Inconsistent rapid flashing light, at the perceptual distance of a star. Some flashes like a flash bulb (very bright) moving NW to SE then slows to single pulsing light at about 15-20 sec intervals, extremely bright for its perceived distance. Slowly kept the 15-20 sec pulses till light weakened.

At 6:50 pm, my wife and I were in our backyard discussing Mexican food, when I looked up and saw at approximately 900-1000 feet high an odd looking object that was definitely not a plane or a helicopter and appeared to be carrying a triangle shaped second object. The main object (don't know what else to call it) was very shiny and appeared to be metallic. The top of the object resembled the shape of the letter S if it were faced backwards and seemed to have several strange cable like “arms” that were attached to and carrying the second object. My wife also saw the object and also was in awe and not sure what top make of it. We watched it travel in an awkward zig-zag pattern heading North-East as it gained altitude for about 2 minutes, until it was at a out of site. Shortly after, an airplane flew overhead in the direction of the strange flying object. I took a few pictures with my phone and a short video, which I will attach. We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he seemed to us to be quite sober-minded, and sincere, We suspect he is an excellent, and highly reliable, witness. PD

Around 1 a.m. about 4 lights started flying in formation with their lights flashing in secession. within 5 minutes of the first 4 lights, about 16 more joined and they began flying around in a fluid like motions huddling together and then dispersing. The lights were very high in the sky, and moved too quickly and changed direction too rapidly to be any known aircraft. After about 2 hours they started to disperse a few at a time until they were entirely gone from sight.

So I live near a military base and I am quite familiar with all the aircraft that land nearby or conduct exercises. I can always hear them I can differentiate weather it's a helicopter, osprey, jet. I can also see their lights on them. This time though I couldn't here a sound or see any wing or tail lights. I'm not one to jump to conclusions, I stayed around for a couple of minutes to see, well, anything. To my shock,there was nothing that I know could of caused what I just witnessed. It was two bright yellow lights in the night sky, when out of nowhere in a straight line they became 15, 25, 30 lights. They were standing still for a while, then they disappeared, and one reappeared and the same thing happened again like 30 new bright yellow lights appeared. They were there for 15 seconds then finally they all vanished. For some reason I kept thinking that it was like a train of lights in the sky making not a single sound and with no smoke or clouds as far as th! e eye can see. We spoke with this witness via telephone, and he sounded to us to be quite serious-minded. We suspect he is a very good witness. PD

9:30 PM PST 08/15/2017 Clear skies, no clouds, no moon. Minimal air traffic from SFO/OAK and local small aircraft. Naked eye star gazing, looking due East, which is somewhat void of anything bright. Travis AFB is just over the hills from my dark backyard view. The 18 new C-5's have been flying around the last few weeks and more than usual at all hours so I've had my binoculars handy. About 60 degrees above the horizon, looking due East, I thought my eyeglasses caught a very bright light reflection so I stopped scanning and focused on the area. 10-15 seconds later another bright reddish orange long flash and then darkness. I observed this 4 times and it jumped, not slowly moving...it jumped in a zig zag motion and flashed. I alerted my always skeptical gal to get outside to witness and she actually did. She saw a few flashes then jumps so I then grabbed my binoculars. Because it was NOT moving in a linear predictable manner or speed, I could not catch it with the binoculars, only naked eye. It seemed to be heading SE. It was far far brighter than Vega directly overhead and appeared as just a super bright flashing reddish/orange light unlike anything I've witnessed in 45 years of star gazing. About 5 planes traversed the night sky in a normal flight path and speed during the entire observation. I've reported before and this is my 2nd report with a witness. It was NOT a star, planet, meteor, plane, helicopter or satellite.

Solid white light very far away to the west. It was moving much too fast to be a plane, but too slow to be a meteor. It appeared to rise up from the horizon from the northwest, then gained altitude while heading south. It traveled for about 2 minutes and lost altitude, and the light went out as it was descending to the south, slightly southeast. Following a similar sighting on the previous evening of Saturday, August 12, 2017, I accepted an invitation on Sunday, August 13, 2017, from a former pastor friend and his wife to have dinner and then go outside and watch the Perseid meteor showers before the moon rose. After seeing a couple of very large ones, at about 10:00 PM the 3 of us witnessed a very similar repeat of the bright blue-white flash event at the same elevation and direction as I’d seen the previous night (as reported separately). This was also followed by perhaps 6 or 7 less intense flashes at irregular intervals, but their location kept randomly shifting slightly to the left or up or down. As the flashes became fainter, they moved slowly down and to the ESE for a considerable distance, finally becoming too faint to follow although by this time my pastor friend was tracking them with binoculars trying to see any detail (to no avail). My friends then told me that they’d seen similar fl! ashes in the same location at about the same time the night before. Then, at around 11:30 PM there was a reoccurrence of the flash at exactly the same position in the sky and just as brightly, followed by a couple of irregular but fainter ones, all with no apparent change in position and this time not followed by the receding movement of fainter flashes. After solidly dismissing the idea of any sort of aircraft we speculated that it might be flashes from a reflective panel on a rotating satellite or space station. But the irregularity of the flashes and the extreme brightness of the initial flash or two seemed to discount any sort of regular rotational cause. It left us clueless but not at all alarmed, thinking it might just be some sort of optical illusion that would find explanation later. But there was no mention of any similar sighting in Monday’s local newspaper. My companions have an amateur interest in astronomy and night sky viewing. My own background includes a lifetime amateur interest in the biological sciences, and later in the hard sciences (esp. quantum physics, astrophysics, cosmology, topology, etc.), but not UFO’s. Since 1965 have been a professional fine woodworker (luthier), spec. stringed musical instruments, involving fine measurements, close tolerances, good observational skills, and a good ear. (( We spoke via telephone with the witness, and we found him to be exceptional eloquent, and he seemed to be quite sincere and sober-minded. We suspect that he is an excellent witness. 8/13/2017 @ 9:32 p.m. Observing the sky for Perseid meteorites and noticed a light pulse above the Angeles Crest. I kept staring at the same spot to see if it would pulse again, and sure enough, 10 to 15 seconds later, another pulse. I called my son out to make sure I wasn’t imagining things and he confirmed what I was seeing. This continued 32 times. The light pulse was less that a second and varied in brightness each time. It traveled from west to the east and its path spanned approximately 15 degrees within 5 minutes time then finally stopped. I’ve seen many satellite fly overs but nothing like this. Can’t figure this one out???

My husband and daughter and I were sitting in the backyard around 9:00, waiting to watch for the meteor shower, when a red light, traveling in the flight pattern (west to east), came up. My husband asked what it was, I thought it was a helicopter but it made no sound, and as it passed over our house, there were no blinking lights, and it appeared to be oval in shape. A few seconds later, another light appeared, this time green. This repeated over a 20 minute period when another red light appeared then a white light appeared then another red. These lights moved in the same way a helicopter would and seemed about the same distance from the ground. Again, all lights were silent. We saw 1 red, and 1 green light about 2 nights before this, as well. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Good Morning Mr. Davenport, The time was 2100 hours. The objects appeared to be moving from west to east with a local flight pattern. They seemed to be about the size of a helicopter. There were no noticeable winds or changes as they went by and they were silent. I will try to get further information. They were bright like LED lights but they were not moving like balloons or anything. They moved similarly like a helicopter would and at about the same altitude. Very consistent. I hope this helps. UFO had running lights on, very similar to what you would see on a police helicopter. It was stationary, but very still. I noticed it and remarked on why is a helicopter sitting like that, right there? Then it moved, morphed shape several times, changed color of lights, disappeared all together several times, and flew at very high rate of speeds, at very low altitudes, and even though it appeared to be very close to us, it had no sound. Shortly after it left the area, several military type aircraft circled around where it had been. And up very high in the night sky, what looked like moving stars (not meteors) much like a commercial airliner up high in the sky, but it looked like a tiny star moving in different directions, towards where the initial UFO had gone out of sight.

Eight of us are sitting around a campfire watching Peseid Meteor showers on Saturday night, August 12, 2017. UFO appeared from the north traveling south in a straight line. Its shape was best describes as a chevron or a flat line with tails like this [. It covered the entire length of the night sky in about 3 seconds. Four of the eight exclaimed immediately, “Wow, did you see that?” Two of the people who saw it said it zig zagged in the middle of its path and then continued on in a straight line. The other two, myself included, did not notice any deviation from its north to south trajectory. There was no tail like we were seeing from the larger meteors we saw. Its size was also much larger than any of the meteors. There was no sound. The color was white with a slight blue tint. The light we saw also appeared to pulse brighter and darker as it traveled across the sky. My initial thought and reaction was that we were seeing a military spy plane traveling at a high rate of speed, yet after processing it in my brain, the distance and speed it traveled far exceeded anything written about possible USA spy planes i.e. Aurora.

An unusual nighttime sighting, both alone, and with friends, during the recent 2017 Perseid meteor shower was dismissed as some sort of odd, but probably explainable, visual illusion. But 4 evenings later while driving I was listening to Coast to Coast and heard a mention of several similar accounts reported from the U.S. and Turkey, so will add our experiences (in two reports) to the mix. Around 2:00 AM on Saturday, August 12, 2017, I had just returned home to Grass Valley, CA, after a flight from Phoenix, AZ, and after unpacking the car went back outside to see if any of the Perseids might be visible. There were very few but while looking NNE at around 3:00 AM there was an extremely bright blue-white flash about 35° up which lingered and faded for maybe a full second, followed quickly by another dimmer flash, and then a couple more that were even fainter, although not at regular intervals. At first I assumed it was a plane, but it was stationary and there were definitely no colored running lights or associated sounds. I’m familiar with helicopters doing nighttime searchlight operations, but the lights were just flashes with no downward beam. My background includes a lifetime amateur interest in the biological sciences, and later in the hard sciences (esp. quantum physics, astrophysics, cosmology, topology, etc.), but not UFO’s. Since 1965, have been a professional fine woodworker (luthier), spec. stringed musical instruments, involving fine measurements, close tolerances, good observational skills, and a good ear. 1) A very bright white light flashed on the south horizon and proceeded to the north horizon, flashing irregularly, but frequent enough to track its trajectory easily. It traveled faster than anyone present had ever previously observed. The flashes were one to two seconds in duration. It appeared to be in the upper atmosphere, substantially higher than the many aircraft nearly constantly present. We also saw plenty of satellites, which moved at a fraction of the object. I estimate it traveled from horizon to horizon in less than 15 seconds. 2) Approximately 20 minutes later the light reappeared, but this time it was directly in the center of our field of view, around 35-40 degrees above the horizon. It flashed with the same frequency, but remained near motionless in the sky. I believe it did move, but so little some of us felt it was completely motionless. It remained in position for approximately 5 minutes, and then stopped flashing. When it was not lit, the sky appeared empty at its location. I am an Air Force vet, trained weather observer, and this event was unique in my experience. This was no meteor, of which we saw many. None of us had an explanation for what we saw beyond the possibility that we witnessed secret technologies of our military (our location was approximately 120 miles from the Groom Lake, NV area), or a UFO of extraterrestrial origin. This was pure speculation, and the entire incident remains a puzzling mystery. I do note that this sounds very similar to the descriptions of others on this site.

Bright flash of light followed by 1-2 smaller lights separating and moving slowly away. Repeated 10 + times with a general pattern of events moving north to south. Smaller objects moved laterally and upward unlike a meteor on atmospheric entry. Bright flash of larger object was bright white and uniform on each instance.

I noticed while I was standing on a friend's terrace, looking up at the skyline of buildings in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. It was so faint, almost as if it blended into the sky and had to focus really hard to see it. It moved slowly across the sky, much slower than the planes and helicopters flying in the same view. It hovered for a few minutes traveling north/northeast and began to fade and disappear. The color of light was a pale blue and it wasn't luminous and slightly transparent. The sky was clear and very close to a full moon (which just passed a few nights ago). When I first noticed it, I could see enough that I would notice the shape of it slowly changing, affecting its brightness at times.

I was walking around at night. I was under a brightly lit parking lot, so i couldnt see the stars, but then i noticed a light that started very dim and got brighter, and then faded out again. I would describe it as looking exactly like a lighthouse light rotating around. I kept watching and it kept fading back in and out. Sometimes it would be a sudden bright light turning on and off, but it was mostly like a lighthouse light rotating most of the time. While I was under the brightly lit area I was unable to determine if it was moving or not, but it appeared to stay in the same spot as I walked. I was able to get to a darker area where I could see the stars, and I watched it continue to rotate in and out of brightness, but it was becoming less frequent and less bright. Then i noticed it was moving away slowly, and i eventually lost sight of it. Some might say this is an iridium flare, but it kept on rotating for about five minute, and sometimes would just flash a single light. It was very bright at first, so bright that I could see it under the brightly lit area I was under. I think the brightness of it had decayed significantly once I was able to see the rest of the stars. I also saw 2 other lights moving across the sky. I've seen these before, and think they might have just been satellites, but I figured I should report it since I saw them around the same time.

I witnessed a bright orange light traveling from the southeast abruptly stop. The light diminished, then the object became shrouded in a sphere. It then abruptly changed direction, traveling due South at high speed, until disappearing into the void of space.

I stood watching it for 10 minutes called my hubby he looked at it for another 15 mins, it was very bright at times but was very still and did not move. After watching it for a while, we both went to bed. Hour later my hubby got up to look at the object again and when he looked up at the sky, it was gone. Maybe it was nothing, maybe it was?

It was not especially high in the sky, appearing just over the view of the homes across the street from us, no higher than an average helicopter height, but it did not move at all like a helicopter, nor did it have any sound. If it had been a helicopter it would have been closer to where we sat based on the perspective of its position and relative size to the homes and we would have heard a sound, seen its lights and the manner that it moved. It began to slowly change directions and altitude getting higher and heading north. As it did, the light extended out looking more like a rocket's contrail; however you could faintly see a dark elongated shape in front of the contrail. It did not accelerate quickly or move in an exaggerated way, rather it steadily gained altitude, steadily moved in a north-easterly direction, and the contrail continued to elongate and stayed quite bright almost white. In other words although it resembled a rocket's contrail it never had a fiery look. As it reached a zenith height of what I estimate to be approximately 10 to 15 miles its contrail began to fade until it simply faded out and vanished. There were no clouds to obscure it, no darkness to cover it, it simply disappeared, but slowly as if it were erased bit by bit. I know of no known rocket that can hover and then proceed to leave the atmosphere at such a relatively slow controlled pace, let alone disappear or fade out.

To much to list. In person or phone interview would be better,. Malibu CA, 2017. March July to September. I whitnessed many sightings. And my last sighting was a few weeks ago. Several crafts. Are docked under water. They are operating at ate night . The crafts appear to be like fighter jets . But smaller . About the size of a car. They pop out of the water. About 50 yards from the shore. I was standing on the beach one night. I saw several crafts emerge from the surface and fly away. I also say beings around the crafts . Malibu is a strange town . Has many secrets. I could go there on any night. And I could see some type of activity. Not just faint. But real stuff. No b.s. not camre magic. You gotta see in order to believe. The crafts make a loud thumping noise. You can feal the ground vibrating like a train passing by. And they do make the power lines go crazy. You can hear the static electricity on the powerlies from the telephone poles , when they are near.
