We were awaiting a big thunderstorm to roll in and sky watching from our balcony. Just a a few hundred feet or less above us, Came diagonally overhead our apartment headed almost directly East & quickly just above the clouds (clouds gave a foggy look to craft). The tip of the triangle was the front of the craft and on each tip of the triangle was a ring-like light, spinning and changing directions at odd and random intervals. Almost like it was completely a full revolution on each ring tight tip. Each ring light spun at different direction, at different times, and changed directions at different times. It had a white/blush hue through the clouds. The triangle itself also spun and rotated at weird intervals. Almost like aerial pit maneuvers? Like you would see fired jets do. It was maybe the size of large four door suv but wider, but also a few hundred feet in the air, so hard to tell for sure, but smaller in size relative to a hot air balloon, but way larger than a drone or kite. It was so fast that I couldn’t grab my phone and hit the camera icon quick enough. I’ve never seen ANYTHING like it. Oddly enough, Owasso has had extreme weather randomly disapate before reaching us, or create “donuts” around us with us in the center. I wonder if this could be related?

Monday Jan 31 appx 6:50pm cst with clear skies. I walked outside and looked into the sky. To the North I noticed a point of white light high in the sky moving to the SSW. I assumed it was a satellite as I could not detect any flashing lights. I see lots of satellites. The only reason I took notice is that it seemed to be passing through a haze, like a fog or a wispy cloud. All of the other stars in the sky were crisp and clear. I thought that the “cloud” must be a rogue and the satellite would quickly pass through it and become “crisp and clear” as well. I was facing to the west and the object was high in the sky (maybe 15-20 degrees west of my zenith) and passed from my right to my left. It never escaped the haze. In fact as it got more overhead I could see that the “cloud” was in the form of a spiral around the object, a two-armed spiral with each arm curling away from the object on opposite sides. From end to end it took up maybe 20 degrees of the sky.The spiral cloud was not very thick but was definitely noticeable and undeniably in a spiral shape. The spiral cloud did NOT seem to be rotating in any way. It just moved along with the object. And if not for the hazy spiral the object and my sighting of it would have been nothing out of the ordinary. The object and the haze around it continued on it’s path until it moved into the city glow on my SSW horizon. When I first saw the object and realized it was something out of the ordinary so I ran back into the house and grabbed my phone/camera and called for my wife to come and see it. She has seen many satellites as well and she confirmed that the object did have the hazy spiral surrounding it. I tried to take a video of the object but my phone camera is not very good nor am I at using it.

Friday Oct 29, 2021 appx 7:45pm to 8:15pm cdt with clear skies. I was sitting in my backyard in Owasso, OK, 15 miles NE of Tulsa. Owasso is a few miles to my SW and neighborhood lights make star watching less than perfect but it was a very good night considering. Tulsa International Airport is about half way between Owasso and Tulsa, about nine miles away so I get lots of traffic in my skies. I also saw half-dozen satellites in the 30 minutes I was out. So I’ve seen lots of aircraft, large and small. Lots of meteors and lots of satellites. I’ve never seen anything like this before. I saw something, barely perceptible, moving from near my zenith to the WSW. I estimate it covered about 60-70 degrees in about 4 seconds. At first I thought it was a meteor (and it might have been) but it was just so dim. I’ve seen a lot of meteors from my backyard chair and I’ve never seen a meteor that dim move that far across the sky. It seemed a little larger than the head of a meteor and seemed to glow a dim orange, like an ember. But it was so dim I was surprised I saw it at all. It never changed speed and it’s brightness never wavered. It left no trail. I was surprised that it just kept going. It didn’t burn out as much as it disappeared into the glow of lights of downtown Owasso. It was moving way too fast to be anything headed to or from the airport and it didn’t make any sound.

Solid green point light moving extremely fast horizontally northbound in sky. 3 bright flashes of light and sparks that lit up the sky then instant vertical elevation drop to below horizon. Other aircraft in the area.

Saw something kinda weird last night. I really enjoy sitting on my back porch on warm clear nights and just watch the sky. To me it's much better than TV. I watch for satellites (21 last night, a record) and meteors (only two but...) I see lots of airplanes as well. Of course you can tell them by their flashing beacons, sometimes you can make out the green/red lights as well. Normally, and I mean almost always, you see one and you can watch it cross the sky until it either goes behind a tree or a house or just slowly gets dimmer and dimmer until it totally fades from view on the horizon. It was getting late, near midnight and my eyes were getting tired but I believe that I saw what I saw. Looking to the southeast, probably forty to fifty degrees off the horizon, near the star, Altair, I noticed a sort of oddly lit plane with at least four white-ish lights flickering on and off what I would call randomly, about once per second. It was odd looking but nothing that I thought was totally out of the ordinary. The lights were not real bright but this meant to me that the object was at a very high altitude. It was moving very slightly south of due west at a speed consistent with a high altitude aircraft. Again, not real note-worthy. But then I noticed a second identical object following the first. (If you held a ruler out at arms length then the second was about two or three inches behind the first.) Even this was not that surprising to me as I've logged a lot of hours out there skywatching and seen lots of aircraft. I assumed that if I watched long enough that I would realize that they only seemed to be in a straight line and that in time one would be headed in a slightly different direction. What I didn't expect was for the first object to disappear. It just kind of faded away in a second or two. I kept waiting for it to reappear after I refocused (again, my eyes were tired) but no. It was gone. This got my attention. I could still see the second object for a few seconds...and then IT disappeared as well. The entire event, from the time I noticed the first then the second object, to the time they were both gone lasted maybe 20 seconds. Not the weirdest thing I've ever seen while skywatching...but pretty close.

In an instant the light just disappeared. What we saw is very similar to report below in Claremore, Oklahoma, which is only a few miles away. I was able to catch the light on video. There was no sound or blinking lights. And no trail behind like a comet.

At appx 9:47pm CDT, I was outside on our east facing porch, just watching for satellites and meteors, as I like to do on weekend nights like the one that night: no clouds and no moon. I was scanning the sky, when I saw an exceptionally bright light in the SSW sky appx 40 degrees above the horizon. This light was as much as a magnitude brighter than the planet Venus at that planet's brightest. This light was moving to the NE and likely took 2-3 minutes to cross from the point of first sighting until it crossed the whole of the sky before disappearing behind some trees to my ENE. I then moved to another part of the yard and was able to watch the light past the trees until it was lost to sight on the far ENE horizon. I believe that it passed to the north of both Antares, and then Saturn, but to the east of Altair. I don't believe that it got any higher than maybe 50 degrees above the horizon, maybe less. The light was silent the entire time. The light was solid the e! ntire time, neither blinking nor dimming. I say it was solid to say that it did not blink or waver. But it was so bright that it caused it to be more of a Venus-like glare, rather than a simple point of light. It only dimmed as any light does as it moved farther away into the distance. In a single sentence it was as if Venus was moving across the sky. Over the years I have seen dozens if not hundreds of satellites. I have seen many that seem to appear from nowhere and become very bright before quickly dimming to nothing. In the moments just after spotting this light and seeing that it was not blinking (like an airplane) I assumed that it must be a satellite and expected it to very soon dim. It never did to any extent. I also felt that it was moving erratically, slowing then speeding up and wavering very slightly from side to side. I say this because it was what I felt I was seeing. I can NOT say that I am certain it was acting oddly. Realizing that this was like nothing I had seen before I went to the door and asked my wife to come outside. She agreed that it was much brighter than what we had seen before. Without my prodding she said that it seemed to be moving in the same odd manner that I have described. Another point I want to make is that we live appx 7-8 miles NE of Tulsa International Airport and see many low flying aircraft near our home either just after takeoff or turning west toward a landing. Just as my wife was coming to the door, I began hearing sounds of an airplane, and started to feel that was the explanation. But when I looked up I saw the airplane lights moving from the S to N but beginning a turn to the west that would take it behind our house towards the airport flight lanes. The bright light in question was already well to the east. When the plane was lost to sight the sound went away. Again I did not hear any sound that I would associate with the passing light. There is a National Guard Center about 5-6 miles to our south and they house a number of military helicopters. I have seen them flying in the area many times. Later, I considered that if this were a helicopter, for its lights to have been that bright, it would have to be flying rather low, and I would certainly have heard that familiar chop chop sound. My wife and I also considered the idea that it could have been a drone of some kind. I don't know much about them but will say that other than the possible side to side waver I was feeling, this light traveled in a very straight line from one end of the flight to when it disappeared on the far horizon. To me this was an object that I could not identify with any certainty and since it was moving, flying in the sky it was a UFO. I EXPECT that you will determine that it was indeed likely a satellite. I expect that you have satellite information at your disposal and you will end this mystery quickly. (( Probable sighting of ISS, which was visible at 21:45 hrs..
