Triangle over Victoria Harbour, ON · Canada

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

I was taking aerial pictures with my drone of a cruise ship that was visiting out little town's harbour. It was a beautiful morning but there were storms approaching the area from the west, eminating from Georgian Bay and beyond. The sun had been up for a while and was quite dominant in the ESE sky. I was cognizant of the sun's location and was trying to avoid taking shots directly towards it. When photographing with my drone, I almost always use AEB mode (with 5 exposures each), I then merge them in lightroom to produce HDR images. I have at least 3 photos (15 exposures) showing a constellation of triangular shaped bright spots in the sky. They are stationary w/respect to the geography in the photo even though my drone was repostioned between each shot. For this reason I am ruling out optical artifacts and/or sensor noise. I have uploaded 2 of the merged images. These are highly compressed JPG images. The original exposures are all in RAW .dng format. You will see the triangular "lights" in the upper left portion of the photo and can use the gravel pit on the terain under it as a landmark.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #168780). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

Canadian military and radar records answer to the Access to Information Act; historic UFO files are held by Library and Archives Canada. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
