I observed what appeared as an 'airborne-flame', very similar in appearance to a typical fireplace, or barbeque flame, of amber-orange color. It was roughly due-east of Susanville, CA; appearing to be approx. in the area of the CA/NV, state-line, at an approx. altitude, of 10K-20K ft. I initially thought that it could have been an aircraft, which suddenly burst into flames- but so far, I have heard no such reports.

High altitude, above 30,000 ft, slowly creeped around blue sky for miles and probably hours, so small it hurt my eyes to hold focus but could definitely catch the glint of light bouncing off the bottom side of the craft as it wobbled or rotated, like a faint star in the daytime. We were driving south on the 71 when we saw a flash greenish/yellow that lit up the whole area that made it look like day time. At first we thought it was probably a some sort of lightning, when 15 seconds later another flash occurred exactly the same way. It was something we didn't understand at the time, but was amazed how that flash made the night seem like it was morning.

My wife and I were in our back yard on Tuesday, February 13, at about 10:00 p.m. We both noticed a white cloud or light which resembled the exhaust from a jet plane across the sky. However, neither my wife nor I had noticed that type of plane exhaust across a night sky. The object remained in the sky for more that 15 minutes and so I decided to take a picture of the streak across the sky. It was to our amazement to see the bright light as the source of the “cloud” phenomenon in the picture I took with my iPhone 7. Neither my wife or I ever saw the bright light with out naked eyes; it was only in the photo that the bright source light appeared. Because we did not notice the source light at the time the photo was taken, it seems strange that it was not visible at the time of the picture was taken.My wife is retired and I am a college professor.

While standing behind my house I took the following video with my cell phone. There was a "haze" in the sky and for just the few minutes I saw it, everything was silent! That is very unusual in East L.A..

Dear Sirs, While standing in the alley behind my house you glanced up into the sky and noticed a round reddish/orange ball of "fire" with a cube inside. It appeared to stop for 3 seconds and then continue to move around the sky in an erratic manner,(zig zag). I took a video of the event and am sending it to you for the second time.

This is two videos from my security camera. Both events took place within 45 minutes and lasted seconds. This is the rear ally of my building. The area is less than 25 feet across and my car is the one with a roof rack For months I have tried to explain it. This never happened before and never happened again. I tried to replicate it and could not.

Me and my girlfriend left North LA to Vacaville, CA, at around 10 pm on Sunday, arriving in Vacaville around 5 am monday. While on I-5 north we witnesses a strange bright light crash or land quickly in the valley a half mile ahead of us and a few hundred meters east of the highway. I approximate the area being around firebaugh near I-5.

I was watching an airplane fly over. I noted a glittering object high up that was stationary. The object was glittering with silver colored sparkles. The object after ten minutes began to slowly move. Then was stationary. I went inside and got my client to also witness. She also saw the object. I used my cell phone to video and get stills. I will have to process them. By the time I was able to borrow binoculars from my client to get a better look, the object had vanished. I am a commercially rated pilot and certified flight instructor/instrument, also hold airframe and power plant mechanic certificate. Bachelor and Master degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. I teach aircraft mechanics. Very sure was not a mylar balloon. I have seen those before' they do not glitter like this. Wind was calm. A mylar balloon at this altitude would not survive. Local weather at kvny. I only stopped to take A picture of A wild fire in the middle of winter. I took two real quick pictures with my cell phone and went on my way. Was headed to Shaver Lake to look at new houses being built, when I noticed a column of smoke rising from the easterly direction. I pulled over as I said and took two quick pictures. Two days later, when I am looking at picture on my phone that I took an hour later of job sites I was looking at, I noticed something in the pictures I took of the Smoke! I have no idea what it was? We have viewed the photos, and all we see is a tiny dark spot. The object could be a bird, possibly a relatively large soaring bird, we suspect. PD

My mother and I went to take out the dogs and witnessed one UFO in front of our home. We wouldnt have noticed it we weren't playing with a new flighttracker24 app. We live near ontario airport and chino airport, so we were pointing it at the flight path to see where the planes were going. I then looked in the NE horizon of the sky and saw a bright white light over our neighbors house. My mother said that's not a plane. She was right. It wasn't a plane. We watched for a few seconds as it slowed down, dimmed, then vanished. After we went back to our pool area and looked up to see if there was anything else in the sky. That's when my mother and I witnessed 4-5 more of those UFOs appear, disappear, then appear in another part of the sky, dim, vanish, and dance around, but the UFOs weren't the weirdest part of this story. The helicopter immediately following the UFOs was the weirdest part. A low flying helicopter came out of nowhere and whizzed by in the direction of our sightings. It was so low and so close, my mom said "put the tracker on that'. She wanted to know if it was a police helicopter. The helicopter didn't register on the radar at all! This thing catches planes miles and miles away. It was right above us flying low. Sometimes the tracker won't tell us about a private aircraft or helicopter, but it ALWAYS shows up on the radar as private or N/A. This did NOT registering. Strange.

One oval object flew over Boulder creek town about 4 to 5 hundred feet reported by two boys age 10 witnessing from the towns Elementry school campus. One boy said it split into two as if one was above the other after it rapidly flew by above him. The two oval create positioned themselves on each side of airplane that was flying estimate over a mile away as they disappeared over the mountains in an easterly direction. The other boy only saw one craft around the plane because of the trees blocking his view as the plane and craft vanished over the mountain. School was in process and the one boy that witnessed the split into two after leaving the bathroom to return to class in his first few steps looked up to see a round craft heading very slow southbound with 4 holes underneath 3 w one red hole in the center he claims looked like a red laser (maybe power source) though couldn't describe the beam he said came out that didn't hit the ground like a laser beam but more of a laser light. Red anyway and was very low above the huge redwood trees and was directly over his head no sound either like it may have been 30 ft dia then it shot straight up and disappeared. He said it vanished before it went high enough to disappear. The first oval object had no holes underneath had to be traveling 60 mph plus and he felt when flew over was 20 ft in length and 12 ft -15 ft wide. To me this was an amazing account claims of sighting. I have throughly questioned these boys to see if the stories changed or if any inconsistencies on two separate days. They have not told anyone or kids at thier school as afraid of ridicule. I asked-the one boy that had the first craft fly over him low what did he think and he replied he thought it was a huge drone. Then he thought it was some craft from Lockheed which they have a facility within 3 miles up the mountain in Bonnie Doon in the near west direction. Then he felt they where trying to attack the plane. And ! the round craft he said it was mostly blocked by the tall tree! branche s. He didn't get scared e was just trying to make out what he was seeing. No others witnessed that round craft that shot up. I went to the school with these boys and they explained their sighting and all made sense.in perspective accounts of the observation points.

There are at least six lights hovering in the sky. They appear to have a body and then lights coming off the top and bottom. If I had to describe the shape, I’d say there is a V on top, a horizontal line in the middle and a dot or two dots on the bottom. Completely composed of light. I thought the first one I saw was a drone, but it wasn’t moving. Then I thought maybe it was just a very bright star, but it’s refracting light and there are different colors - blue, red, green, white - very bright. The closest one has been there for at least 25 minutes, but definitely not as bright as it was.

Started as a star with an intense, dusty glow. After about a minute and a half, it started moving across the sky with a very large, bright dusty tail. After another minute the bright spot dissapeared and all that was left was the tail, which dissapeared after another 30 seconds

Driving out of Santa Ynez at midafternoon I came to a stop at hwy 154. I looked left, looked right, then looked left again. There was no oncoming traffic. As I robottically entered a right turn on the highway it dawned on me that something was wrong with the picture. Something uncommon caused me to have a glance back. Approximately 1.5 miles to the west, above Los Olives, was what appeared to be a blimp. These do fly the coast rarely. The shape, however, was closer to resembling a large jet without tail or wings. I immediately pulled over to get a better look. Upon closer inspection it became clear that this was neither blimp nor jet. Distance from me estimated at 1.5 mi. The shape was long and cylindrical, cigar style. The velocity was approximately 10 mph horizontal and northbound towards the mountains. The elevation estimated to be 500 ft. The color was indefinable neither light nor dark. Overall length estimated to be at least 1000 ft. It was much longer than its elevation. There was no noise associated. After 5 minutes of watching this apparently huge thing drift against the light wind for 5 minutes I left so as to make my appointment in Santa Barbara. It crossed my mind that I may be about to witness a UFO, but I discarded it and kept walking my dog. I'm not sure why I had this impression. it was weird. The cloud was quite bright and appeared to be about 3 football stadiums in size, maybe 2000 to 3000 feet AGL. The crowd appeared to be about 5 miles away due south from where I was. it appeared as though either the moon or an aircraft was behind the cloud and illuminating it. The light source was behind the top of one tree, I could see light through the branches, but not make out what exactly the light was. I continued to walk towards the wash and continued to look at the cloud. About 10 seconds later the cloud came into view better. I noticed that it had a fan shape and could start to see more of the light source through the branches. The cloud was a wispy light cloud that appeared to be in a kind of Japanese fan shape. Approximately 5 to 10 seconds later the entire cloud and light source came into view. The light was centered in the corner of the fan, however still obscured by the branches and the cloud. Approximately 5 seconds later, I came to the end of the road and could get a more clear look at the cloud. The cloud had started to dissipate and the light dim. No more than 3-5 seconds later the cloud had shrunk to half of its size and the light dimmed considerable. No more than 3-5 seconds later than that there was nothing in the sky where I had been looking. It was a cold, clear, crisp light with no other fog, clouds or obscuration. The moon had not yet risen, I did not notice any helicopters, aircraft or weather balloons in the proximity that may of created the light source. Possible result of launch of Space X rocket from Cape Kennedy? PD

6 February 2018 starting at approximately 6:25 ending 6:33 PM PST Garden Grove, CA., Approx. 33.796N, 117.963W At approximately 18:30 PM PST, I was in the front yard of my parents' house in Garden Grove, CA. It was an hour after sunset (17:28 PM) so the sky was dark. There is a street light directly across the street plus an outside light that was on and the lights from inside. From this position, close to the house and with those lights it was difficult to see any other objects in the sky or immediately determine the visibility conditions. I happened to look up over the roof of the house towards the south-southwest and I noticed a light which was brighter in the center and spread out to the sides. It looked similar to moonlight shining through clouds. My best guess at its exact initial azimuth position would be about 195-205 degrees and about 40-45 degrees above the horizon. I didn't think it unusual at first and pay much attention to it since I wanted to finish working as quickly as possible. A few minutes later I noticed that it was still in the same location. Still I didn't think it unusual and without thinking it through assumed it to be the crescent moon or the planet Venus behind some haze or a thin layer of clouds. Those are the only two objects that could be bright enough to shine through haze or light clouds anywhere near that part of the sky. After a few more minutes of it being there I wanted a better look. I walked around to the west side of the house. The light was still in about the same part of the sky. This is when it really grabbed my attention since I better seeing conditions in a darker area.I was facing directly south and realized that it wasn't the Moon behind a cloud or haze. It wasn't Venus either which is never in that part of the night sky. I'm a long time amateur astronomer (40 years) and know my way around the night sky well. At times, Venus can be over 40 degrees above the horizon after sunset. But it is never in that part of the sky where this light was. The Moon is excluded also. It was a week past full moon and now in the waning phase. Moonrise didn't occur until 00:09 the next day. So what was it? On my phone, I pulled up heavens-above.com sky chart for the current sky to see if somehow I had forgotten a bright star in that area. This took a total of about 2 minutes. That part of the sky, contains the constellation Eridanus which has no bright stars. When I looked up again, the light had moved towards the south and was continuing to do so. It was now about 20 degrees to the right of Rigel, (0.18 mag.) the brightest star in Orion, and about its same distance above the horizon. At that time Rigel was 42 degrees above the horizon. The light was now clearly moving but not what I would have called rapidly. It had a white veil or a mist trailing it that covered 2-3 degrees. It looked very much like what some call an orb and the veil trailing it much like that of a rocket's exhaust backlit by the sun as it ignites the 2nd stage. I knocked on the glass door but didn't see my parents. I walked away from the back of the house into the backyard for a better look. It was dark enough there to see other stars and only then was I able to see that the sky was clear with excellent visibility. The wind was calm. The light continued moving slowly in SSE direction with the white veil trailing it at about the speed of a commercial jet nearing cruising altitude. I know that the size, altitude and speed of an object are difficult to determine against an open sky with no objects for comparison. I won't attempt to do that here. I recorded some video with my phone but by then it was too dim to show up. Carlotta, CA February 6, 2018 18:29 to 18:30 PM Pacific standard time. Looking south about 30 degrees above the horizon I observed a glowing object. With binoculars I was able to make out two short gas jets. It moved southeast and as it approached the horizon the two gas jets became much longer. I think it could be a booster rocket reentering the atmosphere. It started out bright and small and became much longer with twin tails and more diffuse. At its longest it was about 1/2 degree long (about the width of the moon). It got to about magnitude -2 or -3 quite a much brighter than Sirius. Possible result of launch of Space X rocket from Cape Kennedy? PD
