Triangle over St. Johns, MI

A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.

The report, as filed

they were fast moving. Slower than a shooting star but faster than anything we have ever seen move across the sky. We watched them move across the entire sky above us but the whole event lasted approximately 5 seconds. It was an incredible sight to see, unreal.

Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #163656). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.

Ask for the records

What would the paper say?

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.

I had seen a total of 5 UFO's merging into what I thought was a star that pulsed red and white and completely stationary, the five that merged were white light. I had thought the first 5 were also stars and did not move but then moved in a straight line with equal space between them at a very high rate of speed.

I looked out of my window facing due south. I saw a stationary object in the night sky. It was 2 orange globes; one on top of the other with a white light shining down from the top of the globe. The orange gobes flickered a little. It sat stationary for 2 minutes while I was watching it. Stepped away momentarily, when I looked out again it was gone. I looked around to see if it had moved to another area & couldn't fnd it. It was a clear night.

around august 13 i had seen what i would describe as a formation in the sky. it was flying south east to north west, on a path that i almost every day see military helicoptors and even A-10 fighters fly. The formation made almost no sound. on the left-hand side (as i looked up) i counted around 13 lights. flying right next to that craft to my right hand side was what appeared to be a regular run of the mill airplane. I watched them fly directly over head and i was very shocked that i had not heard anyone else talk about it. It must have been around 2100 hours because it was dark... the craft were flying rather low, i couldn't even really estimate a 'normal' height for a commercial airplane. I got the impression that the craft was being escorted and that maybe it was air force 1. As stated above i often see military craft fly that same route back and forth daily, but I know of no airbase in the direction they fly that is in America.
