Rectangle over Stoneham, MA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
I observed a single red light swoop across my yard. Curious I went out onto the deck. Looking up at the sky a compound light suddenly appears and begins moving overhead. It stopped directly overhead and begins to blink. Two end lights turn bright red. Then it moves off at a right angle and flys away. It was not an aircraft or drone or satellite or meteorite as I’m familiar with them. I hate to say it but it looked exactly like what you would see in the movies. I’m shocked and surprised. But I did see this.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #170476). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

I got up to use the bathroom about 2 months ago around 2am. I looked out my window and saw an extremely bright light in the sky. Like a huge star extremely bright too bright to be a star. So I sat there and watched it. It started to change shape. Broke into two and again back into one but shape went from oval to oblong and back again. Shimmered inbetween changes. I couldnt believe my eyes. That night there was a clear sky but only 2 actual stars on the sky. Very dim stars typical of stars around here. This was NO STAR!I watched it a while and went back to bed. Now tonight again I go upstairs to use the bathroom and glance out my open window and there it is again! Just as crazy bright in the SAME SPOT. I called my son over who is 12 to show him because he had a giggle when I told him about the first sighting. We watched it shimmer and change from one to two and back again. I watched it about 10 minutes. An hour later I got up to get a drink looked out my kitchen window and it was GONE! Gone! I called out for my son to look. He did. I said to him I told you it wasnt some crazy bright star stars do not disappear from the sky! I am so excited to have seen it again My son asked do you think it can hear us? Lol and an hour later its gone. Also both times it was a bright white light but shimmered a deep yellow. Changed back and forth between the two colors.

On 9/4/20 around 9PM my 35-year-old son was taking our dog for a walk when he barged into the house and told me to come out and see this UFO. I came out with my wife and other son (31 YOA), at which time we all observed this orange or fireball coming from the Boston area, northerly towards Stoneham. It did not seem to be traveling fast, there was no engine sound as a place or helicopter would make. It turned Easterly and slowed down almost to a standstill, then another one caught up to it about 30 seconds later and it continued traveling east and the 2nd one followed it. Within a minute a 3rd one showed up from the same flight path and followed #2. Then less than a minute the 4th one got in line and they all headed east. My son thought that there may have been one more at the beginning one more in front of the first one that I observed . I posted on FB but no responses yet.
