Cube over East Brookfield, MA
A witness account on file, unevaluated. Most of the archive rests here, and honestly so.
The report, as filed
Driving by King's Berry Farm on North Brookfield Rd. in East Brookfield, MA, I noticed a very large, bright light above. It was dusk, too early for stars in the sky and it was too low. I had seen something very similar about a mile down the road approximately 3 months earlier. The time of day was about the same, sometime between 3pm and 4:30pm. It was still light out, close to dusk. I thought maybe it was a plane or helicopter with an unusually large headlight or spot light. I pulled over and heard nothing, it never moved. I took a photo with my phone and it disappeared. No silhouette of a plane, helicopter, etc. It just disappeared instantly. I'm glad my phone recorded the time, date, etc. of the photo so I could accurately report it. Forgot all about it until I browsed my archive folder. The last time I saw it, I remember thinking how odd as it just looked like a stationary car headlight in the sky. I saw that one as I was driving, just before a branch of leaves of a large tree blocked my view and as I drove past the branch, it was gone in an instant. In this photo, as you zoom in, you can see the main form is perfectly square with rays of light emitting from it. Just so large, bright and out of place in my opinion.
Held as-reported from National UFO Reporting Center (record NUFORC #176504). Witness text is preserved verbatim, including its spelling; nothing is edited beyond formatting.
Ask for the records
What would the paper say?
For a dated, located U.S. sighting, FAA radar data and ATC communications are the records most likely to exist. Through Aletheca, the house instrument, anyone can commission the request — filed, chased, and published in the open, refusals included. The draft goes over already written: the records sought, and the date window they would live in.
