The report, as filed
While driving, I saw what I originally thought was a "shooting star" moving away from me in a straight line in a westerly direction below 10,000 feet. It had a blueish green light on the back end that left a little bit of a trail. I watched it for several seconds. I went behind some buildings and lost sight of it. When I came back into the open, it was gone. It was traveling too slow to be a jet with an afterburner.

Straight line of lights, saw windows admitting lights. Object moving from west toward the east. Hard to tell the speed of object for it was dark. Was able to observe it for 5 or so minutes as it moved across the night sky. First thought it was a jet admitting contrail, but the length of the trail remand same. It went across the sky about the speed of a jet liner, but with no running lights and made no noise. Since we saw the windows admitting light I would think it wasn't that high up in the sky. Saw two lights appearing, which looked like a plane flying towards me. I kept watching because if it was a plane, it's too big to be in this rural area. Then the lights spread apart horizontally and stayed there for several seconds, hovering. They both swayed back and forth for a another few seconds. During this time there was a "waving" sound. Suddenly one light was one. Then the other.

Well.. then a few weeks later in Joplin, MO, we were sitting in the drive way, looking at the stars..when all of a sudden a glowing orb came from nowhere, at a medium speed, circled close to us, the went back straight into space. 2 seconds behind it was another one that got even closer, then followed the same path as the other one, straight out into space.. It did not make a sound but it must have been going fast to shine so bright and then with in seconds be out of our field of vision and back out into space. I am certain that what ever these glowing orbs were, they were noticing us because they came straight out of the sky towards us then circled back into space. Started as a bright sphere light, after it passed it had a triangle shape, with a light on each corner, then after it flew off into the distance it looked like three dots the two ends one were white. It made no noise. It flew around 3 different times, the second going the same dirrection as the first, n the third the opposite direction, but it left a trail of smoke behind it.
