As reported

Egg over Glendale, MN

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

Just after sunset my son noticed an object flying very quickly at a relatively low altitude compared to the commercial airliners that were pathing above us. We estimated that the object was at an altitude of about 4000 feet. It was completely silent, which was in sharp contrast to the commercial airliners that were flying at about 8000 to 10000 feet above us. My son described it as oval or egg shaped. What stood out to me when I turned to look was how brightly it flashed purple. I’ve not seen any aircraft flash that kind of a rich, bright purple before. And as I mentioned it was completely silent, where I would’ve expected a military aircraft to be very loud traveling at a high velocity in a low altitude. The vehicle traveled from SSW to NNE in direction. My son was able to capture a few seconds of video before it disappeared behind the trees. I’m attaching the video and a still frame capture for your review.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #168332). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
