Rectangle over Burbank, WA

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was driving and saw bright lights that appeared to hover over the side of the freeway. I was on the phone with my dad and hung up because I wanted to film it. It seemed like a low plane at first but quickly I realized I was approaching it, and it wasn’t moving. It was crazy. When I passed it going 40 mph in a 70 I saw the side of it. It was not flat like a drone but more ball shaped? Maybe rectangle? But not flat. It had volume. And it was very large? Truck sized at least. And silent. I pulled over and started filming again and it just started moving away from me opposite direction, along highway. I tried to zoom in on it but it’s very hard to tell in video. It seemed to have two big circles on the back of it, inside where the light was coming from. And that’s the direction it moved. Like big jet engines on the back is what it made me think of. But they weren’t lit up and it was silent. [NUFORC annotation: Aircraft - Possible]

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #179419). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
