The report, as filed
At 7:39 PM, on September 22, 2022, my husband and I saw a cylinder shaped brilliant white light in the sky silently traveling from the south to the north at a high rate of speed 35 degrees above the horizon. The object traveled across the sky for one minute in front of three contrails: one in the center rear and one on each side at 45-degree angles resembling a bright white arrow in the sky. Half a minute after seeing it, the object turned a bright florescent green, then vanished leaving no trace of lingering contrails. We both took photos of it on our iPhones and my husband took a short 5-second video on his. We are both working professionals: I am a retired college professor currently a novelist and illustrator, and my husband is a Project Manager.
