The report, as filed
At approximately 5:20 am, I got a text from my daughter. Her husband had taken their dog outside when he noticed the neighbor's dog and theirs barking at the sky. She said to look out the window. I got up and went outside. I saw a bright light over Provo Canyon. At first, I thought it was Venus but saw the light move right and back left. It had two large shafts of light coming from it, but the circle was also very lit up. I woke up my daughter to come watch it with me. At one point, the light went completely out but no clouds had passed in front of it. It was obviously not a star or Venus because it was much larger. It lasted until 5:50 am and we had taken photos and video.

I'll start with the background of the observer. I've always been a skeptic when it comes to UFOs especially since a lot of the time when I hear about sightings in my area drugs or alcohol were involved and I assume the witnesses saw an airplane as I do live near an airport. However, last night I was staring out my window after hearing a couple of loud cars drive past (I have an interest in cars and was curious to see if I could see what they were). There wasn't much to see as I live in the city and it was cloudy but that made the dark isosceles triangle I saw in the sky stand out even more. Somewhere around 9:50 PM I noticed a triangle that seemed to have a faint glowing white outline just hovering still in the air. Around the same time, my phone restarted on its own as well as the motion-sensing lights in my backyard had flickered twice. After the second flicker, the shape was gone. If it weren't for the sudden issues with my electronics I would have tried to come up with a more rational explanation of what I saw but I can't come up with anything. Airplanes tend to fly that low here, but not when it's cloudy and they definitely don't hover.

While we were sitting on a rocky bluff taking in the scenery I happened to notice a bright, shiny object against the deep blue sky. At first I thought it was simply an airplane. But as I watched it for several more seconds I noticed there was no movement. It was totally suspended in the sky, I'd say 2000'-2500' in the air about 3 miles away. To be sure it wasn't moving, I put my thumb up directly under it and watched to see if it went up/down or left/right of my thumb. It did not move. It was hovering in place against ridiculously strong winds blowing from south to north. I watched this strange, hovering behavior for approximately 2-3 mins. About 1 minute after I began watching this object, I said to my wife Connie, "Connie, check that out. There's a UFO right there." I said it half-jokingly, but in my mind there was no other logical explanation. I guess I was looking for some confirmation that what I was seeing was actually happening. We watched it together for another minute or so while it was hovering in place, both of us entirely perplexed. Connie even said to me, "That is really, really weird!" Shortly after she said that the object began to descend rapidly in a controlled manner down and to the left (from south to north) into the strong winds. I quickly grabbed her phone and started recording a video. I couldn't actually see the object on the phone because it was so far away, but I tracked it with my eyes while I moved the phone downward where I thought the object would remain visible in the frame. I lost the object with my eyes (and the phone) when it dropped to the same level as the mountains. That's why the video ends abruptly. I thought it was gone, but it was not. We got a visual on the object again about a minute later. It was hovering just above the treetops in front of the distant mountain. Kind of fading in and out of visibility. Then it just disappeared. Poof! Gone!

One of the orange lights moved closer as the other seemed to move further until no longer visible. I recorded the lights for a minute and then went on the house to grab my mom. By the time she came out the light had changed into a oval shape the bright orange remained as an outline but the center was now a bright white and much bigger in size. From estimated distance the shape appeared to be very large. The shape moved down and in front of the mountain near my home it moved down until it appeared that it may have reached ground and disappeared.

At approximately 12 am on the 2nd of March 2021 I saw a potential craft with a very bright light as it approached coming from the West and approaching to the East in a rising motion. It approached toward my home in Provo, Utah. Soon then after as it approached I saw the stomach of the object and shape which was a circular/ oval shape with lights running down the middle of it as it appeared to be grey everywhere else. It was big and it flew over the mountain above my home. The sound of it was of 3 motor cycles together. I was surprised that it did not have more sound as of a plane or a helicopter.

We were oUt for a walk and noticed several bright lights in the upper atmosphere traveling from the SouthWest to the NorthEast at very high speed. Lights brightness stayed constant indicating self illuminating as sunlight hitting a surface would cause it ot dim once your vantage point changed as they passed overhead, they made NO noise or course changes. Lights traveled in the same direction on the same course separated by 5-10 miles best guess. A search of Flight tracker at the time showed NO aircraft in the area on that course or altitude.

Objects in floating in the sky for the past three hours now it has not moved in anyway regarding the amount of wind that we have at my wind instrument measurement of 21 mph object is cylinder shaped shows a white silver base color from when I can see you when I zoomed in on my camera for several people are witnessing this says everybody at this resort which is Sundance Mountain resort seeing this are wondering what it is.
