Witnesses: Witness one is an artist and a retired contractor. Witness two is a retired Teacher. The two witnesses are credible and do not appear to be prone to any fabrication and would have nothing to gain in doing so. Each witness requested anonymity. Each witness was interviewed separately. Sighting of object took place at 8:17 PM on Thursday June 29th in the South hill area of Spokane Washington. Weather was clear day light one hour before sunset, Humidity: 43% Barometer: 29.9 "Hg Wind: SW 2.486 mph. Both witnesses reported seeing a bright distant object moving “very slowly.” from west to east. Both witnesses were sitting on a porch facing west. Each witness separately stated the object as being: “distant and very bright”. Witness one reported that their thumb would cover the object when held up Infront of it. Witness two felt that the object appeared to be rotating and described the object as being “cylinder shaped”. However, witness one did not collaborate this. Witness one reported that the object appeared to be triangular shaped and had three flashing lights stating them as: “Blueish green in color”. Witness two reported that object as blue. Both witnesses reported that the object pulsed and that the pulses seemed to be irregular. However, no indication was given as to any pattern regarding the position of the lights during the sequence of changing. Both witnesses reported that the object seemed to glow very brightly. witness one indicated several times that they felt it was metallic in nature. Both witnesses reported that the object looked solid with no indication of wings and no sign of propulsion as in no visible trail, or flames. However, when enlarging and examining the photos, shot on a late model Android cell phone, there is a visible distortion around the object. As mentioned previously the shape of the object was reported as being triangular by witness one and tube or cyliinder like by witness two. An amateur evaluation (myself) of the photo seems to show more of a definite shape to the object somewhat triangular, resembling possibly a fighter Jet flying with its bottom facing the Witnesses. The object does not appear to fit descriptions which have been speculated to be whether balloons. However, this is difficult to ascertain even with the photos provided. Yet it is noted that the wind was coming from the SW. Also noted is the time in which it took for the object to cross their line of sight. Witnesses two reported the object took 12 minutes to pass out of sight. The shape of the object was reported as being triangular by witness one and tube like by witness two. No indication was given be either witness as to any sudden up or down or left to right movements. However, as previously stated, witness two felt the object was rotating. Witness one reported that there were at least two “commercial” aircraft visible during the sighting of the object. Witness one also reported that the “commercial” aircraft appeared much closer to them then the object. Pictures provided by witness (one) Notes: Venus appears in the western portion of the sky after sun set, yet this was about one hour before sunset. Weather balloons do not have lights. However, if a cloud cover is passing in front of the sun and temporarily blocking the sun light from reflecting off the balloon it could appear to be blinking on and off. Especially if there does not appear to be a synchronistical timed pattern to the lights. Yet this would also happen if the object was rotating as in a cylinder. The time it took for the object to be visible is more constant with a weather balloon (roughly 125 mph) as opposed to that of a commercial flight (460 – 575 mph mph) or a fighter jet 800 to over 1000 mph). A weather balloon will usually fly at an altitude of 105,600 feet or about 20 miles. The configuration of a weather balloon combined with its size make the visibility of it difficult from the ground by a person. Especially if unaided by any optical enhancement device. Commercial aircraft typically fly between 31,000 and 38,000 feet — about 5.9 to 7.2 miles. They are visible unaided from the ground by a human However, the time it took for the object to remain visual to the witnesses does not jive. Even if one considers that the object was moving away from the witnesses north to south or south to north, it will shrink in size and the witnesses reported that its size remained consistent. Fighter jets, such as the F16 fly at around 45,000 to 51, 000 feet – about 8.5 miles to 9.7. So, the commercial situation above seems to hold true for a fighter jet aircraft as well. Also, the unaided human eye can usually only see about 45,000 - 60,000 feet in the sky. However, this depends on the weather, atmosphere, and other conditions. Again, the time in which the object remained visible does not jive with the flight characteristics (speed/time) of a fighter plane.
