Circle over Didcot, OXFORDSH · United Kingdom
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Driving back from Cholsey last night, came down Sires Hill about 5:40 pm and I saw 5 lights in the low cloud about 4-5 miles in the distance. The lights were moving at random but in a circle. I thought it was probably a laser display, possibly drones. I watched them whilst driving for a couple of minutes until I turned left, i kept trying to look to see if they were still there. I turned into a small village Culham about 5:50, my car radio started playing up, white noise, I hit the radio button a few times and it went back to normal. I left the village on a road called The Burycroft, very straight and dark. 5 balls of light in a row went over my car ahead of me, (maybe 25-30 metre high, they stopped at the end of the road then came back, the lights stayed in a line, this happened 3 times in total, very quick and in a matter of seconds. My blood rain cold, I was quite shaken but didn't want to stop the car. The lights were bright, not blinding, they didn't appear to have any solidity, there was no sound. Nothing like this has ever happened to me, I didn't believe in such things

What would the paper say?
UK sighting reports were handled by the MoD's UFO desk until 2009; later records answer to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, earlier files sit at the National Archives. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
