The report, as filed

The lights appeared to be broken up into separate distinct lights, like you would expect from an airplane window with solid spaces between the lights, but in an irregular pattern. I see airplanes and jets all day and nights around here (I'm near an airport), but it looked nothing like any plane I have ever seen. As it was directly over head I specifically listened for any sound and heard nothing. I looked to see if there was a body to the object, then noticed the line of lights was preceded and followed by a couple of ligths in the same straight line formation as the others, but separated by a lenghtly distance. The overall length was huge, way to big for any commercial jetliner, and flying to low to not be making a very loud noise; I estimate it's altitude was about 2,500 ft. high. I watched as it flew in a straight line eastward until it flew out of sight. Very bizzare. I have piloted private airplanes with my father since I was 15, and have lived in the area of Paine Fie! ld for approx. 35 years., travelling in commercial airplanes and jets of all sizes over the last 40 years, and have never before seen anything the likes of what I saw tonight.

For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. I was inside the Mukilteo ferry terminal when I saw a dark object moving North over South Whidbey Island. That is about 3.5 miles from where I was. It was probably 500 to 800 ft above the Island. After watching it for a few seconds I could see that it was not an airplane. There were no wings or tail and it appeared to be tumbling as it moved forward. I alerted a young lady that was there and she snapped these shots. At that point it had made an arcing turn to NE and was about over Hat Island when took them. Unfortunately when you zoom in they get blurry. It then continued in the direction of the Tulalip reservation and disappeared. [NUFORC annotation: Balloon - Possible]

I was having dinner with my parents at their home. In the middle of the dinner, as I was talking with my mother, she interrupted me and asked out loud, "What is that in the sky?!" I turned to my left and saw her looking out the sliding glass door window and into the cloudless, eastern blue sky. I asked her what it was she was seeing. She said, "There, up in the sky. That thing is shiny and floating slowly away! Is it a balloon?" I got up from the dinner table and walked over to the window and looked out. In the distance, across and up in the sky–I would say about a few hundred feet in the air, I saw a slow moving object with an oblong oval shape. It appeared to be more wider vertically than the top and bottom which was more shorter in height than its width. The bright western sunlight reflected off the object, which appeared to be like a bright and shiny metallic surface. The size of the object appeared a little smaller than the body length of a Cessna plane. My mother asked if it was a drone or a helicopter. I told her, "No," as it did not make any sound. My dad then came over to the window and he saw it. He was giving the same description that I saw on how it looked. The strange thing is, this craft was coming from the direction of the runway at nearby Paine Field airport where planes take off and land, but we knew that it could not have just taken off from the runway because it was moving too slow, and was too high since it was so close to the runway. My dad and I then noticed the craft seemed to climb a few feet higher with its back end in the air and its front lowered at an angle. We watched the craft drift along to the south for about five minutes. Then before we knew it, the craft, which was still visible and not too far off, quickly started fading and disappeared against the blue sky just moments before a large airliner appeared from the south as it was getting ready to land at the Paine Field runway. We are not sure what this craft was as the entire duration of it went from the north eastern sky to the south. The amazing thing is, is how it disappeared entirely so quickly since it traveled so slow. We would like to remain anonymous at this time, but will report any possible future sightings. This green orb wasn't seen until after I took the pictures and noticed it. I was just taking pictures of the sunset and didn't even notice the orb. The pictures were taken from the Mukilteo to Whidbey Island ferry as it was loading cars. You can see the Mukilteo Beach Lighthouse to the left of the photos and Whidbey Island in the background, and the orb appears in the area of roughly the SW sky from Everett/Mukilteo. Two seconds maximum is the time between taking the pictures. You can see how fast/far the orb moved in that small time frame, and there is also two birds flying together to the left of the orb that appear to have traveled ten-twenty or so feet to backup the two seconds. There is also absolutely no cloud movement at all. Also, something I found to be very interesting is what appears to be similar in appearance to a vapor cone in the second picture. A vapor cone is what is created when a jet breaks the sound barrier at around Mach 1 speed. (I'm ! sure you already knew this). I can zoom in and see some vague details, but I'm sure you can zoom and see much more than my simple Dell. I would love to see anything you can find/see and hear your opinion. Please let me know what you think. Background of the photographer is a middle aged woman that is in the medical field. Not a drug user and not too big into UFO's in general. I just thought I had to share and hope you can get some use from the pictures. That is all the details I can think of for now. Thank you for the time and effort with this site and what you do. Take care. Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. Hence, we are unable to contact the source, in order to request that he forward the photos to our Center. PD

1st siting we saw an orange glowing orb flying from west to south east direction at a slow rate of speed slower than an airplane. There was no noise. About 10 minutes later we saw another orange orb with a white center fly the same direction but closer. The size relative to the moons size that night was approximately 15%. Both times we saw it duration was approximately 3 minutes.

I saw two very bright orange lights in the sky around 9:20 pm on Saturday, the 10th of May. I noticed them through my living room window. I am use to lots of air traffic around here so didn't think to much at first. Then the orange lights got me and they were not flying in any of the normal flight patterns. So I went out on my porch to get a better look. Not an airplane, not a helicopter. They both were up pretty high but close enough that I could see very clearly that I did not recognize the shape. I was mostly focused on the orange lights and trying to rack my brain of what aircraft might have those kinds of lights. There was absolutely no noise. The craft was silent. Seemed to be moving along side by side one a tiny bit further back from the other. I went to get my camera to take a picture, but they were gone when I went back out. Never seen anything like that before. Not with orange lights like that. It was only one bright orange light or a cluster not co! mpletely sure about that. Just wanted to report what I saw. No one I know could explain what it might have been. Because I am a teacher and like my privacy I prefer not to give my name at this time.
