Going to bed saterday night, looked out the window to see a group of 7 amber lights moving in unison in a formation. I couldn't make out any obvious pattern from my view point. As they flew above the house, I ran outside to maybe get some video with my phone. In the 10 seconds it took me to get outside, they had all taken off way into the distance, in a very short time. Police choppers drive by here all the time, but make a very noticeable noise these lights were all silent. I live just 2 blocks away from the West Edmonton Mall.

Ajax (Canada), ON · Canada

While out on a break during a midnight shift, we noticed a star that was moving around. It started in the eastern sky, and stopped pretty much directly overhead. it was to the north of Vega and the light was brightest in the formation was the magnitude of Vega and slightly smaller. On closer viewing of the craft or what ever it was we noted there were 3 lights forming a triangular pattern. They stayed in a triangle and moved around unlike any of the other stars. I was using Vega as my reference point as I am a bit of a back yard astronomer. (only wish i had my telescope or binoculars with me) with the naked eye, they were in arms length reference a finger width apart and made no sound. I have no idea of what altitude only that they were straight up in the sky and stayed in a triangle. They moved in strange movements, almost like they were drifting around and then going in erratic darting around movements. After approximately an hour, they faded in the black background of the night sky. strange event for all involved!

Hello. I saw the strangest-most (("fouled")) up thing tonight. I was out on a dirt road-Full moon so I could drive in 4x4 mode with no lights on-no problem. The I realized the northern lights were out but the moon was so bright they weren't as awesome as they could have been. The full moon was super (annoying) bright. So I looked up at the auroras....and I see the most amazing thing ever. I was facing north-north east (a bit) and I saw this ladder in a box type thing-and a lot of wildlife went crazy-at that time of night!-and it was also ZERO DEGREES CELCIUS! (Canada remember?) I would have to draw a picture.----you hear of anything like that?- I'm freaking out-get back to me-Thanks! Source of report requests a response, but provides no contact information. Hence, we are unable to request an illustration be submitted. Possible hoax?? PD

Was in my friend's backyard, jumping on a trampoline, when suddenly I saw a box with a orange light on it. My friend thought it was an airplane, but it was definitely not an airplane. We were then both staring at it and it turned around, and dropped about 20,000 feet in a matter of seconds, then it hovered over his backyard maybe 100 feet above then, I tossed a rock at it and zoomed away and it made a gust of wind! We suspect that the report is intended as a hoax. PD

Ancaster (Canada), ON · Canada

I was sitting on my back yard having a coffee when I noticed an orange fireball going from the south west to the north east. The sky was clear with no overcast. There was absolutely no sound. I called my wife to come outside to have a look at it. She thought it had a white halo around the orange flame. By the time I got binoculars (7x35) it had gained in altitude and accelerated in speed. I only got a quick look and through the binoculars there seemed to be a white haze around the object.

Creston (Canada), BC · Canada

This is a little old. I was camping with a friend at champion lake for the may long weekend of 2014, a small town near creston in the interior of British Columbia Canada. Funnily enough the night prior to this I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be funny if I saw a UFO?" Breaking camp relatively early the next day after the long weekend of camping with my friend, I started the several hour long drive back home. I had already been driving for about an hour, and at around 10am is the actual sighting. Just prior to entering from the east side of creston, there's a long straight stretch of highway with nothing around besides clear cut patches on the mountains from logging. Bored already from the drive I was fiddling with the radio trying to find a station, keeping one eye on the road. Initially I saw something "strange" in front of the mountain roughly half way to two thirds up the mountainside, just off to the right of the highway. I looked back to the radio and fiddled with the dial for a couple seconds, when what I saw finally processed. Gasping and looking back up, the object was still there. I let off the gas and started coasting while looking at it as much as I could. The object was almost identical in appearance to a barbell piercing held at arm's length. It had the same sort of surgical steel finish (that is to say, polished and bright/reflective steel), only with a very faint blue tinge to the finish (as a welder by trade, it looked similar to the blueing of a heat treatment, or anodising, if done uniformly across a massive craft). The object at that distance, I estimated to be around a hundred metres in length, maybe slightly longer, with two balls on either end connected by a long cylinder. If at a hundred metres in length, each ball would be about 20-25 metres diameter, with the connecting shaft around 40-50 metres long and fifteen or twenty across. The second part I noticed was a slight shimmer or distortion around the craft, like a heat shimmer, but at that distance of several km away such a shimmer shouldn't be apparent. And it shouldn't be more noticeable on the underside of the craft, with less of a shimmer above it if it were heat caused by the sun. I blinked, even shifted my head and angle in case it was debris on the windshield or my glasses/eyes. That made no difference, and I then kept my eyes fixated on it, remembering stories of people looking away and whatever it is "disappearing". For roughly five to ten seconds, it was absolutely motionless, and I was considering pulling over to get my DSLR out as fast as I could. But as the thought occurred to me, the craft wavered slightly in place, each end going up and down slightly by a couple degrees, before angling down on the north facing end, and accelerating instantly from a standstill hover, to 1500-2000kph if not doubling that, through the mountains. This was an instant acceleration, if I had blinked, I wouldn't have caught the motion blur of it leaving and would have thought it disappeared. In my car and at that distance, I do not know if there was a sonic boom, but there was absolutely no contrail or exhaust apparent. It passed behind the next mountain and I lost sight of it. Though I didn't stop until getting into town, I checked my phone and by the map, it took an almost directly north route between the mountains without gaining altitude to fly over them. I fumbled in the passenger seat for my sketchbook, and with one hand shakily sketching out what I saw. The proportions are all wrong, but I challenge anyone else to make as coherent a drawing while doing 100kph down a highway with one hand and one eye on the road. I've had my view of it not being a military craft questioned. But I've been to enough American air bases and watched f-18s do maneuvers alongside harriers practising vtol, had some very close fly bys of pilots buzzing campgrounds in iowa, and seen the American Blue Angels as well as the Canadian Snowbirds doing practise maneuvers on multiple occasions over cities I lived in through the years. Not once have I ever seen a military jet come close to that kind of instant acceleration, overall speed, or seen a craft shaped anything remotely like that in any profile view. Beyond that, the sheer speed this craft attained was phenomenal, and by comparison it's like watching a vw beetle race a super car. The speed I estimate to be as high as it is, is because I've seen jets on maneuvers before, and while I've watched military jets reach 500-700kph, this was easily two to three times the speed I've ever seen any military craft so at the same altitude. By comparison, those jets I've se! en were crawling. For a view of the location, enter these coordinates into Google earth. I was West bound on this stretch of highway, and you can't miss the mountain directly ahead that I refer to. 49.143181,-116.225440 There was something which happened the night prior to this, but that's somewhat not as reliable or as noteworthy as the bulk of the story which I just related. If you'd like me to expand on that or any other portion, I can do so if there's interest. Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD

Looking southeast from my front deck I saw a flashing light in the clear night sky. It was about 20 degrees above the horizon. It moved from the 11 o'clock position to the 1 o'clock position. It went up and down but it did so only diagonally. It changed colour from flashing white to flashing neon blue. I heard no sound. It looked like it might have been hovering over the water between Gabriola Island and downtown Nanaimo. It was witnessed by three of my roommates. I had binoculars as well as my roommate. I have no idea what it was, It looked like a flashing blob and could be egg shaped. I took video of it on my cell phone and zoomed in on it but still cant figure out what I saw.

I was outside having a cigarette last night with my boyfriend and I looked up towards the Western sky and saw what I thought was a shooting star. I then realized that it was actually 2 points of white light that appeared to me about a centimeter apart (obviously they must have been much farther apart, but that is how it appeared to the naked eye). At first I thought it must be a plane or a satellite, but it seemed higher up than a plane would be traveling and lower than a satellite. It was moving very quickly through my line of vision which also disproved my plane/satellite theory. The pin point lights followed each other in the same formation through the sky from the north side of my vision until I couldn't see them anymore to the south (about 30 seconds). It did not appear to be a plane of any sort because of its altitude and speed, and the lights appeared to be chasing each other towards the south in a parallel line. This is the first time I have seen anything with my own eyes that I might possibly construe as a UFO. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD

Hello. I am going to say, I don’t know what the heck I saw……… Last night, at about 2320 hr MDT on May 18, 2015. I happened to look out of my living room window. The windows on that side of my home face directly West. I was looking out my patio door windows, so I can look over a pretty large angle of view. So, I have been watching the planet. Saturn (I think it is), it has been VERY bright in the sky directly West of my home, at that time of the night. I have been watching the sky for years and know what the difference looks like between a star and a planet. I have also seen the ISS fly over at least 4 times, and have seen satellites passing overhead many times. What I saw was none of those. What I saw was a very bright YELLOW light. It appeared to be the colour of a flame or perhaps incandescent light. It appeared in the sky about 30 degrees from due West towards the North. It was about 20 degrees up from the horizon, like I wrote above; I first noted it at about 2320 hrs MDT. I used my binoculars in an effort to gain a somew! hat better view, but they did not seem to help very much. This “thing” seemed to be oblong in shape and the bottom of it seemed to be kind of waving. Almost as if the bottom had a flame. The thing had no blinking or flashing lights or anything like that, that I could see. I live in a small town and I am sure anyway that it was too far away to have been able to hear any sounds. I could not make out any real defined shape. Whatever is was finally disappeared over the Western horizon at about 0130 hrs May 19, 2015. During the time I watched it, it appeared to move down but also slightly more to the West *Note: Because my town’s Downtown, is mostly West of my home, it has the effect of raising the horizon a little higher, thus if the buildings were not there, it might have been visible a bit longer. Either way this thing moved faster than the “stars or planets” in the regular night sky, but way too slow to have been a helicopter, or an airplane, or the ISS or such. ! Hopefully, I am not the only person who saw this thing in the! sky las t night.

I filed a report yesterday, and I spoke briefly with Peter this afternoon. At his request, I am adding to my 1st report with some additional information. Yesterday during the daytime, I spoke with a person from the Rothney Observatory, located near Calgary, Alberta. She checked her star maps and suggested that what I may have seen was the planet, Venus. However, I stayed up during the same time frame this past night and indeed Venus was visible in the sky BUT it was located quite a bit further South (in the Western sky), from where I saw the object the night before. Both nights, the sky was completely clear, and Venus although showing a yellowish colour, was not near as bright either. And again not in the same part of the sky. I hope that this is of some use to you.

I noticed to the west, with the setting sun as the back ground, three jets moving South to North - I assume they were jets as they were leaving very obvious contrails. As the three moved North I noticed a round object in around the same area as I surmised the jets were moments before. The object itself was not a jet as the object was pretty much stationary except for an obvious wobble and moved slightly to the South and then back to it's original position. Also, I surmise the object was not a jet as it left no contrail and was maybe three times the size of the jets. The jets to the naked eye were about the relative size of an ant while the object was about the relative size of a large silver dollar. The object itself was round and very shiny. If you were to hold a silver dollar at arms length and point it at the sky then that is what the object looked like. It was very distinct against the setting sun and very clear. I could tell that this was not clouds! , smoke, an after image, a planet, or anything I could easily identify. A common problem with sky watching around the Dartmouth and Halifax area is the prominence of air traffic due to the proximity of the local airport. This object had no lights or any identifying markers that one would normally see with a common passenger air plane. After watching the object for about a minute and a half I wanted to get my girlfriend so she could see it too. I opened the door to go inside and noticed that coming from the South, moving the same direction in the same path, was another jet with an obvious contrail. I immediately looked for the object and the object was gone. I did not see it leave. Later on in the night, I went outside for another cigarette with the hope of sighting the object again. Instead I saw three more jets traveling the same direction and same path as the original four. Again I assume they were jets based on the contrails. I assume that if it was a true physical object then it must have been seen by those in the jets - maybe not the first three but the fourth one must have seen it.

Huge rectangular shape seen on and in the cloud level directly above. The edges were clear with high contrast. It was opaque but appeared transluscent. The colours were similar to its surroundings. A dark blue rectangle with a cloudy light white frame. So it seemed solid but cloaked. It seemed flat, not three dimensional. The clouds floated below the shape but no clouds floated against or along the shape like clouds would flow around a plane. It was still for hours. It looked like clouds had been replaced by the shape and what is left is a cutout in the clouds. You could see the night sky through other moving clouds but could not see through this shape. So it was not a see through hole. Clouds floated below the shape and light did not affect those clouds and, therefore this shape was likely not formed from light shining from the ground. Although, the clouds that framed it oddly seemed to block our vision from anything above it. Someone else saw 2 or 3 concentric circles around the object like rings you see around sun/moon sometimes. As we went home it seemed as though the farther, long edge of the rectangle angled or bent downward towards us.

So, just bright orange silent lights floating 100's or feet up. Movement, but no zipping around… Then disappearing here and there… Then the sight of two white un-illuminated circles coming down. One landed & it was a white Chinese lantern, to my surprise. This was on the Danforth at Chester. The orange lights were interesting to see but I doubt they were of much interest more entertaining.

While on my afternoon break at work in Scarborough, Ontario May 6, 2015, I went outside to our work parking lot for a smoke Looking about in the sky for anything unusual After about five minutes looking to the north -slightly west Noticed a strange low bizarre object - less than half a mile away It was moving east to west changing appearance I then instantly took out my camera out at 3 :05 pm est and took some pictures - eight in total After about thirty seconds taking four pictures I yelled and pointed to two co-workers that were about 30- 40 yards away--- UFO ! Each one said 'plane ' paying little attention to it I continued to watch and take more pictures It was quite low under 200 feet a guess ? Again the movements were strange and very slow Added to it had a flashing like light appearance - maybe sun's reflection off surface After about one minute lost sight of it due to the buildings northwest What is interesting the first picture taken reveals 'two ' unknowns ? One even appears to really look like a distorted spaceship I could only see one smaller unknown one So could the larger one photographed had just released a smaller one - morphing probe type ? After the sighting I approached both co-workers Showed them both the pictures taken revealing the clear pictures Both said ' not a plane ' and looked stumped to the images shown

I was looking at the trees along the Alaska Hwy on my left. I was looking up and ahead some distance. I noticed a craft moving slowly down the side of the wooded hill. The craft was black with beige markings, about the size of an automobile. It was not very far in front of me. It crossed over the Alaska Hwy and descended down the hill into the woods on my right. No lights.

Deep Cove (North Vancouver)(Canada), BC · Canada

My girlfriend and I were sitting on the ocean shore in Deep Cove (North Vancouver), B.C., facing 60 degrees NE and looking up at the stars/planets and identifying some of them with an iphone app that I have on my phone. The sky was clear and there was a very bright, almost full moon to the east of us. At aprox. 21:55, I was gazing out across the water when my girlfriend exclaimed "What is that!!??" She was pointing up to the sky almost directly overhead. I saw nothing and asked her where and what she was talking about. She again exclaimed "There!!!" and was pointing towards the handle of the Big Dipper. I still saw nothing... then a few seconds later I saw a bright pulse of light in the sky...it was the size of a star...but much brighter than any star in the sky. The pulse/flash lasted maybe half a second. A few seconds later it flashed again, but had moved further NORTH in the sky....holding my hand out at arms length I would comfortably estimate the distance between "flashes" to be 2 inches in the sky. I thought that perhaps it was space junk or the space station glinting sunlight but then a few seconds later it pulsed again but now it had moved 2 inches to the EAST. It was very high up in the sky...from our vantage point, if it had stay! ed illuminated, one would have thought it was just another star in the night sky. It was not a plane or drone or anything of that nature. A few seconds later it flashed again but now it had moved 2 inches SOUTH of it's previous position. A few moments after that, it flashed again but now it was 2 inches WEST of it's previous position. Essentially it had done a circle.... then the weirdest thing happenened... From it's last position there was a streak or line of light in a northward direction from it's last position. I have seen many meteors and this was not that! As a meteor moves across the sky, it's tail moves with it... this was different... the light traveled about an inch or inch and a half across the night sky (with hand held at arm's length)but the starting point to finish point stayed illuminated in the sky for a brief second.... like a "line of light" in the sky. A few seconcs afterwards there was another pulse/flash of light aprox 2 inches to the NORTHEAST of where the "line of light" had ended. The whole experience took place over a 2-3 minute period. We watched the sky for about 10 min longer but there was no more activity. My girlfriend said that the first time she noticed it (before I did), it had made a "line of light" in the sky but that it seemed so unnatural she didn't believe that she had actually seen that... then she saw the pulse/flash in different spots across the sky a few times before I picked up on it. I can't emphasize enough how srange and bizarre the "line of light" was. I don't know how that could be replicated... You could physically see the bright object moving, but its start point remained illuminated in a line all the way to the finish point..then it all disappeared at the same time before the final flash to the northeast.

On May 1, 2015, at 9:50 pm, I was taking my dog outside to run around the yard, as I come around to the front of the house, looking north I first noticed in the distance a small orange light, but as I kept watching the light, it was coming south towards me and was getting larger and larger and at a high rate of speed. No sound coming from the light and as it got closer I could see a big round orange ball of light with an orb shape glow around it. I ran back to the house to get my wife to witness this. At this time I had been watching this for 10 seconds and it should of flu over my yard but as my wife came out to look it had changed direction and was heading to the north east and looked to be gaining altitude at a high rate of speed and disappeared in around 5 seconds after the direction change. I would say it looked like the size of a basketball in the sky, and maybe 300 t0 400 feet in the air?

My boyfriend and I, alongside 2 friends of ours, saw 3 red circles floating in the night sky at around 23:00. They made their way from the East to West within 10 seconds. We didn't hear any noise, nor could we clearly distinguish what it was that we had just seen. Moreover, they were in a straight line, at an approximate equal distance from one another; as though they were following a similar straight alignment/path.
