A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

On Wednesday night I saw two sets of what looks to be car headlights in the western sky. The sets were side by side with the left set of lights not as bright as the set of lights on the right. They did not move at all, just quietly hovered in the sky, approximately one half to a mile from my house. Totally silent. When I looked again at 9:40, the lights were gone. I did not see them leave as I was sidetracked in the house. In the day time I looked to see if there is a mountain side or anything in that direction and there is only sky. I saw these lights on Fri, March 11 at approximately 6:40 PM. The lights were in the exact same spot and same brightness. They were silent there as well. My two neighbors watched as they moved toward our homes and flew over her garage, again, no sound and very bright. I got a video of it in the distance but did not see them move. I have a video of the lights from the March 11 incident. I'm having a hard time sending the video to share it.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #167215). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
