The report, as filed
I was driving west on 99th Ave. in Coon Rapids, MN when I witnessed a solid triangle shaped craft hovering over the neighborhood just to the south. It appeared to be a few hundred feet in the air, and caught my eye due to the red and blue lights and its elevation. There is a nearby local airport, so it is not uncommon to see small aircraft in the area. However, this craft was a very distinct dark triangle shape and was NOT moving. It was just hovering there. I tried to turn into the neighborhood to get a better look, but it just disappeared.
