The report, as filed
A bright circular light with red flare spotted high in the sky with a slight decline. It leveled out as the flare diminished into a short but persistent tail. It then changed direction slightly then when went upwards with great force with a visible orange ark in front as though it was going too fast. Similar to the look of an asteroid entering the atmosphere it behaved the same as it went upwards back into the the sky and eventually too distant to see into space.

A string of evenly spaced small white solid lights began to appear one at a time due east of Kingsburg above or beyond the Sierra Nevadas. The sky was clear and dark, no moon. It started around 5:05am and continued for 5 plus minutes. I am estimating I saw 100 plus in all. They started low on the horizon, descending on approximately a 30 degree slope. They appeared to be traveling south east, remaining visible for about 45 seconds until they disappeared in or behind the Sierras. At first they were more evenly spaced but as the progression continued they became spaced two close together with wide spaces in between. The decent line was very straight and their speed was consistent start to finish.

The objects were flying in unison for the majority of the time they were viewed. They flew side by side from east to west over the 99 freeway just before the Kingsburg, CA city limits. The two objects were in site for approximately 2 – 3 minutes. As I stopped to look, the objects flew from the 10–2 o’clock position then disappeared. The night was clear, no fog. The lights were a constant white glow. They did not change colors or flicker.
