It would slow and speed it up- when slowing, the fan shape would become taller from top to bottom above and below the light. When it would accelerate, the fan shape would compress and seem seem to trail longer behind the light instead of taller... I pointed it out to my neighbor and he also saw it. He immediately called it a Strange Occurance… Rocket launch from Vandenberg AFB. PD

Approximately five minutes went by and I looked up again. That is when I saw a green light. It was the size of a dot and only slightly larger than the bright star I was looking at just a few minutes before. It appeared to be very high in altitude in the night sky. It was to the left of the bright star that was slightly north of the other stars in the sky. This green dot was flashing. The green color was as vivid in color as a traffic light. The flash was one flash per second. Again, this was directly over where I was sitting. I went inside to call my neighbor in order to get a second witness, but she was not home. I came back outside thinking the object had gone away, but it was still there. It then moved to the right slightly blocking the bright star. The green flashing dot all of a sudden changed to a red flashing dot. Same tempo of flashes and red color as vivid as a stop light. For approximately one minute it flashed red and then slowly drifted east all the while flashing. It moved east until the tall oak trees in my yard blocked my vision of the object in the sky.

September 23rd, 2017, I can't remember the exact time but I know it was between 8:30-10:30 PM, I saw a red & green "flash" hovering in the sky near Dollywood. It hovered in the same position for 30-45 minutes, at least that's as long as I saw it before I went inside. I briefly thought that it might have been some kind of drone, but the longer it hovered in the same place I believe it could have been a UFO. I didn't see those lights any other time besides that night, & I know for sure it wasn't a cell tower, radio tower, etc. because I had the same view in daytime. Standing outside, me and my fiancé were talking waiting on kids to come home, when I saw a bright light moving. I thought it was just another airplane, but I didn't hear any noise. He hadn't yet seen it until I moved from the house looking in the sky. We stood there watching it waiting to see the blinking lights of the plane which never showed up. As it was moving at a good speed there was no noise just a bright light. The light got bright as it got over head, we continued watching it and as it went over our house it faded to black. I ran inside to tell Granny, he was still watching for it to see if he could see it. It never showed back up and the was no airplane lights that blinked on it.

Stationary flashes of varying intensity occurring 10-60 seconds apart over the course of 5-10 minutes between 8:30 and 9:00 pm EST 09/23/17. This occurred in the south between the arm star Sadalsuud in Aquarius and the stars Scheddi and Nashira in Capricorn in a quarter-sized portion of the sky closer to Capricorn. Observed for 5 minutes then called a witness to confirm. Observed a plane passing below lights from east to west around 8:40 followed by a second plane at same degree above horizon passing from west to east around 8:50. Near 9pm Est lights could no longer be seen. Sky was exceptionally clear. Flashes seemed to be at a greater distance than planes. Flashes seemed to emanate from central sources approximately the size of stars. Some flashes were like brief glimpses of stars, others were faint and lacked a clear central source. Flashes lasted less than one second and did not move during that time. Though they did not seem to appear in the same spot twice.

Some friends were driving in separate cars northbound on Huron St. from 104th Ave to 112th Ave. It just started to rain and there was lightning and clouds north of us. During a large multiple flash sequence of high altitude lightning, my friend and I saw a large grayish white spherical object with a black crescent shape at the four o’clock position on the sphere. It was a perfect sphere, like a giant cue ball in the sky. The sphere appeared to be 2-3 times larger than a full moon. It was due north of me and about 45 degrees above the horizon. My first thought was that this was a hot air ballon, but much larger and without any basket below. No one would be piloting a balloon at this time in the evening. It emitted no light other than a dull reflection of the surrounding lightning. When we arrived at our destination, I asked my friend if he saw this object, and to my surprise he said he also saw it and thought it was awesomely amazing. I’m an amateur astronomer with over 40 years of telescope experience and ten years of astrophotography experience. It’s hard to say how long this object stayed in the location, because I was driving and could not pull over to observe it. I turned east and lost track of the object behind buildings. It was only visible during the lightning flashes.

Tonight, around dusk, I was feeding my cats, when I looked up to the sky and saw a round object. It was a solid ball of light. No colors just a bright light. It moved slow and emitted no sound. As it got closer, I looked down for a split second, looked back up and it was gone. The sky was clear, there were no clouds for it to go behind. I am a housewife from Southeastern, Ky.

There was a light in the sky almost looked like a V it had like and aura on both sides of it, the light moved slowly and it glowed on both sides then just disappeared. Never saw anything like it before.

My friend and I saw a red light with light blue wings coming from the top and bottom. Like a bow and arrow with out the arrow. It moved slowly and when it disappeared the wings went first then the red light shined bright then went out. I recorded it on my phone but went back to look and said the videos were unavailable.

There were four lights in a straight line all flashing different colors or red, blue, and green. a little bit in front of the line, there was one singular light that pulsated blue. It started moving towards us after two minutes, and started to fly over us. Right before it came over us, it emitted a sound that sounded like a dirt bike engine, then two side lights came on next to the big one. We only saw one light with our eyes, but caught all 5 on camera.

We then drove around the building and witnessed it eventually came to a complete stop. As we watched it for another minute or so we saw it now not only move to the left or right. But change direction and climb upward into the sky and slightly to the right. Then it came to another stop and moved left yet again. The light was too large and bright to be a controlled drone. It moved therefore it wasn't a star. And when it moved it changed direction multiple times and almost seemed to float therefore to the best of my knowledge it was no plane or small meteor. Lastly, we had to drive out of sight as the cars behind us became impatient and that was the last we saw of it.

Driving down Mercer, heading West, saw a crescent shaped light near the Space Needle (not the moon) looked like it could be a halogen light for construction except the light was too far up to be related to the space needle construction. Saw the UFO for about 30 seconds then lost sight because of buildings - when I had a clear view of the Space Needle, again, it was gone. The witness indicates a morning sighting, but we wonder whether it might have been a nighttime sighting. Watched a very colorful flashing sphere in the northeast sky. Thought it might be a star until it actually moved very fast a short distance. Took my cell phone camera and zoomed in as much as possible, could see the flashing spinning red, green, blue, red and white lights. Another person was with me and also took cell phone video. Went back the next early a.m. and did not see it. Will look again in the morning. "Twinkling" star?? PD

Stepped outside to have a smoke, and I tend to look at the sky, and to the northeast sky, I see a light, flashing like a plane far off in the distance would, but I noticed the object wasn't moving away or towards me but rather up and down, rather quickly. Also it moved in an oval shape from time to time and also in a close figure eight movement. It also seemed to turn, that's when I noticed it wasn't really flashing but something else. I really can't explain how this thing was moving. I have a few videos I tried to take. You can clearly see the light/object. You can see it moving sporadically up and down, side to side. My heart was pounding a few times because of the way this thing was moving, and how fast and precise it was. Honestly amazing.

Saw a silver color plane flying in the sky with shape like almost a eagle (two triangles on the side and pointy front) and round belly (disc) or base. It could camouflage, i believe.

I was sitting on my back porch last night looking at the stars. It was a clear night with minimal humidity. I live in aa neighborhood that is pitch dark at night. There was.no noise or evidence of any one out and about that time of night. Out the corner of my eye, I noticed an orange/yellowish light. In that moment, a sphere of fiery looking light energy moved quickly down the alley by the back of my house. This fireball moved quickly in a lateral trojectory with no sound approximately 20ft away from where I was sitting and no more than 15ft above the ground. The total event lasted 5 - 8 seconds and disappeared. There was only 1 fireball. A dog in the neighborhood started barking about the time this fireball started to disappear. The fireball was about the size of a large cantaloupe. It startled me and still can't believe what my eyes saw. I went out the next morning and didn't see any evidence of anything burning. I am a medical professional with a Masters degree and post graduate studies.

I have 28 years of military and commercial aviation experience as an aircraft technician and CH-46 Crew Chief, USMC. I know the difference between enemy aircraft, satellites, commercial and private aircraft, helicopters, military flares, their designated flight paths, and their colored lights and flashing patterns. While observing a low altitude airplane flying in a normal flight pattern at night, I noticed above it a glowing white satellite of unknown origin hovering at a high altitude, and then moving in unusual patterns never seen before in my life. It was like it was standing post, as if guarding me, moving sideways because it seemed to be following me over the motel that I am staying at. One of the best experiences I have had ever in my life. No pictures yet, as I am confident there will be more to come in broad daylight. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) The following are responses to your inquiries: approximate time 21:59 Eastern Standard: date 09/22/2017: indeed, it was a satellite but of unknown origin, as satellites do not move in zig zag patterns, or hover at approximately 20,000 feet with an approximate oval diameter slightly larger than a star in the background: moreover, I use apps called "Star Walk 2" and "Star Guide" for night photography, and saw no listings of any known satellites in space that would fit on their maps.
