Circle over Colorado spring’s, CO
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
As I was outside smoking a cigarette, I was speaking to my wife on the phone. And I was looking up to the sky 212 degrees south west when I saw a circular shape moving in a curve angle too fast to have been a plane or a jet or other aircraft. It made a strange whistling sound. And it vanished too fast towards the top of the mountains. It was too close and yet did not make a loud sound just a light whistle. And at first I did not know what to think of but as I gained myself back I was a little spooked.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #170895). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
