I am an Architect. I experienced an event that I am unable to explain. My wife and I own a second home on Velvet Lake, a small quite and private lake on the north end of the Crow Wing State Forest located about 4 miles east of Crosslake, Minnesota. We are at the end of the road. There are about thirty or so other cabins on the lake and because it is late in the season, with winter setting in, not many people were up at their cabins; not many lights on around the lake. Our closest neighbors, about one hundred yards away to the north of us, were at their place but no one was out or down by the lake. On the evening of October 28, 2017, my wife and I were enjoying one last campfire for the year. Our cabin is on the east-southeast side of the lake so sitting at the fire pit looking at the lake we are facing west-north west. Our fire pit is set back about 15 yards from the edge of the water. At about 19:00 my wife decided to go up to the cabin and warm up, I stayed at the campfire. When I got up to stir the logs I looked out across the lake and noticed what appeared to be 5 very bright stars off in the distance. I'm a star gazer, usually looking for satellites and shooting stars, but I've never seen anything like this before. I wasn't even looking for stars that night because the sky was too cloudy, only a few stars were visible directly above me with the half moon behind me shrouded in clouds; it wasn't worth the effort. No other stars were view-able across the lake. Looking almost due north these stars or lights were all in a horizontal line and appeared to be stationary and separated almost equal distances apart. The lights appeared to be a long way away, miles out in the distance and not just across the lake. The lights were low to the horizon, maybe 10 to 15 degrees above the horizon and appeared to be just a few degrees above the dark treeline in the distance. The lights were orange-red, like the color of a flame... almost lite rust in color. The lights were bright and distinct, many times the brightness of any other star. The lights were steady in intensity. The lights were not large, maybe twice the size of what Mercury looks like, but a lot brighter. No twinkling! No blinking! No changing of colors. They were bright, steady and intense. My first thought was maybe they are hanging or lingering fireworks that I didn't hear. They lights didn't fade away and just stayed there. My thoughts then were "what the hell! What am I looking at? What is that!?" I headed to the lake to get a better look. I'm not a UFO person so as I walked to the lake I'm trying to justify it in my mind and I'm thinking that it must be a military line of aircraft in some kind of flying formation. I had a quick thought of yelling up to my wife but she was long gone by then so I didn't call to her as I walked towards the lake. By the time I traversed the 15 or so yards to the lake the stars are now moving. They appeared to go from a slight diagonal line slanting upwards from low on the right (north) to high on the left (west) side. They formed the shape of a cup, like the big dipper, with two high lights further apart above the two lower lights. I don't remember seeing the fifth light at this time. I said to myself out loud, "how can the big dipper be that close to the ground". And then the lights started moving upward and away from me in the same direction but different paths. This was not the Big Dipper! I'm thinking that I should be taking photos of this with my phone and I'm thinking that I couldn't get my phone out fast enough and I wouldn't capture it anyway. So I decided to watch instead of fumbling with a phone. I'm regretting that decision because anything would have been better than not doing anything. The lights are still moving slow. I'm again thinking that they are military, they are moving like helicopters so I listened for any sounds of motors of any sort to coincide or explain what I'm seeing. No engine sounds, no echos, no distant rumblings, nothing. The lights continue to move slowly and steadily upwards. They seemed to have be moving at the same speed... not catching up to each other or getting further apart. One by one they disappeared from view like flying into the clouds. First the upper and lower lights on the right side disappear, seconds apart in the same direction but different paths and then the other two lights on the left side disappeared in the same fashion within seconds of each other. This all happened within two to three minutes. I was dumbfounded and headed back to the campfire. I sat down and thought about it, trying to remember what I saw, and then I thought "what time is it?" I looked at my phone and it was 19:09. I'm writing this on 10-29-2017 at 15:00 the day after the experience, about 21 hours later. This is what happened to the best of my recollection and memory. I'm unable to get my mind around this and I'm trying to find a reasonable explanation. I saw what I saw! Unfortunately I was by myself and didn't take any photos. Could they have been some of those Chinese lanterns that people release into the night sky? If so it wasn't anyone on the lake because these where miles out in the distance. Can you see those types of lanterns from miles away? Do they rise up fast enough to disappear in minutes? Any help will be appreciated.

I figured it was probably a plane but it was moving very slow. At times not moving at all. Then the light started changing colors, sometimes flashes of Red Lights sometimes white lights but it would be the whole light not a part of the light. It stood still for a several minutes as the lights got dimmer and dimmer, until it was no longer visible to me. The whole thing lasted between 10-12 minutes. Around 5pm on a clear, sunny day, I spotted a slow moving craft about 500 feet above me. I originally thought it was a small airplane and disregarded it further, but when I noticed the craft stopped and hovered I paid closer attention and realized that it was no plane. Planes don’t hover. And it was not shaped like a helicopter, it was cigar shaped. Indeed I could not see any wings or rotary blades on it, just a white cigar shaped craft with a lone slow, blinking light at the rear of the craft. The light was very interesting. It wasn’t the normal cobalt blue you might see on a plane. It was more of an aqua color, which would then become a lighter aqua after it blinked and then blink back to the darker aqua. And it would blink more slowly than a typical craft light. Even more bizarre was after about every 10 blinks, a large square black object seemed to replace the light for about 3 seconds only to be replaced back by the blue blinking light. This black door would take up about one third of the craft and then completely disappear whenever the blue light came back on. I thought maybe a cargo door was opening and closing, that’s my best guess, but the switch happened too quickly. In fact there was something that defied the laws of physics about that black square. It was so densely black that it felt like a black hole had opened up, not just a cargo door. Also, the white body of the craft seemed to have a white mist around it – its outline seemed blurred by the mist – which was odd because there were absolutely no clouds in the sky. And there was no vapor trail tailing behind the craft. By contrast the lines of the black square were extremely crisp, no mist, no blur. I pointed the object out to some passing neighbors and they too thought it was an odd craft. We all agreed it couldn’t be a blimp and but instead seemed like a UFO. After about 3 minutes the craft stopped hovering and proceeded eastbound at the same slow pace. I looked away for about 15 seconds and when I returned my gaze the craft was gone. I am a truck driver and was driving on PA turnpike back from Philadelphia on 476 north somewhere close to 6:40 AM. Close to lansdale there was a bright blue and white light about 1500 feet In the air. shaped like a boomerang like triangle with a line like a tail Hanging down from the middle. The entire object was covered in extremely bright blue white lights just hovering in the air. There were five of them each about 5 miles apart spread out along 476 as I drove towards quakertown. Each strange object had the same shape and bright lights hovering still above the turnpike and each was about five miles apart from the next.

I saw 2 unusual bright lights in the sky. As i was studying the lights a 3rd craft flew directly into my direction and over my car at a super low altitude. I did not hear a sound and it had 6 super bright lights however it did not light the ground below it. It was SUPER fast , I repeat, this craft made no sound. At this point i lost sight of the original 2 craft on the horizon. I am an aircraft mechanic. I know of NO type of silent aircraft. I also am located on Logans approach, so I see a lot of traffic but not from the south heading north.

Was driving south on I-5 something told me to look up and when I did I seen a big fireball light come into view like a comet going in one direction then all of a sudden it zig zagged to the left like a z shape then took off at hyper speed was super cool to witness

My husband first saw the cigar shaped object in the sky. He ran in and got me. When I made it outside all I could catch was the back end of it going over the tree tops. Through the trees I could see a dim flickering, almost like the paper lanterns, there was no sound, and the object was huge, at least the size of a greyhound bus. This has been about the 3rd time since the beginning of summer since we have seen these objects. Was not able to get clear video.

I was outside with my dog and noticed random lights scattered around the sky that had a similar appearance as the stars. Yet, the look of them seemed off some how. While looking at them, one started to appear like it waz coming down out of the sky directly at me. It came down close enough at me, I was able to record video of it until it moved off and I lost sight of it behind some trees. It was a mostly circular light (had some slight variations in shape) with some slight color changes to it. It is a similar type light used on some of the drones I see out. Lots of suspicious drone activity around here. And, now even more suspicious that some of the drones (if thats what every flying object I see is? As I also saw a larger triangle shaped flying object few weeks later) have lighting that appears similar to these light orbs. After recording the light orb, I immediately started showing my video to other people... some of whom told me they had seen similar light orbs elsewhere. I want to know what these light orbs are, why some of the drones are using lights similar to these light orbs and why the orbs and some drone lights look similar to the stars in the sky? This, in addition to the fake looking clouds and weird sunsets etc, I have been seeing. I have tried getting answers through people at local airport, geo-engineer staff, city workers... and just get different answers from everyone....which tells me someone is lying or noone seems to know what is happening. Went to the radio station as well. Also, since I show people my video. and pics, I am having more people approach me to share stories about light orbs they are seeing... and all within past few months... aaahh. Anywho, I am nearing 40, have multiple college degrees, have always enjoyed observing sky... grew up in Montana, aka the Big Sky State. And, have noticed different looks to the sunsets, clouds, and color variations in the sky here... not sure what up. Thank you for your time and this site. P.S. i would email you my video of the light orb yet data size obstructs me from doing so, az i have tried sending to other people...if you know way that works, would gladly do. Thanks!

It was a crisp and clear night, dry, after two days of rain. I stepped outside to the front yard, which faces south, to get something out of my car, when right in front of me about 10 thousand feet up was a bright silvery-white light, slightly oblong, without defined shape. It was smoothly and silently headed southeast east, but as I went out to get a better view of it, it moved in a very smooth arc due east, out toward the bay and open ocean. Its speed was constant, faster than a small prop plane, but not quite as fast as a jet. I had the impression that it saw me take notice of it. That's when it changed direction from SE to E. There were no flashing lights, just the solid bright white light. It was very similar if not identical to others that I have observed over my house in the past several months. All were headed east or southeast, from the west or north west. This flight direction is opposite the flights of airliners from Greene Airport in Warwick, RI, where they fly on a northeast-southwest line over my house. I am about three miles from the south shore ocean of RI. Others I have observed faded out soon after I saw them moving, though their dark outline remained...darker than the sky. This object made no move to hide itself, but kept the same elevation as I watched it head out over the town of Narragansett and out toward open water to the east. I knew it would be a matter of time until I spotted another; it had been a few months since last seeing one. Because of the chance encounters I have had and their numbers, it makes me conclude that either there have been several or many more fly overs at different times that I have missed, or they are making their flyovers when I'm actually out and looking! It does seem like they want me to observe them, and possibly even report them. It makes me wonder.

I was headed southbound on the CTA bus on Damen Ave. on 10/27/17 the day way heavily overcast. Somewhere between Clyborn street and Webster where less buildings were the best to my recolection is where I noticed this object in the sky. I was looking up towards the West sky noticed how thickly covered in clouds it was then that moment there was a parting of the clouds and I saw a shpere. It was gray with a glow almost luner like, did not do anything but just stay there for that brief moment and the clouds covered it up again.

I sighted an unidentified moving object from the shore of Ocean Beach San Diego California at about 2 pm October 27 2017. Duration of sighting was between 5 and 10 minutes. On this day the weather was very hot and dry as Santa Ana weather condition gave way to clear unlimited visibility and a cloudless bright blue sky. I was laying on my back on the sandy beach so naturally I was looking skyward. My feet were pointed straight to the surf so my body was aligned northwesterly looking out to sea. The sun was about 40 degrees to my left. As I watched an airliner pass by at mid altitude (approx. 10,000 feet) I noticed it pass by a small white spot in the sky. The spot was roundish, stationary, and had the washed out white color the moon has on a sunny day. This led me to think I was looking at Venus or some other celestial object though I was skeptical as I have never seen any celestial object in the bright day sky other than the moon. For the next several minutes I stared at the spot for a short while and then looked away for a moment and looked back up again still puzzled at what I was looking at. After looking away, relocating it took a few moments as the small spot was difficult to see against the bright blue sky so I pointed straight at it so I could better relocate it. From a perpendicular skyward view I pointed about 20 degrees to my right and about 20 degrees forward. Again I looked away for a short while and looked back up to relocate the spot, but I did not see it. I pointed my finger in the direction I had just pointed a moment ago but the spot was gone. I scanned the sky for a few seconds and I relocated the spot. The spot had moved about 15 degrees to my left and was stationary. Now my attention was peaked. I could rule out Venus or any other celestial object. I stared intently at the spot for about 10 or 15 seconds when suddenly it appeared to move very slightly in a circular motion. The movement was hard to tell against the bright blue sky so I extended and steadied my left hand and finger to try and gauge movement. In the next few seconds I confirmed the spot was moving slightly in a circular motion, grew in brightness, then dimmed and vanished. End of story. As an observer of credibility I want to note that I am a middle aged adult with fine far vision (no glasses). I had sunglasses and viewed the object with and without my sun glasses. I was not under the influence of any drug, alcohol, or medication. Since childhood I have been an avid sky watcher. I am sure what I saw that day was not of this Earth. There have been a lot of birds in the sky today feeding on the palm trees in my yard so I've been looking up a lot. I saw four circling- what I believed to be Birds initially -flying super high in the sky- much higher than I've seen birds fly and they were curious to me as they were white. As I looked at them, they seemed to start reflecting light-brightly. My "white birds" seemed to have silver underbellies. They were moving circularly initially and then broke into a Southeast Direction and as they got closer to me I could see that they were dispersing the air circularly around them. It was very faint but our air is totally dirty today and cloudless. The air dispersment was visible through their entire movement South East. The closer they got to me it became clear that they were not reflecting light as much as they were pulsing out a light. Their Southeast motion was like a regular flight-i mean to say they weren't circling.

I was travelling north on Interstate 5 just south of the Irvine Spectrum and saw what I thought was a plane pulling a banner near the old Verizon Amphitheater. The "banner" was towards the north and the "plane" was towards the south. I then realized that the objects were actually moving north towards the Irvine Spectrum so the "banner" had to be something else unless it was being pushed by the "plane." The formation then crossed Interstate 5 heading east. The formation consisted of four separate objects flying in close proximity. The objects were shiny and appeared disc-like. The front three objects were very close to each other; the forth was trailing behind. Once the objects crossed the interstate one of the object in the group of three broke formation and went straight up very quickly. I then lost sight of the remaining three object. Three planes in sky with vapor trails, then oval white orb appeared to follow one of the planes going west. The UFO followed the one plane above it. Then it moved behind the plane. It had no vapor trail. The UFO moved from above to below plane them went behind it and then followed it as it moved above and below it, then the UFO moved above it, then to the right front of plane it was slightly smaller the plane in size. I thought that there would be a collision because it moved to the front of the plane (VERY CLOSE) then it moved up and disappeared west bound. There must have been people in the plane or pilots must have seen it. The sky was clear and blue. The UFO stood out very clear from my location. It whole thing was about 8 minutes. Very large circular flat disc with little greenish lights flashing hovering in one spot. Looked hazy around the object. No sound! It was very low and very big!!! I was driving, and we stopped to stare at it in the middle of the road. This thing was huge! We turned down the residential street to get closer and it was gone! We drove around and around and nothing! Craziest thing I’ve ever experienced! My friend and I could not believe it!

I positioned myself to get a better view and it wasn’t a street light, it wasn’t anything like I had seen before, like it was on fire and brighter than the sun! I went into the garage and told my friend Craig to come check it out. At first, he couldn’t see it, but as soon as he did he said, What ((words deleted)) is that and as soon as he said that the object turned bright white and was gone faster than a blinking eye. It was like poof vanished in to thin air. We stood in the patio for about the next hour just watching if anything would reappear, but noting. The distance we were at from the object was probably 20 miles and it was about .75” wide evenly, it would fit behind your thumb at arm’s length. No noise, no atmospheric change, no obvious differences. I did find out that exactly when we spotted it at 11:39, a 2.5 mag Earthquake occurred in coastal OR. Unbelievably bizarre, I don’t have any explanation for what we saw…

All of this lasted maybe ten secs. The light was not blinking. It was only one color. It was ABSOLUTELY VOID OF SOUND!! It was 11:29 PM Eastern time. We live approximately an hour & thirty minutes from Fort Jackson. We are familiar with the sounds of fighter jets and military flyovers. What I saw was faster than ANY FIGHTER JET, was closer than I've ever seen a fighter jet appear without emitting sound. It was both terrifying and completely amazing to witness. Two smaller beams of noiseless, unblinking lights INSTANTLY SPLIT from one large light. I am not crazy. I consider myself a reasonable human being. I know what I saw. Unfortunately, it happened so fast and my mind was trying to process what I was witnessing-I did not have time to record moment. I was in utter disbelief. Afterwards, waves began to heavily lap on shores of north and south side of lake. There was zero wind on this night.

My boyfriend yelled for me to hurry outside. All he said is what is that. I took too long to focus on it and all I could see was that it was something with no lights. He said it was a plane but the lights were so dim. Like not lights to see ahead of you, more like interior lights. whhaaatever. ok... The next night he yells again. Not to be tricked again i stayed on the couch. He comes running in saying he saw" something HUGE in the sky. all black, no lights, so sound with a line coming out of the back of it connected to a smaller version of it. like towing it along" trippin! but he's so enthusiastic I keep looking around. "Look!" he says again and points. then i see one. just a small boomerang shape gliding across the sky. after a couple minutes there's another one. and another. For about two or three hours we watched these things sail silently above us. so many we actually got bored looking at them. The next night. He's down on the street and I'm up on the balcony telling him something. I glance down the road and see "the HUGE one". It was shaped like a bomber but rounded. absolutely silent. so low! like i could throw a rock and hit it. just sailing peacefully straight down the road. we were both staring. awestruck. I remember saying it reminded me of a mantaray. I don't know why. When we talked later he said the back of it looked like it was waving like a flag but I didn't notice that. I can't stress enough how big it was. and then, more little ones. Finally we decide on a plan of action. Shine a spotlight flashlight at one. And we do just that. And it comes to a slow stop, changes direction, and glides away. Never saw another one. Worst plan ever. I still look up hoping, wishing the batteries had been dead in that flashlight. These things were solid black with a solid outline, not birds or anything like that. They were there. My boyfriend and I both agree they appeared two dimensional. like a shadow. or more like a cutout. I can't explain it better than that
