The report, as filed
I watched what looked like a round in shape shiny silver object hover high in the sky in the clouds. This was in the morning. Sun was shining. It stuck out and caught my eye very easily. I was driving towards it for approximately 3-4 miles, and it never moved the entire time I watched it. Suddenly, it just disappeared. I immediately looked around for where it may have gone. I turned and looked out of my driver side window and saw an unexplainable very bright white flash of light that spread horizontally in the shape of an oval. It was like an explosion of light below the tree line directly across from my vehicle. It startled me. The lights lasted for just a second, and then there was nothing there.
