Unknown over Pace, FL

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

At about 7:05 pm my wife and I were standing in the drive way looking at the sky talking. In the west I saw a red light appeared over the trees coming our direction. It was fairly bright but seemed to be intense ruby red. I told my wife look at that and its not blinking like a plane. I jokingly started to wave both arms at it as it flew over. I could see a smaller solid white light behind it. I could not see a body, a little too dark out. If it was a small plane it was maybe 2000 feet high. It was flying west to east in a straight line, maybe from northern Pensacola towards Eglin AFB. There was no sound. Slightly hazzy clouds, light breeze. I did notice there was an aircraft north of us at the time we saw it. Whitting Field training base is north of us.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #172539). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

On Sunday night, August 16, 2020, shortly before midnight, I took my dogs outside before bedtime . I looked up at the eastern sky and saw a very bright object that I had not previously seen in that location. I watched it for a minute or so, and then went in the house to get my binoculars. When I came back out, the object was still there so I began focusing on it. As I was doing so, the object just suddenly completely disappeared. I’ve been seeing strange objects in the eastern sky for around 3 years now, but never this bright. Previously, the objects have rapidly moved in ways that typical aircraft cannot (sideways, up and down, etc.). They also appeared to not be stars because sometimes they were there and sometimes they weren’t, whereas other stars and planets are always visible in the same approximate locations.

Ask I was getting ready to go to bed, I was using the bathroom at around 11:15pm. I noticed out of the corner of my eye a light which was not extremely bright, but just enough to catch my attention, so I studied this light for 15 minutes. I knew right off the bat it was not a helicopter because I saw multiple helicopters flying around periodically at much lower altitudes. I also ruled helicopters/other human craft out because of the uncanny movement I observed. The craft seemed like they were interacting with one another, slowly advancing, and then moving back to their former location. I went and got my brother so that he could witness the crafts as well. He is a very smart individual and even he did not have an explanation for what he saw. I then spotted a third craft a little west and directly straight up in the sky. I went outside to get a better look. I looked directly up in the sky and the craft slowly positioned itself directly above me. I stood in awe. I had a feeling I was about to get abducted, but nothing happened fortunately. It soon dawned on me that there were at least two more UFOs west of the other three. One of the two western UFOs I saw was extremely bright so I recorded, and took the best evidence I could with my smartphone. I am overwhelmed with confusion and I want to know more. I personally think that there is a possibility that there is diversity among extra-terrestrials just like there are different species on Earth, and they might very well be at war.

Two red lights floating slowly and silently above Pace, FL, they were heading southwest toward Pensacola. Their altitude was not discernible nor was their actual speed. After about 4 to 5 minutes the first light dimmed and went out. Then shortly thereafter, the second light went out as well.

What I saw looked like a helicopter, which also sounded like a helicopter.
