I am an early riser and as I do most clear mornings I was outside watching the sky for meteors, satellites, and rocket bodies. I have an app (SkyView) on my phone which identifies around 50% of what I see. The sky was starting to lighten up so I was getting ready to go inside when I spotted what I first thought was a contrail forming off to the north. Then I realized that the size was not changing as it moved across the sky getting closer. As it started to cross in front of me I was caught off guard by its cylindrical shape with a stainless steel kind of exterior and no sound.
