat down for a few moments to wait for the other people to leave so we could sit at the very end. Eventually they left and we sat on the end. Just looking into the sky discussing our relationship problems no more than two minutes into the conversation we notice a light flying smoothly threw the sky, not fast like a jet and not slow like a airplane.. It just glided vertically through the sky and before we knew it, it zoomed up into the sky horizontally and just disappeared. As it zoomed up to disappear it didnt just move at a crazy speed its almost if it just faded up into the sky. We could depict what it was, we were ! so shocked we couldn't bring our minds the the thought of us actually sighting a ufo. Crazy part is, you'd think we'd be so stoked and tell our family, but its as if the whole moment slipped our mind cause we never brought up… i'm a strong believer so how could something like this just slip my mind til this year of 2018? How did i not instantly react and pull out my phone? It's like being stuck in the moment made us forget what was really happening… Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

At 10 pm, while taking out the garbage, I looked up at the sky and saw a curiously bright orange light approaching from the southwest. I ran inside to get my wife, and we both observed the light for a couple of minutes. We saw it slow down, change direction, and hover in the sky. It appeared to be at a higher altitude than any recreational drones I’ve ever seen, its movements were definitely not consistent with those of an airplane, and we did not hear any helicopter or aircraft sounds. It had a fiery, and slightly flickery or pulsing, orange glow and didn’t seem to have any blinking lights like a traditional aircraft. While it was hovering, I took a short, blurry cellphone video, then I ran in the house for five seconds or so to get a better camera. When I returned, it had vanished.

Very bright orange planet like light with slight orange tail in the North, North-West sky noticed high in the sky at 9:50 pm. I watched the object for 30 seconds or so and noticed it was moving very slowly East. A tiny red light was visible from the tail area. It was brighter than all other stars or planets, and 50% bigger than Venus. Did not look like the space station, which is smaller, moves much, much faster and which appears closer to earth. Went inside to grab camera and binoculars, light was still there, but began to slowly fade away. Red light plus slight shadow of a solid object were the last parts to be seen. We have quite a bit of air traffic in the area, and this looked nothing like an aircraft.

Roughly 1/5 of the way up the silhouette of Mount San Jasinto was 8 red lights above a blue line followed by another 8 red lights. All 3 sets of lights were parallel and evening spaced apart. Object was about 3 miles away and would guess it was 100' wide x 50' high. Moved slow around Canyon Ridge towards the bottom tram station. Then disappeared.

Every night at 10 PM sit on my back porch watch the sky and sure enough from west to east heading toward Reno, NV, from Sacramento these balls of light fly across the sky, sometimes changing direction this particular night it was approaching and let off a bright white piercing light shot forward and repeated that bright flash and cont' east towards Reno Nv … you can see these do this every night, balls of light. In the SSW about 45 degrees up, I noticed a white light about as bright as Venus appears in the morning sky right now, which is very bright. I'm not sure exactly how long it had been there, but the last time I looked at that part of the sky was about 15 seconds prior to when I noticed it. It was about 1 1/2 hand widths to the left of Jupiter and a little higher up. Perfectly stationary. As soon as I trained my binoculars on it, it dimmed to a faint star-like light, and through the binoculars it looked just like a star and continued dimming until it was no longer visible. I continued watching that area of the sky for another 10 minutes and didn't see anything else that was unusual.

Went outside on a clear night to see a bunch of moving white lights that were blinking red. Was going to pass it off as a bunch of jets, or something, before they vanished while we were looking at them, my husband got a picture of some of them, in the picture two were in the middle of zigzaging and you can clearly see the red zigzag. Also got video of them. My father in law said one came close to an airplane then zagged around it, two other people saw this one.

My wife and I had just returned from dinner to our room at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa, and walked out on the balcony, facing the ocean. Looking south towards San Clemente, we saw a bright orange/, red roundish ball of shimmering light coming up the coast, coming directly towards us, but slightly moving left to right and very slowly at the same time. The elevation was around 2,000 feet and we guessed the size of it was about the same as a large helicopter although it was clearly not a helicopter. It made no noise as it approached us and just as it was almost overhead, it started going nearly straight up and over the ocean with increasing speed until it got smaller and smaller. At this point we could no longer see it. I am an avid aviation enthusiast and have been to countless airshows, military and private, and have never seen anything like this.

I was sitting at a park near Pomona California at approximately 8:35pm with a friend and my dog watching a music video on my phone, when my friend frantically kept telling me to look at this object flying to the west of us. He asked me if it was a drone. When I did look I saw a circular object with multiple red, blue and green flashing lights moving NW just above the flight path of jets taking off from Ontario Airport in the San Bernardino County. I told my friend it can’t be a drone because it’s too close to the airport and that’s when the object stopped and went back heading SE for about 5 seconds, and then started making very tight circles at a fast rate of speed. As the object was doing these maneuvers in the sky there were jets taking off from the Ontario airport and knowing that when the jets do take off they hold at 5,000 ft until cleared to make their turn away from the airport. This object was above the jets at about an altitude of 15,000 ft. There is also a flightpath going west to LAX and those jets fly at 30,000 ft. These jets were definitely very high above this object. The object continued moving NW to East and South in tight maneuvers including going up and down about 5,000ft. Judging by the flashing lights of the object compared to the jets that were taking off and other jets that were very high up the object had flashing lights that did not resemble the lights on the jets plus the lights were very bright. We watched this object for about a good 5 minutes, until it started going SW at a very steep angle up, and it was out of sight in about 6 seconds.
