The report, as filed
I was on the phone with my sister while standing outside and suddenly saw a bright green glowing object which fell slowly through the clear dark sky before disappearing behind a ridge line. I did not see it come back up, so I believe it landed. I could not tell exactly how far away it was but I would say less than a mile. I was shocked by the sighting and noted how oddly slow it fell and what a bright glowing green color it was. Nearby outdoor dogs began barking after I lost sight of the object.

Me and my fiance went out onto our driveway to do work around the property when she had seen something in the sky and gotten my attention, we both witnessed an extremely large rectangular reflective object move from the left to the right slowly. the craft made zero noise, we have never seen anything even close to this. The size is larger than any plane I've ever seen, we called and made a police report with the Haywood County sheriff's office and were told by the officer that he has also seen strange things recently in the sky. Nearby animal life had gone completely silent when what we saw was closest to us, zero clouds in the sky. The weather was clear, there was nothing obstructing our view and we witnessed this craft or whatever it was for no more than 20 seconds clearly, after that we watched it through the trees and saw its speed accelerate.

After doing this for 20 minutes or so it moved quickly above us. You could see lights inside but no noise and then it sped off and was just gone. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Peter, It looked to be 1/10th the size of the moon. It was oval in shape. Not perfectly round though if that makes sense. Because of its side to side movements and being stationary for minutes, I that it might be a helicopter. I was in the Army and was Air-Assault, so I have sling loaded and have ridden in many helicopters, so I soon realized that's not what it was. It was about 6000 feet in the air at first and it took off over our home and slowed to almost a full stop. It was higher in elevation as it went above my home but you could see the outline. It was kinda round and you could see a light around it coming from the inside. Like a revolving lit restaurant looking from outside of it. It actually started scaring me when I realized it had no sound coming from it. It moved slow but then quickly. Faster than a plane can fly. The lights were a smoky white light coming from inside. You could just see a hazy light at farther distance. Clear when it was close. There were no flashing lights on it. I hope this helps as this was the first time seeing something like this.
